She's Legally Mine Now
Martha felt her heart struggling to fall off her mouth, she almost stood but struggled to remain reserved.
Broderick walked quietly towards her with an expression that was unreadable, Martha's heart kept throbbing that her head immediately began to ache.
She immediately smiled and said," erm...you escaped them, huh?"
Broderick smirked and brought out a gun from his pocket then stretched it towards her, she stood at once in fear, "Broderick, please don't kill me."
"I heard all you said on phone," he said, still pointing the gun at her. "You want to inject me with a 'permanent memory loss' injection, right? So you truly made me loose my memory?" Broderick asked.
Martha's mouth shivered as if she was in cold, she felt her world collapsing and her heart clenched at the thought of the fact that she would be giving up the ghost today.
She fell to her knees and pleaded," please! Please don't kill me. I beg of you."
"Did you know how painful it is to loose all of one's memory." Broderick swallowed painfully," speak the truth now, are the kids really for Amy?"
"Broderick, if I tell the truth, you won't kill me, right?" Martha asked, her heart throbbing heavily.
"You are not in a position to negotiate, answer my question or I shoot," Broderick cocked the gun and the fear in her heart made her blood stopped flowing.
"Yes, yes! Yes.... yes," she answered.
"Yes, what?"
"The children are for Amy," she answered while hoping earnestly that Broderick will tamper justice with mercy.
Broderick felt like dying, the revelation broke him that the gun he was holding fell from his hand. So Amy didn't steal the kids when she went with them to EastHill. No wonder she was hellbent on helping the kids recover their memory.
So he had been punishing an innocent Amy thinking that the kids weren't for her?
"You deceived me?" He mumbled painfully. He shouted angrily all of a sudden," you fucking deceived me. I! Broderick Alessandro."
He felt very guilty for how he had treated Amy then he bent and picked up the gun again," did you make me loose my memory too?"
"Yes," Martha cried. She better let out the truth maybe that can save her.
Death isn't a punishment as far as Broderick is concerned. Death to him is a way of escaping this sad world. Punishment to him is experiencing hell right here on earth.
Broderick walked over to her but Martha quickly stood and ran out, she twisted the knob and sped outside.
Broderick sped after her and commanded his guards," bring that woman here."
Martha was captured immediately and was taken to Broderick.
"Please, don't hurt me. I did that out of ignorance," Martha pleaded, crying earnestly.
"And you are the one who told Nolan to also arrest me?" Broderick laughed. He felt used and fooled. A woman fooled him, him who is the most powerful man in the city.
"Touching this woman is a sin to me from today henceforth," he declared and then commanded," take this woman to A Island and tie her to the tallest mountain there. Let her experience the pain of the scorching sun for seven days and seven nights, then I will think of what next to do to her."
At his command, the guards carried Martha at once and took her to A Island. A Island was like an hour and forty five minutes to Broderick's house. The sun was excessive there and plants barely grow there cause of that. It's more like a deserted area cause it isn't productive at all. Only an old man and his family lives there, there wasn't any other person in NorthHill who lives there.
Living there is like living in hell cause it's too hot. The hottest place would be the top of the tallest mountain on the Island. The mountain was so tall and hence, closer to the sun. This was where Martha was taken too.
She was tied heavily in the hands and the legs but was also tied in the head, in the neck and in the back, she looked like a baby inside her mother's womb by the time they were done tieing her.
Even if she isn't under the sun, being tied in that manner where your back is made to bent and your head is made to bend into your knees is enough punishment talkless of the fact that she was placed on top of the hot mountain.
Even some of the guards felt pathetic for Martha cause this would be one of the worst punishment that anyone can ever experience on earth. What's worse, she would be here for seven days and seven nights.
If anyone spends one hour on this hot mountain, they would start to thirst heavily but this woman would be here for seven days. The guards immediately evacuated the place. It takes a man as ruthless as Broderick to punish someone in that manner.
The guards gossiped as they drive home saying that Martha should have know not to offend Broderick, others held the opinion that it was even better not to get close to a devil like Broderick Alessandro.
To confirm what the guards had done, Broderick dressed and drove over to A Island, he walked up to the mountain and saw Martha tied merciless. Even a disobedient goat can not be tied in this way but he did not feel merciful to her at all. Whoever is coming against a man like Broderick Alessandro should be prepared for it's consequences.
He stepped down from the mountain and he immediately got inside his car.
"Amy, I have sinned against you. I will make it for you with my life now," Broderick drove speedily over to the house that he kept Amy.
As soon as he parked, he walked towards the house but sighted a paper on the door.
Before touching the paper, he turned and called on one of the guards, once he got before Broderick, he asked him," who placed this paper here?"
"I think it should be Mrs. Amy. The president's soldiers came and escort her away an hour ago,"the guard answered and quickly added," we tried to reach you but we couldn't."
Broderick finally understood why the soldiers suddenly let him go. While the soldiers that arrested him were driving him away, one of them received a call and he was immediately dropped off.
Could it because of Amy? He really couldn't understand it. Nonetheless, Broderick dismissed the guard and then picked up the paper.
He opened it and it reads,
"Dear Broderick Alessandro,
If you are reading this first, please check on the second paper..."
Broderick paused the letter he was reading and brought out the second paper that was behind it, it was a DNA test result proving that Amy was the mother of the kids.
He had already find that out...
He continued with the letter he had paused;
"As you would have seen, that is a prove that the kids are mine. Either you beleive it or not is not my concern. I literally saved you a while ago from soldiers who wanted to arrest you yet when you woke up, you chased me away like a dog, all because of Martha."
The second paragraph reads," I hope you find out one day that Martha is just a cunny bitch who is fooling you. He made you and the kids loose their memory, I know you won't believe this but then again, it's not my business."
The third paragraph reads, "In order to have a safe life, I have decided to appreciate for once in my life the man that truly loved me and is ready to accept my kids. As you can already guess, it's Nolan."
Then the last paragraph reads," my kids and I had now gone to the president's house and before this week runs out, I'll be declared as the president's wife and as the first lady of the country. Don't dare to come after my children, it's a warning. Stay with your 'Martha' and let her have babies for you.
Never Meant to be Yours,
Amy Owen.
Broderick felt his world collapsing after reading the letter, he broke the door open and went to sit on the couch in the living room.
He was at fault. He truly was. He was gullible and acted so slow. He rubbed his palms together as he felt sharp pains in his heart. His eyes became red immediately and sadness overwhelmed him.
He sighed and stood, he wanted to escape his heart that was hurting but he couldn't. He went to the bathroom and stood under it, he didn't even remove his clothes, he actually was going crazy at the moment so it's normal for him to be abnormal.
After seeing that being under the water didn't help, he walked out, water dripping from his body and wetting the floor but he didn't care. He walked aimlessly around the house then brought out his phone and called Amy.
Drop!
Drop!
Drop!
The call wasn't even going through at all, it was just dropping. It was obvious that Amy had blocked his line.
He then placed a call across to his old friend, Wilbur. Wilbur had been out of the city since they both graduated from the university Wilbur was his roommate in the university days and eventhough they studied different courses, they get along so well and were so close but distance had separated their friendship. But just two days ago, Broderick heard that Wilbur had come back to NorthHill.
Once Wilbur answered, he welcomed him and asked if he could come over to where he was, Wilbur responded by saying he wasn't really busy at the moment. Broderick then described where he was to him and hung the call up.
Broderick went to change into white shirt and black khaki trouser then walked back to sit at the living room. He was trying not to think about Amy's departure but it was impossible. He even turned on the television but he would have barely watched it for ten seconds when his mind would trail back to Amy again.
While struggling with his mind, a knock could be heard on the door.
"Come in," Broderick said and Wilbur came in. he then gestured for him sit and he sat.
He welcomed him once again then dived into his main reason for inviting him over here. He needed someone to talk to about what was currently happening to him. All these while, he had been devoid of friends. It had always been him alone in his lonely world.
But now, it seems he needed someone to talk to.
Wilbur listened to him keenly and sighed, "And here I was thinking your life has been a bed of roses over here at NorthHill."
"As the richest man in the city, it should be but it's the opposite. I have money but I even have more problems," Broderick said.
"Well, caution is needed here. We firstly need to confirm if Amy really left here on her own will or if she was forced. We can't really tell what Nolan could be up to."
"True." Broderick said. "But how do we find that out?"
"Since you said she has blocked you, how about I call her?"
"Sure," Broderick called out Amy's number and Wilbur called but the line was not going through still.
"The line is not going through still, is it possible that her phone would be dead?" Wilbur asked.
"That's not possible, you and I know that electricity over here at NorthHill is 24/. I'm even more worried now," Broderick said.
"Hold on," Wilbur sent Amy's number to someone that works at the telecommunication company to find out if her line is still active.
The telecommunication worker replied Wilbur few minutes later that the line has been banned according to the directive of the user.
When Wilber told this to Broderick, he said," why would Amy order her line to be blocked? Does she not have important people calling her? She could have just blocked me if she doesn't want to talk to me but blocking her line seems suspicious."
"To start a new life, she needs to ban the old lone so all the people in her past can dissapear from her life. She needs new and real people who can make her happy now." Nolan appeared and said," from today, dear Broderick, you will never set your eyes on the mother of your children again. You know why? She is now legally mine."
