He Caught Them Kissing

Amy was stunned with what Broderick said, she repeated," are you serious?"

"Yes. I'm sorry once again about the loss of your mother," Broderick said and walked out.

Amy remained in the room for a couple of seconds after which she eventually walked out of the room. When she got to the living room, she couldn't find the dead body of her father there anymore so she asked Irvin," where is dad?"

"I've asked for him to be taken away," Irvin said and stood from where he sat, he walked towards Amy and cruved his arms around her shoulder," we may have lost dad but I promise to act as a father to you from now henceforth. I'm so sorry we had to experience this," Irvin said.

"It's hard on the both of us, eventhough you are trying to comfort me, I know it's tough on you too," Amy said and rested her head on him.

After a couple of seconds, the brother and sister walked out of the Owen's mansion.

"What do we do regarding the mansion?" Amy asked cause there was no way she would come and live here. Perhaps, Irvin has a plan of living here.

"Dad wrote Martha's name in his will as the heir of all his properties," Irvin said.

"Tell me this is not true," Amy was shocked as she paused and turned fully to him.

"I'm very serious. I think Edith killed father before he could think of changing the will," Irvin said.

Now Amy understood what Martha meant when she said that Edith never loved Carlton and that Edith was only interested in his wealth and power.

"But we are the Mayor's rightful children, is there is no way we can claim back this mansion?" Amy asked. She doesn't want to believe that they wouldn't even get to inherit anything that belongs to their father.

"We are supposed to but according to the law, Martha would be getting everything. Let them have it for now while we strategize on how to defeat them," Irvin said.

Amy felt so bad about the fact that Martha will be inheriting all the hard works of the Owen's family.

"Broderick will divorce Martha, he had promised me he will. That way, we will able to deal with both Martha and her mother," Amy said.

"That's a good news. For now, I need you to focus on yourself and your kids. Didn't you say your kids now live with you? I hope you will be able to help them recover their memory, that way, you can win the kids back forever," Irvin said.

"I'm working hard," Amy said and then got lead by her brother to her car. Once Amy sat in the driver's seat, she looked at her brother through the window of the car and said," Irvin, these people killed our mother and our father, you need to be very careful."

Irvin who was standing by the door nodded and said," I will be careful. Be very careful too. Once you confirmed that Broderick had divorced Martha, inform me so I can get to work."

"Alright," Amy said, pulled up the window of the car and drove away.

Irvin turned and looked at the quiet and empty mansion with a sour heart, "I wish you didn't leave us soon, father." He got inside his car a couple of seconds later and drove away.

Amy arrived home at 3PM, everywhere was quiet as expected. The children used to be back from school around 5PM.

She slumped to her chair and the only thing her heart panted for was revenge, she want to destroy Martha and her mother for the pain they had caused her since she was was a child.

While in deep sorrow, she heard some steps walked in, she curiously looked towards the door and saw Nolan.

"What!" She screamed and stood," Nolan, what are you doing here? How did you even get in?" She quickly walked towards him. It would be too risky for Broderick to find him here.

"I heard about the death of the mayor, I'm so sorry," he sympathized and wanted to sit but Amy stopped him with a loud voice," no please! You can't sit. You need to leave."

"Ouch!" Nolan exclaimed as if he was pained by her outburst.

"Broderick must not find you here, please. I don't even know how the security men allowed you in but please, you need to leave and don't come here again," Amy said.

"Why are you being so harsh?" Nolan face became very stern, "I was the one who helped your father discover the truth about your identity, is this how to be grateful? Did you hate me that much that you don't even want to see me?"

"Common! Nolan. Why would I hate you? Infact, I like you and you are a good man. And I'm not trying to be ungrateful but Broderick must not find you here, you know that?"

"Are you concerned about my safety or your own safety?" He asked.

"Yours. Broderick will make this place bloody if he comes and finds you here. He might even kill you and I don't think he will take it lightly with me too cause he might think I invited you over," Amy said.

Nolan smirked," you seem to see me as an ordinary citizen. Amy, did you realize that I'm the president of the country? Not just a civil president, I rule with power, I'm the major general of the country and whatever I say becomes a decree, if I want Broderick dead now, he would be dead."

Amy sighed, she didn't know how to tell him to leave anymore.

"Amy, I'm only desperate to see you cause I love you. I can do anything for you, you can already tell," Nolan said as he walked towards her. "I love you." He eventually stood before her, very close to her that Amy could perceive his alluring scent.

He moved his head closer to her and when their lips were inches apart, he said, "You shouldn't subject yourself to a man's punishment all because you love him. I have your back now and you should live freely."

Nolan added," you can be the first lady of the country if only you agree to be with me. If you can stop loving Callan, who is Broderick that you think you can't stop loving?"

"He's not just a man I love, he's also the father of my children. If I agree to live with you, how about my kids? Give me time to help my kids recover their memory, when Broderick confirms that the kids are eventually mine, I can make an independent decision at that time."

Nolan also reasoned with her, he thought that she was subjecting herself to Broderick's punishment because she loved Broderick but after hearing her speak, it seems she was doing this for the sake of her children.

"Alright, if by one month, the kids did not recover their memory, I will have to send for that old physician in my country to come and administer treatment to them." He said. "Eventhough it's risky, we'll hope it will work in our favor."

Amy nodded and sighed, when she was about to adjust back, Nolan grabbed her waist, stopping her from moving back and asked," do I disgust you?"

"Of course not," Amy said. She had wanted to adjust back cause they were too close and her heart was thumping abnormally because of it.

"Prove it?"

"How?" Just as Amy finished saying this word, he swallowed her lips into his.

At this same moment, the door opened and Broderick walked in.
