Tish POV
I am lying on the small cot in my prison. Out of all the places I have been held captive this place is the most comfortable. I am not tied or chained to anything and I can move around the room as I please. A few times a day the burly rogue that took me from the Uber comes in and feeds me. I haven't seen Phoebe since I first arrived. I am sure she is avoiding me.
The lock on the door clicks, and the burly rogue comes in with a tray of food. He sits it down on the floor and turns to leave.
"Wait," I call out after him. He pauses at the door, but he doesn't turn around. "I'm bored."
"You are a prisoner," he reminds me. "I am not here to entertain you."
"Ugh," I groan, throwing myself onto the cot. "How much longer do I have to stay here?"
"Until the Alpha decides what to do with you," he replies.
"Alpha?" I perk up. "I thought Phoebe was in charge."
The rogue chuckles loudly. "Phoebe is too young to run an organization like this."
I shrug my shoulders. "I am only stating what she told me. I just don't understand why you need me. I am not the one that killed Francesca. I mean, I was there, but I was locked in the trunk of a car."
"You are close to the Luna Queen," he says with certainty.
"What?" I snort. "Raven hates me. Probably more than Kieran."
The rogue runs his hand down his face and growls loudly, but his anger isn't directed at me. He opens the door and screams for Phoebe. He paces in front of the door until she peeks around the door. The rogue grabs her by the arm and tugs her into my prison.
"You called for me," Phoebe says as she gazes at the rogue.
He doesn't let go of her arm and Phoebe is beginning to squirm uncomfortably. "Tell her what you just told me," he snarls in my direction.
"Which part?" I say, tossing the roll from my tray up in the air like it is a ball.
"The part about the Luna Queen," he snaps at me.
I sit up on the cot and laugh. "Raven hates me. Like a lot."
Phoebe's eyes widen, and she chokes on her words. I grin at the man.
"That's not why you brought me here, is it?" I laugh. "Tell him the truth."
Phoebe scoffs. "I don't know what you are talking about."
"You brought me here for some sort of delusional revenge because of who my mates are," I remind her. "You didn't tell whoever your boss is your secret plan to get rid of me."
The rogue lifts her up my her arm awkwardly and growls in her face. "Why do you care who her mates are?"
"Jason," she whimpers. "Baby. She is lying. I don't even know who her mates are."
I am popping food into my mouth, watching the show in front of me. It is like a TV drama unfolding in front of me.
Jason turns his eyes on me and growls. "Who are your mates?"
"The twins," I say, like I am bored.
Jason drops Phoebe to the ground, and she falls to her knees. Her body is shaking as she looks at the ground, but Jason makes no move to help her up.
"The Alpha twins from the South Pack?" He snarls.
"Do you know them?" I smirk.
Jason's chest is rising and falling quickly, and I get the feeling things are about to get really scary, really fast. I back as far away from him as I can get. His eyes are turning black, and growls are beginning to rumble in his chest.
Phoebe scrambles to her feet and wraps her arms around Jason, trying to pull his attention back to her. "It's not what you think," she cries.
"Our mate bond means nothing to you," he snarls. "If you had a chance to be with those Alphas, you would."
"Ooo," I whisper. "He is your mate?" I shove more food in my mouth because this is getting good.
"No," she pleads. "I really thought she was friends with the Luna Queen."
"I left my pack for you!" He shouts as he brushes her to the side. "I went rogue for you."
I suck air in between my teeth. "Yikes," I whisper.
Jason gestures to me wildly. "Even this human bitch knows what a big deal that is."
I scrunch my nose up and whisper in Phoebe's direction. "It is such a big deal."
Phoebe glares in my direction, "I know what a big deal it is."
Jason starts to storm for the door, and I hop to my feet. "Wait," I call after him. His face is beet red when he turns around. "What pack did you leave?"
"Does it matter?" He growls.
"Kind of," I shrug my shoulders.
"East Pack," he replies dryly.
"Hm," I mumble under my breath.
"What?" He growls at me.
"Nothing," I chirp. "It's just that the East Pack has been quiet for a while."
"What do you know about the packs?" He laughs.
"Enough," I reply.
"My father worked hard to rebuild the East Pack's reputation after Alpha Jet destroyed it," Jason says proudly.
"Oh no," I giggle. "You are the son of an Alpha."
Phoebe latches onto Jason's arm, but he looks down at her with disdain. "He was happy to give it up for me."
"I don't understand," I sigh. "You could have been a Luna. Isn't that what you wanted?"
"He is fine with his decision to leave his pack and join the recusants. Aren't you?" Phoebe smiles at him.
Jason sucks in a sharp breath and doesn't answer her. A frown pulls at the corners of her lips, but she tries to remain cheerful. My smile, on the other hand, is genuine.
"Are you sure he is still okay with it?" I laugh. "I mean, the man gave up his pack, his family, his title, and likely his religion for you. All while you are still pining over two Alphas that were never yours to begin with."
Phoebe growls at me and throws her dark hair over her shoulder, and my smile grows wider.
"And you aren't marked," I add in.
Suddenly, the door to my room opens, and the Uber driver peeks his head inside. I cross my arms angrily over my chest, and he waves in my direction before laying eyes on Jason.
"There you are, brother," he says excitedly. "The Luna Queen is on the move."
The two men race out of the room, leaving me alone with Phoebe. She straightens her dress and marches over to me. I can't wipe the smile off my face, and Phoebe strikes me. It hurts more than I would like to admit, but I turn my head back in her direction and smile.
"Never speak to one of my men ever again," she threatens me.
"I would venture to guess they are not your men," I quip.
Phoebe rips the apple out of my hand and tosses it across the room in anger. "I am going to kill you when I get back."
I hold my hand over my heart and smirk. "Is that a promise?"
