Archie's POV
When I watched Alisha leaving without looking back, accompanied by Gray and Louie, my heart felt like it was being fried in hot oil. How I wished she would change her mind! If only she apologized, I could forgive her for her helplessness and insolence this time.
But she was cold-hearted and left without any nostalgia, leaving those other two bastards behind.
Rage consumed me; I kicked the table and sofa, wanting to tear down the entire house. Brad kneeled down with fear right now.
At this time, my wolf's voice echoed in my mind, "Archie, I sense the presence of our mate, the person we have been searching for. However, for some reason, she seems no longer to belong to us."
"Oh, come on, you idiot! What mate are you talking about? Are you still half asleep? You have been dozing off since the island, and now you wake up talking nonsense! That bitch Alisha has run off with someone else! Why didn't you just sleep through doomsday and then wake up?"

"Alisha, Gray, and Louie, those two bastard, left me! Left the Golden Crest!"

I really felt her presence just now; she woke me from my slumber! But I have a nasty feeling now. We can't waste time."
"Who has been abandoned? I haven't! I don't want Alisha at all; I have had enough of her a long time ago!"
"Okay, fine, it's good she has gone. So now, get moving and let's find our mate! I even caught her wolf scent, unbelievably sweet! But it only lasted a short while and then disappeared, so get moving and chase after her!"
"Alisha trampled on my dignity. Even though I don't care about her, I can't just let this go easily! And Gray and Louie, those two bastards!" I bitterly regretted not severely injuring Louie back on the island. That way, he couldn't keep harassing Alisha.
"Archie!" My wolf suddenly roared in my mind. "Go find our mate now! If you refuse, let me go on my own! If I waste any more time with you, I might miss her! I absolutely won't allow that to happen! Let me out!"
It was the first time I had seen my wolf so urgent and angry, and I was momentarily stunned. It was usually lazy, preferring sarcasm than action, seldom this agitated. I couldn't help but say, "Hey, are you still half-asleep? We have been in the room all this time, not even seen a female wolf, and now you smell something sweet! It's impossible."
"Archie, you jerk! Do you think I'm an idiot? We have been chasing our mate all this time; how could I possibly get it wrong?" My wolf shouted angrily.
"But the fact is, besides that heartless woman Alisha, I have NOT even seen a single female mosquito! Clearly, it is your own brain that's messed up! And now you are blaming me! I bet you can't bear to let go of that woman Alisha and are deliberately finding excuses! If you like her so much, go be her little puppy since she doesn't have her own wolf! Just get lost!"
"Archie, are you serious? Was it really just Alisha here?"
"What, do I need to lie to you? But let me remind you, even if you go to her, she is surrounded by other wolves wagging their tails and pleasing her; she probably won't even look at you, hmph!" I sarcastically remarked.
"Archie!" My wolf's voice suddenly became serious. "If what you said is true, then we must see Alisha to confirm this. It's unbelievable."
"Why meet her? She has already chosen to leave with someone else; I absolutely won't see her again! I have beat them, and they should be thankful for that!"
"Just to confirm what I sensed about the mate's scent coming from Alisha! It's crucial for us!"
"Are you seriously daft from the last fight on the island? How could Alisha possibly be our mate? She doesn't even have her own wolf, let alone the ability to establish a real bond with me! That's the most important reason why I agreed to marry her, won't stop me to find my true mate, and you should be very clear about that!"
"Yes, Archie, because I understand all that, I feel it is even more necessary to see Alisha. For so many years, we have been searching for a mate, traversing countless places, encountering many she-wolves, but I have never had this feeling. Her scent is like sunlight in a dark world, warm, enticing, making every cell in my body excited!"
Hearing my wolf's serious description, I hesitated, "But we have been married for so long; if there was some damn scent, we should have smelled it long ago, not today!"
"Archie, I don't know the reason either, but when I was on the island, I had a similar feeling, a sense of being called upon by our mate. Though that scent was faint, I knew she was in danger, scared and frightened. That is why I uncontrollably got involved in the battle, wanting to protect our mate."
"What did you say? You felt the mate's presence on the island?" I couldn't believe what I have heard.
"Yes, although faint, it was definitely the mate's scent! Then when I woke up this time, the scent was stronger than before! So, Archie, trust me, this isn't a coincidence or an illusion; we have really met our mate!"
Hearing my wolf's words, I was completely stunned. I've been searching for my mate, the one I have always loved in my heart, but unfortunately, I have found nothing. If my wolf was telling the truth, if she appeared on the island before and here just now, then, it must be Alisha!
