Winston POV
I stop dead in my tracks. Macy's hand covers her mouth, and she cries. I pray they are happy tears.
"Say it again," she whispers.
"Macy," I say her name a little louder this time.
My voice is hoarse, and it hurts to speak, but I will say her name a thousand times if it makes her happy. Macy drops to her knees in the middle of the street and hides her head in her hands. Her body shakes with the sobs that are taking over her body. Her emotions hit me through the mate bond. She is happy, sad, terrified, exhausted, anxious; the list could go on.
Edward and I rush to her side and help her to her feet. She wraps her arms around our necks and holds us close. I don't know how long we have been apart, for us it has been about two months, but it has been much longer for her. It seems to have taken a toll on her
"I was so scared," she whimpers. "I thought you would have moved on."
"Never," Edward breathes. "We belong to you."
More tears run down her face and I fear she is broken beyond repair. Edward and I both have questions about what happened in the Human Realm and our family but now isn't the time. Macy needs to rest.
Edward scoops her into his arms, and she rests her head on his shoulder. Her eyes are already beginning to flutter shut.
When I open the door to the house we are staying in, Father, Wren, and Nyx are blocking our way in. They are all asking a thousand questions, but I push the aside, making way for Edward to carry her upstairs.
"How is Raven?" Father demands to know.
"Now is not the time," I manage to growl.
"Can't you see she is exhausted?" Edward snaps.
Macy lifts her head from Edward's shoulder and smiles weakly. "Raven is well," she whispers.
Edward bares his teeth at Father as he ascends the stairs. He won't be able to be the diplomatic one. Not this time.
"We allow you to speak with Macy when she is rested," I tell everyone.
"I want to go home," Wren sobs.
Father wraps his arm around her and holds her close. Nyx guides them away from the stairs. "Let her rest."
I open the door to the room we have been saving for Macy, and Edward lays her on the bed in the middle of the room. She whimpers at the loss of Edward's touch, but her eyes are too heavy to stay awake.
We stand on either side of the bed and look down at her. She is just as beautiful as the day she left, but her face is gaunt. Dark circles are beneath her eyes, and her skin is pale. The red robes she is wearing hang loosely on her body, and the Gray Creatures diadem hangs on her forehead. She has been through hell, and we weren't there to protect her. It makes me wonder who she had on her side.
"We should let her sleep," Edward whispers, but he doesn't move.
"I am not leaving her side," I whisper back.
Edward smirks. "I never said we should leave. Just that we should let her sleep."
He begins to take off his clothes, and I do the same. He climbs on one side of Macy. and I, on the other. The bed is big enough for the three of us. That is something we planned for. Edward and I knew she would return to us, and we wanted to be prepared.
She curls into my chest, and I breathe in her scent. The tingles from the mate bond spread throughout our bodies. Edward wraps an arm around her from behind, and we engulf her. For a moment, I worry she won't be able to breathe, but she doesn't seem to mind.
After a few moments, Edward is snoring, but I can't seem to fall asleep. A question is plaguing my mind. Why am I able to speak? What did Macy give to the Moon Goddess?
While the two of them sleep, I watch Macy. The longer we hold her, the more color comes back to her cheeks. I hope the bond between us is healing whatever is broken inside her. At some point, I fall asleep as well, with Macy tucked in my arms.
I am not sure how long we have been asleep, but it feels like days. Macy stirs beside me, and I groan when her hand brushes against my cock. At first, I think it is a mistake on her part, but then her fingers grip me through my boxers. Suddenly, I am wide awake.
Glancing over her shoulder, I see Edward is still fast asleep, but I am not wasting this opportunity. I flip Macy onto her back and slide between her legs, which she spreads for me invitingly. Her arousal peppers the air, and there is no time for foreplay.
I fumble with my boxers and growl in with frustration. Macy giggles but covers her mouth, so we don't wake Edward. I scowl at her, but it only makes her laugh harder. Finally, I let a claw extend from my fingertip and slice through the material.
Macy pulls up the skirts of her robes, exposing her pussy. I am torn. I want to bury my face between her thighs, but my cock is throbbing. Two months without her has been a long time. While I am debating what to do, Macy reaches between us and strokes my cock.
She rubs the head of my dick against her entrance, and I push my way in. We both groan loudly, no longer caring about Edward's sleep. Being inside her feels divine. I take slow deliberate strokes, letting her feel every inch of me. Her walls flutter and tighten around me, and I doubt I will be able to last.
"I love you," she whispers.
"I love you too," I moan.
"Say it again," she begs. "In fact, just say anything. It has been too long since I have heard your voice."
"Macy," I groan next to her ear.
At the sound of her name, her hips buck wildly and I am forced to pick up the speed. Her lips part slightly as she nears the edge, and I can't resist kissing her. My mouth crashes down onto hers, and she moans into my mouth, but I silence her with a swipe of my tongue.
The kiss is hungry and greedy. Our teeth clink together, and our tongues wrestle. It is messy and wild, just the same as our hips. With each thrust, she tightens around me. Then, she screams into my mouth. Her body quivers as she comes undone around me and I have no reason to hold back. Once she has ridden out her orgasm, I thrust into her spilling my speed.
Her fingers dig into my back as I slow my pace. I break away from the kiss and rest my forehead on hers. Her blue eyes are sparkling with unshed tears.
"Did I hurt you?" I whisper.
She shakes her head, but Edward scoffs loudly. "There is no point in being quiet now. I'm awake."
Macy wipes away the tears and laughs. Edward pushes me on the shoulder and I carefully roll to the side. He does not give her a moment to rest before he takes my place between her legs. He slams into her in one swift movement, and her back arches off the bed.
I keep my hands to myself while they have their time together, but I can't take my eyes off her. Edward pulls her back off the bed and into his lap. His arm wraps around her waist, and the other hand cups her face. They are lost in each other's eyes, and it is beautiful.
Her head falls back as she comes, exposing the exquisite curve of her neck. My mark still shines brightly on her neck. Her eyes meet mine when her head tilts to the side, and she reaches for me. I take her hand, and Edward groans. He holds her close to his chest as his hips jerk roughly.
He doesn't let her go or lay her back on the bed. Instead, he pulls the robes over her head and kisses along the nape of her neck. I move in to join. As soon as my lips trail over my mark, a knock on the door interrupts us.
Edward snarls as he pulls away, but Macy places a gentle hand on his chest. "Who is it?"
"Nyx," she sighs. "They are getting impatient downstairs."
"They can wait," I growl.
"No," Macy says quietly. "They can't. We have the rest of our lives to do this. Wren needs to get home and find her mate."
