Awakening the Alpha's Daughter

Chapter 131

Ch. 131 / 148 Apr 01, 2026

Harmony

I go back to my Aunt and Uncle’s house with Ella. Aunt Abriya, Amarey, Mom, and Dad are all here now. There’s still no sign of Davonyé, though.

They all look at us as we appear at the island. “Uncle Clarence filled us in,” Mom says. “How did it go?”

I sit at the island with Ella. “It was emotional. His sister and grandma were in tears.”

“I bet. Bless them. How wonderful for Jaheim, though.”

Everyone agrees.

“I know. I'm so damn happy for him. He's spent so much time feeling alone, so for him to have family, blood family, it’s everything.”

Ella reassured me that he'd be fine with me leaving him, but I don't feel no way. They've waited all these years for him; I want him to have this special time with them alone.

‘They’re amazing people, Har. You'll love them.’

I have no doubt.

I sigh, feeling a sudden serenity come over me. I’m hoping this will bring closure to Jaheim. He’s slowly changing his opinion of this side of him, so I hope this will help with the progress he’s made. If it does, the next thing on my list is to see him changed.

Lawd… My heart flutters just thinking about him as a ware.

‘You are a freak, Har.’

I turn to look at Ella beside me. ‘So? I bet you are, too. You lucky bitch.’

She rolls her eyes. ‘Can we not talk about this?’

‘Why not? You brought it up.’

“Ugh…”

‘Do you know if any materials exist that can restrain wares?’

Her eyes almost pop out of her head. ‘Har, please. Not now, okay?’

‘Fine. Soon, though.’

She hides a smile. ‘I know.’

Aunt Abriya comes to hand me Amarey so I can have cuddles. I swear, he is the most handsome baby boy I have ever seen.

“You’re looking so much better, Sweetheart. We’re so happy to see you back to yourself,” Aunt Abriya says.

“Thanks. It feels good to feel alive again.”

“Mates will do that.” She winks before leaving me to admire her beautiful son.

I wonder if Jaheim will eventually want kids…

“To think, soon, you'll have a brother or sister of your own to give cuddles to,” Mom says, pulling up a stool beside me.

I snap my head to her. “Are you...?”

She smiles. “Yeah.”

“Oh, my God! When did you find out?”

“Late this morning when I woke up to your Dad holding a glass of milk out to me. We wanted to tell you first, but when Uncle Clarence called to tell us what happened, we rushed to get here. I wanted to be here in case you needed me.”

“She smells sweet as hell,” Dad comments over the other side of the island.

I smile as I hold back tears, but I know Mom can see them. “Mom… Don’t worry about that.”

She gets up to hug me around my shoulders. “Are you happy, Sweetheart?”

“She’s more than happy,” Ella says behind me.

I shake my head before leaning into my Mom’s embrace. “I’m so happy.”

“Good.”

She kisses my head before releasing me to sit back down. I look over to Dad. “Well done, Dad.”

Everyone laughs.

“Thanks, Baby Girl.”

Amarey soon stirs for a feed, so once Aunt Abriya takes him from me, I get up to hug dad, then I help Ella and Uncle Clarence cook.

I'm gonna be a big sister...

Finally.

I ask for a word with Ariella a few hours later, and she takes me to her place. We sit on the couch in the living room with a glass of Prosecco each that she magicked into my hand.

“Where’s Davonyé?”

“At work. He’s been doing overtime.”

“Oh, I thought you were hiding him away from Jaheim.”

“Nah. I mean, it’s gonna be awkward the first time they see each other, but I hope everything will be okay.”

My stomach knots. “They ain’t gonna fight, are they?”

“No, I don’t think so.” Her eyes swirl black before settling. “I hope not, anyway. I think what Aura said made a difference. Now it’s just up to Jaheim to decide how he’s gonna deal with the situation.”

“Yeah, well, I hope they don’t.” Jaheim hasn’t had Abriya’s blood, so I don’t want him fighting Davonyé, or any other ware for that matter.

“Don’t worry about that shit now. What did you wanna talk to me about?” She's smiling, so I already know that she knows.

“You gonna make me ask?”

She laughs. “No, I won't. It will be soon.”

“That’s what Jaheim keeps saying, but how soon?”

“Within the next week.”

My stomach flutters. “Okay...” Oh, God... As excited as I am to feel that dick inside me, I'm also nervous about how amazing it’s gonna be.

“I'll have to interfere the first time, cuz you will die if I don't, but after that, you should be fine.”

“Are you gonna watch?”

She looks horrified. “Girl, no. I’ll do it from afar.” She shudders.

I laugh and almost spill my drink. “Okay, do what you have to do.”

“You'll need my blood afterwards because you’ll be sore, so I'll make sure you have it close.”

I frown. “I always keep it close.”

She just nods.

Okay… “So how are things with you and Davonyé?”

She smiles. “Good. Really good. He's working so hard on his clothing line. He’s really excited about it, and Dad’s been amazing with him, too. They get on really well.”

“Your Dad’s always amazing. We’re so lucky to have the parents we do.”

She gives me a sad smile. “Why did you always act like you didn't care? Why did you always put on such a front, especially with me?”

I can tell she's hurt; I knew she'd bring this up eventually, but I still wasn't ready for it.

“I honestly don't know. I mean, I know I'm a little selfish, and rude, and blunt...” I know she knows why I've acted certain ways in the past now. “You were always so strong, Ella, I guess I just wanted to be like you. I just took it too far sometimes.”

She scoffs. “All the time.” She looks thoughtful. “I know it was hard, dealing with Jaheim’s absence, but it's really good to see you with your walls down, Har. It's a good look on you.”

I roll my eyes. “Don't think dick is gonna make me all soft and shit, cuz it won't.”

She laughs hard. “I never said that.”

“Good. But it does feel good not to be hiding behind so many.”

“I bet it does. It's okay to care, and it's not a weakness to show how you feel either. I learned that not too long ago. Wares are emotional beings, and I know from experience that holding all that shit inside only hurts you in the long run.”

“Yeah... I know that now. Anyway, enough of that deep shit. Are there any more surprises in store for me?”

Her eyes spark with blue. “A few.”

I narrow my eyes at her. “Hmmm... Good ones or bad?”

“Good.”

Excitement rushes through me. “Have you seen the land? I can't believe Jaheim bought it like that.”

She smiles. “I can. Male wares are all the same. They want us to have everything our hearts desire, and they want to be the ones to give it to us. He knows his position in your life because of how he feels about you in his. You have nothing but good things to look forward to with him from now on.”

Jaheim… I hope so. “Thank you, Ella. For everything.”

“You’re my sister, Har. I always got you.”

It gets to around seven, and I ain't gonna lie and say I'm not missing my Boo, especially now Davonyé’s back and everyone’s all loved up around me. I'm trying to be patient, cuz I know they must have so much to catch up on. I just miss him.

It has been nice to spend time with my family, though, especially Amarey. I've watched Ella with her baby brother and they're already so close. There's a real soothing aura that comes from Amarey. I guess it's a new-born baby thing.

I've eaten so much today, too. Jaheim took me shopping yesterday, but at this rate, I’ll be needing to go again soon. I tried to pay, but he just said it’s nice to be able to spend his money on something other than suits, houses, and travelling. He’s got a black Amex, too, and that’s when it hit me just how much money he has.

He must be selling the shit out of those properties…

“He's ready,” Ella says, appearing beside me.

“Good.” I get up from the couch to hug everyone goodbye and to kiss Amarey on the head. I promise my mom and dad I’ll see them soon, too.

They asked about our intentions for the land, but although Jaheim and I have spoken about a few things, we ain’t finalised anything yet.

Ella and I arrive in the corridor outside Mia and Francis’ room, and then Jaheim appears and I’m in his arms, and it feels good as hell.

“I missed you,” he says, not caring that everyone can hear us.

“I missed you, too, Boo.”

‘Awww. How cute,’ Ella says in my mind.

‘I know, right?’

‘And he really did.’

I hug him tighter before he finally lets me go. “Come in. Let me introduce you quickly before we go.”

I’m swiftly introduced to Mia and Francis who bow to Ariella when we enter the room, which in turn makes her blush and ask them not to do it again now that they’re family. They also thank her, more than once, for bringing Jaheim to them.

They’re both beautiful, and don’t look a day over twenty. Francis, or GiGi as she insists on being called, is blunt like me, and I can already tell we’re gonna get on well. Mia, on the other hand, is the sweetest person I think I’ve ever met. She repeatedly gushes about how happy she is that Jaheim and I have found each other, and that it’s the best news she could’ve hoped for.

“Mia and my grandmother are gonna be returning to Alaska now we’re in touch. I said we'd visit them soon?”

I smile at them. “Of course. I'd love to.” Hell, if that’s what Jaheim wants, I’m down for it.

He says his goodbyes and then turns to Ariella. “Sorry to keep you. We’re ready to go now.”

“It’s fine, Jaheim.” She says goodbye to Jaheim’s family and then we leave.
