Louisa Unchained

Chapter 215

Ch. 215 / 262 Apr 29, 2026

When I woke up in the morning, Lucas had already left.

I put on a gown, rubbed my eyes, and stretched, looking around.

Mana and Mata walked into the tent with a tray of breakfast and a kettle in their hands.

  "Good morning, miss."

"We have prepared some breakfast for you."

They put the tray and kettle on the desk and stood in front of my bed.

I saw the rapture wounds on their hands and recalled that they were injured while pulling me up yesterday.

I immediately jumped out of bed and picked up my potion box.

"Miss, are you looking for something?"

"We can do it for you."

I picked up the yarrow bottle and sat on the carpet with crossed legs.

"Come here," I waved at them, "I'll put some herbal powder on your wounds, so they heal faster."

Mana and Mata looked at each other and put their hands behind their backs.

  "Miss, we're fine."

  "We don't feel a thing."

"Come here. Don't worry. It doesn't hurt," I said.

They moved forward and stretched out their hands towards me.

I put a dash of yarrow powder on their wounds and they immediately jumped up and down like crazy.

  "Ahh! It hurts so badly!"

  "Ahh! Women are liars!"

"What do you know about women, dickhead!"

"I know everything better than you do!"

I held them in my arms, stroked their backs, and said, "I'm sorry, I have to do this. The yarrow powder will stop the bleeding and inflammation."

"Sorry for jumping up and down."

"Sorry for calling you a liar, miss."

"You don't have to apologize, and you don't have to cook breakfast for me. I enjoy cooking and I'll do it myself," I said, picking up a toast and putting it into my mouth.

It was crispy outside and tender inside.

I put a scoop of the omelette in my mouth and it was so delicious.

"This is so good! You're very good at cooking!" I said.

Mana and Mata looked very pleased.

"Come and sit next to me. Let's eat together!" I said.

  "We can't eat this, miss."

  "We've already had breakfast."

  "We've got carrots and beans."

  "And some eggplants."

"So you can come and sit with me," I said and put another slice of bread in my mouth.

Mana and Mata sat on the carpet next to me.

Mata burped and Mana slapped him on the head.

  "Ouch!" Mata covered his head.

"Stop doing that to your brother. It hurts," I said.

"Sorry, miss," Mana apologized again, rubbing Mata's head. "It's just he's always doing annoying things like this. We were sleeping outside of the stable last night and he kept snorting."

"Why would you sleep outside the stable?" I asked.

"Lucas was with you in the tent so we couldn't get inside."

"So we had to look for someplace to sleep."

"There are some haystacks outside the stable. So we slept there."

"It's where the warlock has been locked up. So we can keep an eye on him as well."

"Darren? He's been locked up in the stable? I need to see him."

Mana and Mata pulled my arms and stopped me.

  "No, miss. He's gone."

"A man without legs took him away in a carriage."

  "They left early this morning."

"What?!" I was shocked. "Where did they go?"

Mana and Mata looked at each other and said, "We really don't know, miss. They didn't say anything and took him away."

No. That can't be it. I thought to myself.

"I need to find him. That man must be his uncle. He took him away to the slave market!" I said.

"We can trace the rut and look for him, miss."

"We don't want him to get hurt, either. He's very kind to us."

  "He's one of us."

"But it's too dangerous for you to go out by yourself. I'll go with you. Let's go now!" I stood up and tried to walk out of the tent, but I was stopped by Mick and Lynel, my personal guards.

"Sorry, Miss Louisa. You can't get out of your tent without Beta Lucian's permission," Mick said.

"What do you mean? Darren's taken away and they're going to hurt him! I need to go and save him!" I said.

"Sorry, Miss. It's Beta Lucian's order. We can't let you out," Lynel said.

"I'm not a prisoner! I go wherever I want to go!" I said and tried to push them away.

At that time, Lucian showed up with Leo and Will walking behind him.

Snow was sitting on Will's head. But when she saw me, she immediately jumped off him and bounced on my shoulder.

"I miss you so much!" Snow said, rubbing her face against my cheek.

I patted Snow and said anxiously to Lucian, "They took Darren away! And I have to go and look for him!"

"You can't go anywhere, Miss Louisa. Today is the full moon. Alpha is going to take you and Lady Akela to the lake house."

"I'm not going to any lake houses! My friend is taken away and people are going to kill him! I can't just stay here. I have to do something to save him!" I said.

"I'm sorry, Miss Louisa, but we can't let you leave this tent," Lucian said.

  "But Darren..."

Lucian interrupted me and said, "Darren is in the past. He is no longer with us."

"No! You can't do this to him! You can't kill him! He just wanted to protect me!" I raised my voice and tried to run out of the tent.

Lucian grabbed my arms and dragged me into the tent.

"Leave her alone!" Will shouted and tried to pull Lucian away from me.

I was so afraid that he would bite him, so I held Will tightly in my arms and covered his head.

"You stay in this tent and wait for Alpha to pick you up, do you understand?" Lucian asked.

His voice had never been this cold to me.

I looked at him and picked up a flash of vicious look in his eyes.

I bit my lips and said, "OK. I'll stay here. Now get out of my tent! I don't want to see you anymore!"

Lucian didn't say anything and walked out of the tent.

"Stay here with her, Leo. Do not let her go anywhere, or you'll be punished again." I heard his voice.

"Yes, brother," Leo's voice sounded intimidated.
