Louisa Unchained

Chapter 216

Ch. 216 / 262 Apr 29, 2026

  Louisa's POV

Leo walked into the tent and I saw his face was a bit swollen.

There was still some remaining bruise on the corner of his mouth.

He was a Lycan and a Lycan could always heal himself.

The bruise was still present overnight. I couldn't even imagine what kind of punishment he had been through last night.

"Leo," I said in a trembling voice. I stretched out my arms at him, but he didn't take them.

Instead, he sat on Darren's bed with a lowered head.

"I'm sorry, Louisa. This is all my fault. I shouldn't have started the fight with Darren. It almost got you killed," he whispered.

"Leo, it's not your fault." I held him in my arms and said.

"Will's right. Werewolves are dangerous. Sometimes, I can't control myself. The more power I have, the more violent I get," Leo said in a muffled voice. "I was so angry to find out you're Alpha's mate. I was angry at myself, so I had to let it out."

"Why? Why were you angry like this?" I asked.

"I don't have many friends, Louisa. I had a lot of nannies when I was little and they all mysteriously disappeared. Then, I found out that they didn't disappear. Lucas killed them. I don't want Lucas to kill you, Louisa. I..." He stopped speaking and looked at me with a hopeless look on his face.

"I know, Leo, I understand. I really do." I whispered and stroked his face.

Leo bit his lips and clenched his jaw.

"I know where they took Darren. It's his uncle who took Darren away and he runs a slave market in Ivory City. I can't let you go out of the tent, but maybe you can send some people to look for him," he said.

"We can go, miss," Mana said.

"We know the way to Ivory City," Mata said.

"I can go as well," Snow said next to my ear. "All my family will help you to look for him."

I frowned and said, "It's too dangerous, guys. I can't let you take the risk."

"People won't notice us," Snow said. "We can get around easily."

"We'll be very careful, miss," Mana said.

"No one will see us," Mata said.

As I was thinking, I heard a voice coming from outside.

"Zowie guacamole! Are you guys having a meeting in the tent this early in the morning?"

Colt walked into the tent, rubbed his eyes, and asked, "Did I miss something?"

"Colt! It's good that you're here! They took away Darren and we need your help to find him," I said.

"What?!" Colt exclaimed. "Please tell me this is a sick full moon's day joke because I'm going to pass out!"

"This isn't a joke and you can't pass out right now!" I stomped my feet and said. "Listen to me! Darren needs your help!"

"OK... OK... But no! Darren! What are they going to do with my Darren?!" Colt used his hands like fans and flapped them around his face. "I can't think when I'm short of air, Louisa. Just tell me what to do!"

"How fast can you build a flying machine?" I asked.

"You mean, a drone?" he asked.

"No! A flying machine. The one that people can sit inside!" I said.

  "Well, weeks..." Colt said.

"You have three hours. When they find Darren in Ivory City, you need to take him away in your flying machine and send him to the Cliff of Fear. Tell Count Vincent Swans that Darren's my friend and he needs help. He will understand," I said.

"Oh, mine! When I woke up in the morning, I didn't expect today to be so eventful... I need to go to Alex right now. He has all the tools and hopefully, he will help me," he said.

"Don't let him tell anyone about our plan. This is very important, Colt," I said.

"I trust Alex with my life, Louisa. You don't need to worry about this," Colt said and ran out of the tent.

I turned back and looked at the druids, "And you guys... I need to make some clothes for you."

I turned to Leo and said, "Can you let someone bring me some material to make cloaks or something?"

Leo nodded and walked out of the tent immediately to talk to the soldiers.

Will held Snow in his arms and asked me, "Is Snow going to leave us?"

"She's going back to her family, and they might be able to help us to find Darren," I said.

Will put Snow next to his cheek and said, "Please take care, Snow. If you see some bad people, just run away. Can you do that for me?"

Snow nodded her head and licked his cheek. Then, she jumped out of the tent in a white flash and disappeared.

"Is she going to be alright?" Will asked.

"Yes, Will. She's a tough little girl and she'll be fine," I said.

The soldiers brought some woolen cloth as well as a sewing kit. I quickly measured Mana's body and started to cut off the cloth.

"Miss, are you going to measure me?" Mata jumped in front of me and stretched out his arms.

"You have the same measurement as your brother," I said.

"Really? I have a smaller head and stronger arms," Mata said.

Mana knocked Mata's head and said, "You're wasting her precious time. Stop being an idiot!"

I gently stroked Mata's head and quickly did his measurement.

He did have a smaller head and strong arms.

I quickly cut off some cloth and made a cloak with a hoodie. Mana and Mata looked at me without blinking their eyes.

"No one has ever made clothes for us, Miss."

"We were always covered by rugs."

"I will make a lot of clothes for you and I'll ask Colt to make you two closets in the future," I said, quickly sewing the hem of the cloak.

"Wow! A closet!" Mana said. His giant round eyes were full of sparks.

"Full of our own clothes!" Mata looked overwhelmed with happiness.

"Listen, boys," I said. "This is going to be a very dangerous trip. If you see something or someone that you don't like, just hypnotize them and quickly run away. Do not try to steal anything from people. Stay away from troubles. Can you do that?"

  "Yes, miss."

  "We'll look after each other."

I put Colt's lighter and comb knife in their hands.

"Take these with you. When bad people want to hurt you, just stab them or burn them," I said.

Mata took the lighter and pushed a button. A small red flash popped up from it.

He waved it and looked at it very curiously.

"Keep pushing until you find the fire," I said.

Mata nodded and put it in his pocket.

"And these..." I took out Uma's pearls from the inside of my baggage. "These are very precious pearls. You can bribe people with them when you're in trouble. Keep them safely in..."

I didn't finish my sentences when Mata stuck out his tongue and wrapped them into his mouth.

Mana knocked at Mata's head, "Spite them out!"

"Ouch. Don't hit me!" Mata rubbed his head and said, "The safest place is in my stomach! I'll spite them out when we need them."
