Jaheim
Nine and a half months later…
Me, Dee, Quis, Von, Abriya, and Clarence, all trek back towards the house, each carrying our moose kills behind us. Abriya and Clarence flew in from England with their sons two days ago, and Mia, GiGi, Addae, Gamba, Junia, and Victorio will be arriving two days from now, for Harmony’s birthday party.
Quis and Asha will be joining them in the UK after Clarence finishes training Harmony – which everyone is looking forward to seeing because Harmony can fight. Really fight.
Abriya’s seven have all moved around now, and Ella and Von have taken their places as Alphas in this continent. Harmony and I will be helping them once Harmony’s changed, and she’s beyond excited about it.
Me? Not so much. Those holds stink.
“So, how you feeling about tonight, Jah?”
I look at Abriya to my left, keeping my eyes on her face because we’re all naked. They took me hunting to chill me out, but the closer we get back to the house, the more I smell the heightening scent of my Princess. “I’m feeling every emotion possible.”
She laughs and her gold eyes light up. “Bless you. I don't envy you. But just think, this time in a few days, you'll be waking up with no restrictions over your mate.”
That makes me smile. “True.” Hell, these past ten months have been incredible, and difficult. But these past two weeks have been the worst.
And best.
Harmony's insatiable, and I'm talking ten times more insatiable than she's ever been. God better help me once she wakes up. She's gonna kill me.
“And we'll definitely wake up at the same time?”
“Yes,” Ella says, appearing out of nowhere like she always does. “I promise.”
I'm having Abriya's blood after Harmony's change. We'll both sleep for two days afterwards. I didn't wanna be without her, and she didn't wanna change without me there, so this is how we’re gonna do it. “Thanks. I dunno why I'm so nervous.”
“Because it's life changing,” Abriya says.
“I'm glad Harmony wasn't there for yours,” Ella says. “Cuz she wouldn't have coped very well. You saw how she was when you broke your arm falling from that tree last month.”
“Yeah.” She was hysterical. She cares so much for me. I love her so fucking much.
Ella smiles. “You two are like the sweetest couple.”
“I agree,” Quis says, and so do the others.
I roll my eyes, but I can't help but smile. Life is better than ever. I'm close to my blood family, and the James’ have taken me in like one of their own. I have a beautiful wife that I can't stand to be away from, and we live in the most perfect house.
“Thanks for everything, all of you. You couldn’t imagine how different my life was before I met you all.”
Abriya and Asha suddenly hug me, stopping me in my tracks. “You are so welcome,” Abriya gushes, before they both release me.
Asha has tears in her eyes. “Quis and I should be thanking you, for the way you make our daughter so happy. You're an amazing guy.”
I think Asha’s the most emotional person I know. “Quis, get your wife before she starts crying.”
Everyone laughs as he comes to pull her away. “She's right, though, Jah. Harmony ain't the same girl she was. You did that.”
We start walking again. “I ain't the same.”
“Admit it,” Ella says. “You love being one of us.”
I smile. “Yeah, I do.” I actually do love being a ware. “I didn’t think I'd ever say that.”
“I bet,” Clarence says.
Von catches me up. “So, when you gonna breed her then, Bruh?”
Quis slaps him upside the head. “Hey, that's still my daughter you're talking about.”
“You better chill, Baby,” Ella warns him. “She's gonna be a fighter. It ain't all about strength. Harmony could kick your ass when she wakes up. Her self-defence skills are next level, and she would kill over Jaheim.”
He smiles as he rubs his head. “I don't doubt it.”
“Well, she don't take after her Mom, does she, Asha?” Clarence comments.
“Hey! I'm much better than I was.”
They all laugh, and after Ella shows me a vision of Asha learning how to defend herself in Abriya and Clarence’s back yard, I laugh, too.
“Asha, really?”
“Hey, I never needed to fight before. I grew up with brothers.”
Clarence shakes his head. “Excuses, excuses.”
These guys are crazy as hell.
The lake on mine and Harmony's land comes into view. “Time to get wet,” Ella says.
There are a chorus of ‘no’s’ that turn into growls as she forces us to shift, and then we're flying through the air and falling into the lake. I hit the water and quickly rise to the surface to see her walking over the water, eyes swirling black while she laughs.
“Nice, Ella.” I roll my eyes.
“Hey! What you doing to my mate?” Harmony shouts from the front of the house. She's got her baby brother and Amarey in her arms, and her other cousins are in Cecile’s.
“Nothing!” Ella shouts. She’s still laughing.
I swim over to the bank to get out with the others. Ella dries and dresses us all, and then Abriya and Asha take their boys so I can hug Harmony.
Her scent is driving me fucking mental. The things it makes me wanna do to her would have her parents rip my heart out, I swear.
“All hunted out?” she asks when she sees the kills Ella places at the foot of the porch.
“Yeah, not that it's made a difference now I'm with you again.”
“Ah, that ‘almost time to change’ scent ain't no joke,” Clarence comments.
“You're right about that.”
“You can make her pay for it when she wakes up,” Dee laughs, which earns him a quick punch to the arm from Asha.
“You don't ever change, do you, you little shit?” Abriya says, shaking her head.
He rubs his arm. “You all love me for it.”
Cecile shakes her head, trying not to laugh herself. “I've tried to tame him, but he’s in God's hands now.”
Everyone laughs harder.
“Come, let's strip these moose so we can eat,” Clarence says. “We don't want Harmony getting moody.”
“Hey, I'll have you know—”
“Calm down, Princess. He’s just joking.”
She crosses her arms. “Sure.”
I pull her back into my arms to kiss her. I can practically feel the anger leave her and be replaced with need instead. Maybe kissing her wasn't such a good idea.
I let her go and know she's disappointed. “Help me strip this meat,” I tell her, trying to distract her thoughts. Her moods are so up and down. She fought me over not giving her enough dick last night, so I had to eat her pussy on the Saint Andrew’s Cross for two hours straight before she finally let it go. Not that I minded.
She's an angry, beautiful mess right now, but she’s still perfect.
“This ain’t what I wanna be doing,” she sulks.
I smirk but quickly wipe it from my face before she can see. “Ella,” ‘please tell Harmony I'll deal with her soon.’
Ella smirks and then I feel Harmony’s eyes on me and know Ella's told her.
Her eyes light up. “Alright.”
