Reject my Alpha Husband

Chapter 79 this is a trap for you

Ch. 79 / 120 Jan 30, 2026

Alisha's POV

When we got Black Furies, Carey, the Beta of the Black Furies whom I recognized, stopped us. Carey looked at me and asked, "Alisha, who are they?"

I explained, "They're my friends, here to bring me back to the Black Furies. Can you please tell me how my grandmother Magaly is doing?"

Carey replied, "We don't know Magaly's condition, but the Alpha has ordered that if you return, you should go directly to the infirmary." He then looked at Gray and Louie and added, "Alone."

Upon hearing this, Gray and Louie frowned, seeming quite opposed to this request. However, I didn't have time to dwell on these issues, so I said to Carey, "Please, take care of our friends first. They are very distinguished guests." Then, I turned to Gray and Louie and said, "I'm sorry, I need to see my grandmother first. I'll find you later." Without waiting for their response, I hurriedly headed towards the direction of Magaly's infirmary.

My anxiety and restlessness dissipated as soon as I entered the infirmary and saw Magaly. I took deep breaths, calmed myself, and slowly approached Magaly's sickbed.

Magaly still had her eyes tightly closed, exactly as when I last saw her: serene and kind. I softly called out, "Grandmother?"

However, there was no response from the person in the bed. I furrowed my brows and called out again, "Grandmother?"

Unfortunately, there was still no response.

I surveyed the room and realized there was no one else present. It was exceptionally quiet in the infirmary. Something felt off.

Sure enough, in the next moment, Evita appeared at the door, her face gloomy. She said, "Stop calling, she won't wake up. You don't need to dream anymore."

I frowned and asked, "What do you mean?"

"It was I who tricked you into coming back. Magaly won't wake up, and since you care so much about her, from now on, you will be forever asleep, just like her. Don't wake up anymore."

I felt uneasy; Evita seemed to have malicious intentions. So I warned her, "You know my identity. Don't be foolish. This is the Black Furies. If Joey finds out about your crazy plans, he won't spare you."

Evita sneered, "Hah, you don't need to worry about me. I've been prepared for this for a long time."

When we reached the Black Furies, Carey, the Beta I recognized, halted us with a stern look. He peered at me and inquired, "Alisha, who are they?"

I quickly clarified, "They are my friends. They have come to help me return to the Black Furies. Can you tell me about my grandmother Magaly? How is she doing?"

Carey responded, "We don't have any news on Magaly's condition, but the Alpha has given an order: if you return, you should head directly to her treatment room." His gaze then shifted to Gray and Louie, and he emphasized, "Alone."

Gray and Louie exchanged uneasy glances, obviously not liking the idea. Yet, I couldn't dwell on this matter.

I turned to Carey and pleaded, "Please, take care of our guests. They're really important." Then, addressing Gray and Louie, I said, "I'm sorry, but I need to see my grandmother first. I will catch up with you later."

Without waiting for their response, I hastened towards the treatment room, my concerns pushing me forward.

The closer I got to the infirmary, the more my anxiety dissipated. When I finally entered, my restlessness turned into calm as I saw Magaly lying there. I took a deep breath, trying to steady my nerves, and approached her bedside with care.

Magaly lay with her eyes shut, just as I had last seen her, peaceful and kind. She had been sleeping for too much time, and I was looking forward that she could wake up and talk with me again. I called out softly, "Grandma?"

Yet, there was no response from her. I furrowed my brows and tried again, "Grandma?"

Still, she lay motionless.

Scanning the room, I noticed it was utterly quiet in the treatment room, an odd atmosphere hung in the air.

And then, like a shadow, Evita materialized in the doorway, her expression dark. She declared, "Stop calling. She won't wake up. So, you don't need to waste time on her."

I puzzled, "Where are you here? And what do you mean?"

"I lured you back here. But Magaly won't wake up, and you will fall into a coma forever, just like her. No more waking up." Evita replied with a smirk.

I felt uneasy, for Evita seemed to have malicious intentions. So I warned her, "You are aware of my identity. Don't be foolish. This is the Black Furies. If Joey learns of your reckless plans, he won't be merciful."

Evita sneered, "You don't need to worry about me. I have been preparing for this for a long time. Nobody will know today's secret."

As Evita spoke with confidence, I suddenly became aware of the unnerving silence in the treatment room. There was an eerie stillness, and I realized that, aside from the two of us, there were no signs of doctors, nurses, or guards.

My eagerness to see Magaly had blinded me to this unsettling fact, and it had landed me in a dangerous situation now.

I needed a plan, a way to get out of this predicament and ensure Magaly's safety.

Evita noticed my growing anxiety, and her amusement was evident. She taunted, "You have realized that there's no one here to save you, right? But it is too late now. You got lucky earlier, escaping our well-planned attack. But now, there is no one to assist you. Today, you are fated to meet your end at my hands, you wretch!"

Her words sent my heart racing, and I couldn't help but retort, "Planned attack? You have planned to harm me before? When? And who else is involved in this besides you?"

She seemed to take pleasure in my distress and revealed, "Well, you are about to meet your end, so I would tell you before your demise. The attack on the island was meant to eliminate you, and today, you won't be as fortunate. And as for my partner, hahaha, someone who despises you as much as I do. Can you guess who?"
