Grace sat morosely in her room, chiding herself over her perceived stupidity. Why did all the men in her life always betray her? She felt an overwhelming sense of loneliness and despair as she replayed the recent events in her mind.
"Here is your breakfast, Madame Luna." An omega entered her room, carrying a platter of mouthwatering pancakes. The sight and smell of the food did nothing to sooth Grace's mood.
"Take it away," Grace commanded, her voice sharp and unyielding.
The omega trembled, clearly intimidated. "Do you need anything else, Madam?" she asked hesitantly.
"No! I'm not hungry at all. I don't want anything. Do not bother me." Grace lost her temper, her voice rising as she sank further into her blanket, trying to hide from the world.
The omega quickly retreated, leaving Grace alone with her thoughts. The silence of the room felt oppressive, a constant reminder of her isolation. Martin betrayed her, Chris hurt her, and the people she thought she could trust abandoned her.
"Why do they always betray me?" she whispered to herself, her voice cracking with emotion.
"What did I do to deserve this?"
Tears welled up in her eyes as she hugged her knees to her chest, feeling utterly defeated. She had thought Martin's love was genuine and that he was different. But now, it all seemed like a cruel joke.

"Good girl," Chris mumbled as the pretty omega sucked him. His day had been going great, and Thomas had completed the negotiations. The moon festival was next week, and he would meet Rosalie again.
Her thought sent him into a frenzy of excitement, and he grabbed the omega's hair and pulled her closed, shoving his dick deeper into her throat. The omega gagged, tears streaming down her face as she tried to pull away. She couldn't believe how quickly things had escalated, feeling trapped and scared in that moment.
"You are a shame to the pack," someone yelled from outside Chris’s office. "Come out and fight with me."
Chris rubbed his temples, irritation building.
"Go away!" he shouted, vowing to deal with the intruder later. He was in no mood for confrontations today, but it seemed his peace was not meant to last.
Suddenly, the door was yanked open with such force that it hung precariously from its hinges. A furious man stood in the doorway, glaring at Chris and panting heavily. The omega, who had been seated on the ground, screamed and scrambled to her feet, backing away in fear.
"What do you want ?" Chris shouted.
The man took a step forward, his fists clenched. "You know exactly what I want," he growled, his voice filled with rage.
"You killed my brother ! Chris, I'm going to challenge you for the role of Alpha," the man roared.
Chris sighed and turned to face the intruder.
It was Geoffrey, Gregory's brother. "What a pain!" Chris muttered under his breath.
"Seriously? Your brother was a moron who tried to assault your Luna. Are you sure you want to get killed for that garbage?" Chris said, zipping up his jeans with casual disdain.
"My brother was indeed foolish to have served you. But you're not a saint, either. You have shamed your forefathers with your despicable lifestyle. They were good leaders who cared for the pack. They were not perverts like you are. The pack no longer approves of you and your conceited mate." With a voice full of righteous wrath, Geoffrey exclaimed, "Chris, I'm challenging you. Prove your worth as a true leader or step down from your position."
Chris smirked, unfazed by Geoffrey's challenge.
"Do you really want to die, Geoffery ?"
Geoffrey stood his ground, his eyes blazing with determination. "I will not back down, Chris. The pack deserves a leader who truly cares for them."
Chris's smirk faltered slightly, a flicker of uncertainty crossing his face before he composed himself once more.
"I accept your challenge, Geoffrey. Let's settle this once and for all in front of the pack."
"Let's finish it now. Everyone, go out into the circle." He got up from his chair and walked boldly towards the circle. His body language showed that he was sure of himself and strong.
Everyone in the vicinity stopped what they were doing and hurried towards the circle. By the time Chris arrived, it was already packed with spectators. He undressed calmly before shifting into his enormous silver wolf. Geoffrey followed suit, transforming into his wolf form with a snarl.
Without any warning, Geoffrey lunged at Chris. But Chris was ready. He sidestepped the attack effortlessly, his movements fluid and precise. Geoffrey was strong, but Chris was still the Alpha. Despite his many faults, he was incredibly powerful.
The fight was brutal but brief, lasting barely five minutes. Chris’s superior strength and experience quickly overwhelmed Geoffrey. With a final, vicious move, Chris tore Geoffrey's heart from his chest and held it aloft, triumphant. He spat it out and howled, a sound that echoed through the clearing.
The pack members bowed their heads in submission, acknowledging Chris’s dominance. They knew now, more than ever, that Chris was invincible. No one was capable of defeating him.
The crowd dispersed, murmuring amongst themselves. Chris shifted back to his human form and dressed quickly, his mind already moving past the confrontation. He would need to address the pack's growing discontent, but that was a problem for another day.
As he walked back to his quarters, Chris couldn't help but think about Grace. He had been avoiding her, knowing she was deeply hurt and confused. He needed Grace's cooperation. He would have to find a way to mend their relationship in order to maintain her loyalty and support. Grace was a valuable ally, and Chris couldn't afford to lose her trust.
But for now, he needed a moment to breathe and gather his thoughts. He closed the door behind him, leaving the chaos of the outside world for a brief moment of solitude. He was the Alpha, and he would deal with all the challenges that came his way. But he couldn't ignore the growing unrest within his pack; perhaps he needed to be more brutal. But first, he had to deal with Alex and get Rosalie back.
