Pregnant After Being Marked By The Dangerous Alpha

Chapter 13

Ch. 13 / 113 Apr 24, 2026

Talon's Perspective

"Alpha, we took down a group of suspicious werewolves on our pack's outskirts." I was woken up by a mind link message from Braum, Bard’s brother.

"Are they from the Purple Moon Pack?" I asked grimly, getting out of the bedroom quietly to meet Braum.

"I believe so. Alpha Shaco isn't aware of this yet. They must be returning from somewhere else."

"Take me to see them." I ordered after joining Braum in the doorway.

Braum nodded, and then turned and led the way.

"Any other information about these werewolves? Are they involved in the recent attack?"

"No, they were quite tight-lipped," Braum replied.

When Braum and I reached the basement, we were met with a strong stench of blood. Three werewolves lay on the floor, gasping for air and moaning in pain.

I approached one of the werewolves and crouched down.

"Who sent you out there?" I stared at him as my eyes turned into cold amber. The wolf inside me let out an intimidating howl.

The hewolf looked away from me, only to earn a slap from Braum.

"Tell me, what was your mission out there?" I asked coldly as my patience was running out, my claws about to show.

"It's..." Intimadated by my aura, the hewolf finally gave in and decided to speak out.

However, his eyes suddenly widened as his body collapsed straight to the ground, convulsing.

"He’s dead, Alpah." Braum approached to test his breath, sighing.

"Alpha!" Just as we were all hit by frustration, Bard’s deep voice rang out, his imposing figure emerging on the balcony.

"Did you found something?" I asked Bard.

"Yes, a letter," Bard replied, “and judged from the way it was sealed, the letter should be quite important.”

Taking the folded parchment scroll from Bard, I saw bloodstains on it.

"We found this attached to the back of one of the werewolves when we were processing the scene. But there was nothing written on it," Bard explained in confusion.

"Interesting," I said, scrutinizing the parchment scroll closely. "Fetch a candle."

While waiting for the candle, I continued to examine the parchment scroll carefully.

"Anything wrong with this letter, Alpha?" Bard was a bit puzzled.

“I’m not sure. But let’s try our luck.” After the candle was delivered over, I placed the parchment scroll on top of the candlestick, causing the characters on the parchment to quickly blacken.

"Alpha!" Braum shouted nervously.

Just as everyone froze, the black on the characters slowly faded, ultimately solidifying into a hot gold logo.

It was a wolf's head with a small crown atop it! The symbol of the Lycan.

"The Lycan King?!" Clearly, Bard couldn’t believe what he saw.

"Don't worry. It's not over yet." I dropped the entire parchment into the burning candlestick.

Panicked, Braum hurried to retrieve it from the candle, thinking that I had mishandled it onto the flame.

"Wait!" I commanded.

My words halted Braum's hand in mid-air, though he still seemed uncertain.

As my words fell, the parchment scroll on the candlestick suddenly erupted into a thick black fog that soon filled the entire space, accompanied by a stirng of wolf howls.

A few minutes later, the black mist gradually dispersed, leaving the once wrinkled and dirty parchment scroll looking brand new, as if it had just been written.

"How did you know this, Alpha?" Bard asked in surprise.

"The material of this parchment isn't quite the same as the normal ones." I explained.

As I slowly opened the parchment scroll, my face turned sullen and my hand holding the parchment scroll began to shake.

I clenched my teeth in an attempt not to let out a snarl of anger.

"What does it say, Alpha?" Bard inquired.

"Indeed, something's not right," I commented. "This letter is from the Lycan King to Alpha Shaco.”

“The Lycan King tells Alpha Shaco that the son of the former Lycan King is still alive. And reliable sources indicate that the recent death of the senior member from the Purple Moon Pack is related to this fugitive son.”

“He also asks Alpha Shaco in the letter to eliminate the son of the former Lycan King."

"Could this mean our identity got exposed?" Braum furrowed his brow.

"What do you suggest?" I stashed the parchment scroll away, then retrieved it and set it ablaze with the candle's flickering flame.

"Do you think Witch Camille might have leaked this information?" Braum looked up at me, his gaze unsteady, as he wasn't quite sure about my relationship with Camille.

"I doubt it. Given the bounty the Lycan King once placed on killing me, it was a sum no one could resist," I sneered.

"Alpha, why don't we take actions preemptively? I think we need to hunt down Alpha Shaco right now. If we wait until he’s 100% sure that you're the old King's child, it might be too late," Bard declared with undisguised anger.

"We mustn't rush, Bard. At least not before I figure ot Alpha Shaco's background and how much they know about us," Braum reassured Bard, patting him on the shoulder to calm him down.

"What's our plan then? Sit idle by and give him the time to find everything about us and report us to the Lycan King?" Bard grumbled, still visibly frustrated.

"Don't forget, Bard, why I went to the Purple Moon Pack that night. Things at the Purple Moon are not as peaceful as it may seem," I slowly walked over to the window, gazing at the moon in the sky.

"There are many surprises awaiting us here."

"Alpha, do you mean...?" Braum asked hesitantly as he followed me to the window.

"Caitlyn's father," I said meaningfully, “maybe he’s the key on our journey to take the throne back!”
