WEDDING OF THE YEAR

Ch. 310 / 312 Apr 03, 2026

She nodded and smiled back at them before heading out of the room. As she waited to be walked down the aisle, a guard approached wearing dark sunglasses. He looked very young too. "A guard?" Angela asked Doris. "He's Antonio's most trusted person to walk you down the aisle. Let him take you," Doris whispered reassuringly. *How come I haven't seen him before, maybe the shades* Angela thought. Reluctantly, and with a deep breath, she finally agreed, allowing the guard to step in and take her father's place. As Angela made her way outside, the female guests were already waiting with anticipation to see the wedding gown. When she finally appeared, gasps filled the air. Eyes widened, and phones came out immediately. "She's stunning!" One woman whispered, as several others frantically snapped pictures of her gown, each trying to capture every detail of the intricate design. Many women exchanged envious glances, their smiles genuine but tinged with the smallest hint of jealousy. "I need to know who designed her dress," another woman murmured to her friend, her eyes still glued to Angela. "Well, the Montero's have their own designers, stop dreaming, baby girl. You know, not everyone will be lucky to marry into riches and wealth. She is just a small towner and look at her now...so jealous," her friend replied. Montero's servants lined up in a bow as she walked down the aisle like a real-life princess. The butterflies were released and everyone marveled in admiration. They were already halfway down the aisle, but Angela's gown was still endless from the starting point. Angela's eyes were on Antonio's tall figure, his back facing her. Her heart raced with excitement; she couldn't wait to see his reaction to her when he turns, but soon she notices something off. The guard's hands began to shake uncontrollably around her arms. She felt the trembling and, even more unsettling, heard soft sobs coming from behind the dark sunglasses. Her brows furrowed with concern, and she whispered to him, "Are you okay?" He nodded, his grip still trembling. She took a deep breath, trying not to create a scene, though it worried her why he was emotional. She would talk about that later. As the two continued walking toward the altar, she saw Hinata smiling and clapping softly at her side stood Antonio's Mexican parents. When they reached the altar, she tapped Antonio on his back. He turned, and his reaction made many gush out. His jaw dropped, and Angela had to help it back up. He swallowed tightly then whispered softly, "You look perfect. Lucky me." Angela blushed. The priest cleared his throat, and they turned to the priest about to exchange wedding vows. As the ceremony reached its most intimate moment, the sun glowed warmly over the Montero Island, casting a soft golden hue over the couple. Angela and Antonio stood facing each other at the altar. Instantly the murmurs of the guests quieted, everyone in anticipation. Antonio was the first to speak. He took Angela's hands in his, his thumb gently tracing over her fingers, grounding her. "Angela," he began, his ocean eyes suddenly glistening wet, "from the moment I met you, my world changed. You brought light into my darkest days, and even when I was lost, it was the thought of you that guided me back. My heart has always known that you were the one. I promise to love you with all that I am, to stand by your side through every storm and every sunny day, and to never take for granted the gift that you are in my life. You've been my strength, my joy, and today, I vow to be that for you. From this moment, and for the rest of our lives, I am yours." As Antonio finished, his lips were still shaking with emotions. Angela fought back her tears, shakily she began her own vow. "Antonio, my one and only love. When I first met you, I never imagined our journey would bring us here. We've been through so much...hate, love, joy, pain, separation, and now, reunion. I promise to love you fiercely, to be your partner, your friend, and your safe place, your emotional support. I vow to trust you, to laugh with you, to grow old with you, and to build a life full of love, adventure, and family. You are my home, and I choose you today and every day after." Antonio's grip on her hands tightened as tears filled his eyes, unable to hold back his emotions any longer. The guests went... "Aww!" Angela blinked, letting her own tears fall freely, but she smiled through them. The priest, who had been watching their exchange with a smile, stepped forward. "By the power vested in me, and with the love that has brought you here today, I now pronounce you husband and wife. Antonio, you may kiss your bride." Antonio leaned in, gently cradling Angela's face in his hands. The fireworks began at the other side of the beach, reflecting in the water as soon as their lips met in a soft, tender kiss, sealing their vows and their love, while the crowd erupted in cheers and applause. They didn't want to let go. The world seemed to stop at that moment, the two of them lost in their own world. As they pulled away, breathless and smiling, Angela whispered, "I love you." Antonio grinned, brushing a stray tear from her cheek, "And I love you, more than anything." "Mummy! Daddy!" Antonio Junior shouted as Kerry released him. He ran towards his parents with his small legs pumping as fast as they could, reached them first, throwing his arms around their knees. Antonio carried him planting kisses on his face leaving him giggling and Angela kissed him too. They bonded on the first day and became fond of each other. The twins rushed up to Angela, wrapping her in a tight hug. "Mom! You were so beautiful!" Lia exclaimed. "Yes mom, you look like a real princess," her twin added. Angela blushed at their innocent compliments.
