Louisa Unchained

Chapter 229

Ch. 229 / 262 Apr 29, 2026

  Louisa's POV

I heard waves of howls from outside.

Will ran towards me in a panic, with a gray wolf chasing him behind.

Zackery lifted a baton from the fireplace and struck him at its nose, the wolf whimpered and ran away.

Will changed into a little bat and swiftly hid in my hair.

"Don't be afraid, Will. I'm here," I whispered.

Zackery looked at me and said, "I have to take you out of this place, little girl. It's too dangerous to stay here. These soldiers must have been influenced by something. They are out of control. They shouldn't attack each other at Full Moon's night."

"I can't move, Zackery," I looked at him and said.

  "I'll take you," he said.

Then, he blew a whistle. Within a few minutes, his giant white horse Blanco showed up in front of the tent.

"Come here, let's go!" Zackery pulled me up from the tent and held me in his arms.

  Will crawled inside my pocket.

"Come on, the wolves are coming!" Blanco dug the dirt on the ground and neighed impatiently.

Zackery jumped on top of Blanco and before he could take up the rein, Blanco had already dashed into the night like a meteorite.

  "Be careful! Blanco!" I shouted.

"Don't worry, those wolves are too slow. They can't catch me!" Blanco squealed with excitement.

Blanco zoomed in the wind like an arrow of light. He leaped over fences, barriers, wolves, and tree trunks. The wind was blowing strongly into my face and everything flashed past us so quickly. Eventually, the howling sound faded away and I found ourselves at the side of a lake.

A wooden cabin was built next to the lake.

I could see some light leaking from the gaps in its door.

I saw a dark horse wandering about around the cabin. I recognized that it was Lucas' horse.

"Oh, Torrent. Not again," Blanco snorted. "He's got only half an inch of wisdom and loads of ego all the way up to his fat ass."

"Hey, skinny. Glad to meet ya. You look so tired. Have you been resting well these days?" Torrent greeted Blanco, nodding his head.

Zackery jumped off the horse and walked towards the door, holding me in his arms.

Then, he kicked the door open and walked inside.

I heard a woman screaming from inside the house, and then I noticed a man lying on a carpet like a puddle of mud.

Several empty bottles of wine were spread everywhere around his body.

There was wine and vomit everywhere and it was a mess.

In the dim light from the fireplace, I recognized the person lying on the ground was Lucas.

Then, a woman dressed up in a white nightgown showed up in the room.

She looked like a floating ghost with her long red hair draping on the sides of her body.

  It was Akela.

"Oh, mine! Zackery?! You've almost scared me to death! What are you doing here?! Why are you holding that servant girl in your arms?!" She shot out a series of questions, but all of them were ignored by Zackery.

"Stop talking, Akela. Pick up all the bottles from the floor. Get a mop and a bucket of water, woman, and mop the floor," Zackery said.

Akela stood there, looking at me curiously, without moving.

"I'm talking to you, Akela!" Zackery raised his voice.

Akela jumped up a bit and quickly ran away.

"OK, OK! I'll get it!" she said. "I thought you were asking the servant girl to do it..."

Then, I heard a string of bangs and clangs from inside the room, and then Akela ran out, wearing a bucket on her foot and a mop in her hands.

She tripped over the bucket and fell to the floor.

"This is too hard! Zack! I've never done anything like this before!" Akela sat on the floor and cried.

"Akela, I need you to stop crying. There are big bad wolves outside and if they hear your crying, they'll follow your voice and find you. You don't want to be bitten by wolves, do you?"

Akela immediately covered her mouth and said in a muffled voice, "No, Zack."

"Good, so shut up and start to work. Put the bottles in the bucket and used the mop to clean the dirt on the floor. Come on, girl. You can do it," Zackery said.

Akela nodded and started to pick up the bottles. She accidentally stepped on Lucas' arms and he immediately woke up.

"Ouch, fuck! What the fuck are you doing woman?!" Lucas roared.

Akela panicked and stuck the mop into his mouth and said, "Shhhh. There are big bad wolves outside. You can't make any noise, or else they'll come and get you!"

Lucas was confused for a while before he realized that there was a mop in his mouth.

He struggled to roll to the side, kneeled on the floor, and started to retch.

Looking at Lucas's suffering, Zackery couldn't help but laugh.

Akela looked very puzzled and asked, "Did I do something wrong?"

Zackery couldn't catch his breath and said, "No, Akela. You've done a good job. You can clean the floor now. But be careful, don't stick the mop into Lucas' ass."

Lucas immediately jumped up, wiped his mouth, and said, "Fuck! This isn't funny!"

He looked much more conscious when he got the alcohol out of his system.

"Your Excellency, fuck, I mean, oh fuck. What are you doing here?" He asked while spitting the dirt from his mouth. "Why are you holding my woman in your arms?"

Zackery put me on a sofa and said, "I'm here because your camp has turned into a hunting ground. Apparently, your soldiers shifted into wolves at Fullmoon's Night and they lost their minds. They started to celebrate by attacking each other. And for the record, I wasn't holding your woman. I'm holding my sister."

"Very good, Your Excellency," Lucas said. "The world is at its last leg and I'm fucking wasted."

Then, he curled up and started to throw up again.

"Hey! I've just cleaned that area! Stop making a mess on the floor, Lucas!" Akela poked Lucas with the mop and protested.

"Oh, fuck. These fucking women are driving me crazy. Could you please excuse me for a moment, I'll go fuck myself first and I'll be back in a minute," Lucas said and stumbled out of the cabin.
