Accidentally Slept With The Ruthless Billionaire

Chapter 560: Phoenix Alliance Group’s Amazing

Ch. 560 / 630 Apr 22, 2026

"After staying quiet for a long time, Phoenix Alliance Group’s PR team is finally speaking up. According to a reliable source, all those negative stories were false. The head of PR said they’ll be taking legal steps to protect the company."

"Top lawyers from Red Circle have stepped in and taken on Phoenix Alliance Group’s case. Several companies, media outlets, and other groups may now be facing lawsuits."

Authorities confirmed that after a full audit, there was no financial misconduct found in Phoenix Alliance Group.

Many people online, suddenly forgetting how they had bashed the company before, were now acting like they had always trusted it.

"I’ve been saying all along that someone was clearly trying to ruin Phoenix Alliance Group’s name and mess with their stock. Am I right?"

"You said that? Come on, I remember your username. That’s not what you said before!"

"No point arguing now. The stock price is low, this is the perfect time for everyone to buy them."

“Forget about shorting the Phoenix Alliance Group stocks, now's the time to go all in on Phoenix Alliance Group! Invest everything! Let’s go!”

Brady scanned the latest headlines, staying calm. In his mind, this was still the most dangerous moment for Phoenix Alliance Group.

“Stick to the plan. Don’t panic,” he said over the phone. After giving instructions to his team, he hung up and looked toward the hospital room.

He had rushed over early that morning just to see Dave fall with his own eyes.

Inside, Dave and Bianca were still having breakfast with Lucas. They hadn’t come out yet.

“You’ve finally cracked. But even now, what can you really do?”

Brady muttered to himself.

If the stock price hit its lower limit today, Dave would be completely cut off from Phoenix Alliance Group. It wouldn’t matter if the price went up later because of public support. Brady still held a large chunk of stock, he could easily profit off the shift.

He glanced at his watch. Nine o’clock. The market just opened.

Right after the call auction ended, Phoenix Alliance Group’s stock price shot up for over 4.4% in a flash.

Just then, Dave and Bianca walked out of the hospital room, laughing and talking. When they saw Brady, they smiled and greeted him like nothing was wrong.

Bianca, clearly excited, pulled out her phone in front of Brady and said, “Dave, look! The stock price is going up!”

Brady smiled like he was happy too, putting on a fatherly expression as he looked at Dave.

“Looks like that $25 billion investment paid off. Thanks to you, Phoenix Alliance Group is back on its feet.”

But within a minute, a wave of sell orders hit the market. The stock price started to slip, little by little. In seconds, it dropped all the way back to where it started.

“What’s happening? Why are people still dumping the stock?” Bianca asked, confused. “Didn’t all the bad press get cleared this morning? And with all that money flowing in, why is it falling again?”

Brady stood there, pretending to be surprised. Inside, he was thrilled.

He had quietly pumped even more money into the market, just to crash the price. He didn’t care if he had to buy high, sell low, borrow from Triumph Capital, or take heavy losses.

To him, all of that was temporary. In the end, he was sure he’d win.

Brady watched Dave, who looked completely calm.

“No need to panic. Let it play out,” Dave said, meeting Brady’s eyes without flinching. “Phoenix Alliance Group won’t hit the lower limit.”

Brady blinked, rubbing his eyes. Something felt different. Dave’s stare was sharper and colder than usual.

Where was this confidence coming from? He really believed the stock wouldn’t crash?

Brady had poured in a fortune to drag the market down. He wanted Dave to break. He wanted him to feel hopeless.

“I don’t think Phoenix Alliance Group will crash either. I bought shares myself,” Brady said, pretending to check the market on his phone. “You won’t let me lose money, right?”

At the same time, he quietly sent a message to his team.

“Start dumping shares. Push it hard. I want the price to hit the bottom before noon.”

He was done waiting. His patience had run out. Lucas’s recovery was ruining his plans.

If both Phoenix Alliance Group and Evans Group collapsed under debt, the perfect outcome would be Dave cracking under pressure, maybe even doing something drastic, like jumping off a building. That shock might be enough to take Lucas down completely, along with the whole Evans family.

Brady didn’t like thinking about it too much, but he knew if he were Lucas, seeing everything he built fall apart, then losing his only heir right after, it would be too much to bear.

"You're overthinking it," Dave said, his tone calm but serious. "As long as you stay optimistic about Phoenix Alliance Group and don’t short it, you won’t lose money."

Brady froze for a moment, then quickly pulled himself together. Cold sweat broke out on his forehead. For a second, he thought Dave had read his mind.

But it was just a false alarm.

“How could I possibly be bearish?” Brady said with a smile. “I’m just waiting for Phoenix Alliance Group’s stock to rise so I can make some money too.”

“Well, that’s good to hear,” Dave replied with a slight nod. “I’ve never let anyone down before.”

“The stock price of Phoenix Alliance Group will rise today,” Dave said with confidence.

Brady found the way he said it irritating. It sounded arrogant and foolish like he thought just saying it would make it true.

Brady shook his head but didn’t say anything. He glanced down at his phone, just to pass the time.

Then he froze.

His face turned pale. His mouth hung open, stunned. His eyes blurred for a second, and he had to fight to stay on his feet.

On his screen, the stock price for Phoenix Alliance Group had gone up. Not just a little but it was soaring.

How could this be happening? In just a few seconds, Brady was drenched in sweat. His thoughts were spinning out of control.

He had pledged 51% of Lawson Group’s shares and raised hundreds of billions just to short Phoenix Alliance Group’s stock. But instead of crashing, the stock had hit a new high. It felt like someone had slapped him hard across the face. His mind went blank. All he could feel was the sting.

“The price hit a new high!” Bianca had seen it too. Her face lit up with excitement.

At the same time, two other people were just as excited as them, it was Brandon and Diana.

“Wow! Phoenix Alliance Group is amazing!” Brandon said.
