My Best Friend's Dad

The Accusation

Ch. 104 / 161 Apr 20, 2026

Elona’s POV

It had been a few days since I had last been at The Dakota Agency. It was also nearly the end of our schooling career. I just wanted this year to be over so that I could pursue modeling. I have submitted my application to VFS, so I’m crossing my fingers that I will be accepted. The class was quiet, I was waiting for class to be dismissed. I’ve been avoiding Mr Monroe due to the photoshoot thing. I still got stares, but I chose to ignore people.

“Psssst,” I snapped out of it and Cris looked at me, handing a folded note to me. I reached for it, unfolding it.

We are invited to Sammy’s house party on the evening of our graduation. Please, say you will go with me.

I looked at her as the class now started to become rowdy. “Please?” Cris begged. Spooky just looked at us, he made peace with her, but that didn’t stop his hurt.

“I don’t know. What will your father say?” I asked, arching an eyebrow.

“I don’t care what he has to say this time. We will be done with school. Let’s live a little after everything especially what happened between you and my dad,” she looked at me with pleading eyes.

I let out a heavy breath, “Fine.”

“Yes!” Cris exclaimed softly. The excitement coursed through her. I was glad to have my best friend back, and we were able to put our differences aside.

“Count me out,” Spooky said as he looked ahead of him. Cris only shrugged in return. I still hated what she did to him. I could still see the tension between them.

“Class is dismissed,” Mr Monroe called out. My eyes found his. He was already looking at me with a neutral expression as the class filed out.

“I won’t be walking with you home today, my dad will be picking me up,” Cris said as she slung her backpack over her shoulder as I packed up my things.

“I will see you tomorrow then,” I replied as I stood up.

“Cool! See ya.” She said and left.

“I can walk you home if you want me to,” Spooky offered, as we both slung our bags over our shoulders.

“You don’t have to, I will be okay. Thank you for the offer though,” I smiled politely.

He nodded, “I will see you tomorrow,” he smiled before turning to leave.

“Spooky,” I said. He stopped and looked at me, “I’m sorry that you have to be in this position with Cris around.” I felt bad about it.

“Don’t worry about it. I won’t be seeing her after graduation and this is nothing for me, so relax,” he gave me a forced smile before walking away. That was more like torture for him to sit in our conversations.

I briefly glanced in Mr Monroe’s direction, he stood up as I walked towards the door, he just looked at me, not saying a word as he also walked towards the door. I stepped out first into the hallway. “Elona,” I stopped in my tracks, hoping that he wouldn’t even ask me to stay behind. I was dreading this. I turned around to face him, already feeling the stares of the students on me who were in the hallway. Mr Monroe stood in front of me, “I just wanted to say that you did well in your test. Better than anyone else,” the corners of his lips curled up.

I returned the smile, “Thank you,” I said. I heard a whistle, and I looked straight at one of the male students, walking past us. He was smirking at me.

“Keep up the good work,” Mr Monroe encouraged me as he pulled my attention back on him.

“I will. I have to go.” I turned around as fast as I could and walked fast down the hallway, not even paying any attention to anyone around me. But then I was grabbed by the wrist. I gasped, my lips parted.

“Tristan,” I said, barely above a whisper.

I looked at the admin desk, Miss Jennings was watching us as she held papers in her hands, glaring at us. “First Monroe and now Luca?” he hissed, and I looked at him. He was fuming, and I just didn’t understand why.

“Just because you see me with them doesn’t mean anything,” I replied, as anger started to rise from within me.

“You let Luca fuck you,” he scowled at me. I was taken aback because that never happened. I know there are issues going on between them, but I feel like I’m always being caught in the middle of their issues.

“You broke up with me. You want me back. Now you are furious with the fact that I get to fuck whomever I want.” I held his gaze. “You don’t get to tell me what I can and cannot do anymore. We are no longer together, and you need to accept that. It seems like you just became worse, and you need to look at yourself for a change if you ever want me back. You keep on pushing me away because of this. I’ve never known you to be this kind of person, but ever since you laid eyes on me, you were possessive, and you still think you can be. I. Get. To. Fuck. Whomever. I. Want.” I made it perfectly clear, although it was breaking me while still rooted in anger towards this man who broke my heart. “You do not know what we lost, so don’t...just don’t come anywhere near me again. If that is all that you have to say, then I won’t waste one more breath on you.” I hissed before I walked away from him.

The anger that overtook me, pumped the adrenaline within me, “Dad, what did you do now?” I heard Cris asked him.

I couldn’t care less now. The more I don’t get to see him, the better. I don’t know what else he would accuse me of next and that just drives me further away from him.
