Accidentally Slept With The Ruthless Billionaire

Chapter 462: He’s Treating Her Gently

Ch. 462 / 630 Apr 22, 2026

Bianca didn’t know what to say after Dave asked her that question.

While she stayed silent, Dave stood up and looked down at her. His voice was calm and soft. “Bianca, I’m not the bad guy you think I am. I don’t want anything from you.”

She looked up and saw him walk to the kitchen with an empty plate in his hand.

She glanced at the breakfast in front of her and held her fork tighter. She cut into the fried egg and took a bite. The creamy taste filled her mouth and brought back a memory—the first time Dave cooked for her. It tasted just the same.

He had cooked for her many times. He had saved her, too. Why did he care so much?

From where she sat, Bianca watched Dave clean the kitchen. Even though he was a CEO, he quietly did the chores like it was nothing. For the first time, he felt more real to her.

After finishing her food, she got up to bring her plate to the kitchen. But she suddenly bumped into someone.

She stepped back quickly and almost dropped the plate.

When she looked up, she saw a simple-looking woman who seemed to be in her forties or fifties.

“You are…” Bianca said, surprised.

The woman looked toward the kitchen, then back at Bianca. When she noticed Bianca wearing Dave’s white shirt, a knowing look appeared on her face. She smiled kindly. “Miss, I’m Dana. I take care of Mr. Evans’s daily chores.”

Without waiting, Dana reached for the plate in Bianca’s hand. “You don’t have to do this. I’ll handle it.”

Bianca felt a bit awkward and tried to speak. “It’s okay, Dana. I can—”

But Dana was quick. She had already taken the plate before Bianca could finish.

Dana leaned in and spoke in a quiet voice. “Miss, you’re the first woman to stay here. How lucky you are!”

Bianca blushed. She looked down at the shirt she was wearing and realized what Dana must be thinking.

Quickly, she shook her head. “No, that’s not it. Last night, I was just—”

Bianca tried to explain but couldn’t find the right words. She couldn’t remember what happened the night before.

Dana watched her with a small smile. She looked at the empty plate and asked, “Who made your breakfast?”

“It was... Mr. Evans,” Bianca answered, her voice a little shaky.

“Wow!” Dana said, clearly surprised and amazed.

“Huh?” Bianca frowned, confused.

Seeing Bianca’s confused face, Dana let out a soft sigh. “If Mr. Evans brings a woman home and even makes her breakfast, it means something. He sees you in a special way.”

“In what way?” Bianca asked, trying to understand.

Dana noticed her confusion and looked a bit nervous. “He’s serious about you. He’s picturing you as the lady of this house. He wants to marry you!”

Bianca stood still, shocked by those words. A small wave of sadness hit her as she remembered what Dave had said.

“Dana, you’ve got it wrong. He’s not going to marry me. He’s engaged to Miss Larson.”

When Dana heard Skylar’s name, her face changed. “Skylar Larson has never stepped foot in this house. Mr. Evans doesn’t care about her. It’s Lucas who’s been trying to make him marry her. But Mr. Evans has avoided it for a long time. And now that Lucas’s sick... I still don’t get what he sees in her!”

Bianca’s eyes grew wide. She quietly said, “Is that so…”

Dana’s face lit up. “Miss, I used to wonder why Mr. Evans refused to marry Skylar. But now I get it! You’re the first woman he’s brought here. Oh! What’s your name?”

Bianca gave a soft smile. “I’m Bianca Scott.”

Dana repeated her name and nodded. She saw both kindness and elegance in Bianca, and instantly liked her.

“Dana, there you are.” Dave stepped out from the kitchen and saw Dana and Bianca near the entrance.

When she heard his voice, Dana quickly walked over to him with a teasing smile. “Mr. Evans, I’ll take care of the rest. You should spend time with Miss Scott. Just call if you need anything.”

Dave gave Bianca a quick, thankful look, then spoke to Dana in a low voice. “Thank you.”

“You’re welcome,” Dana replied with a bright smile and her eyes drifted back to Bianca.

She couldn’t help but think— Dave was different around this woman. He’s treating her gently.

Dana set the plate down in the kitchen. The sound echoed in the sudden silence.

Dave appeared next to Bianca. His eyes briefly landed on the thin shirt she was wearing. “I’ll get you a jacket,” he said in a quiet tone.

“Oh… okay,” Bianca replied softly, lowering her eyes. When she looked up again, he was already walking away.

Feeling curious, Bianca followed him out to the balcony. There were clothes hanging to dry.

She watched as Dave took a piece of clothing from the line—the one she had worn last night. He turned around and looked into her eyes. Without a word, he held out her clothes.

“Last night, you spilled something on yourself,” Dave said softly. “So I went ahead and washed it for you.”

Bianca slowly took the clothes from him. Her fingers brushed his for a second. “You... you washed this?” she asked, her voice full of surprise.

“We were the only ones here,” Dave said simply.

His words carried more meaning than he said out loud.

Bianca held the clothes tighter. A strange feeling rose in her chest.

Dave looked at her curiously. “Bianca, do you remember anything you said last night?”

She frowned, trying to think.

Her mind was blank. Did she say something she shouldn’t have? Regret crept in. Maybe it was time to stay away from drinking.

Dave smiled a little as he watched her expression. “Looks like you don’t even remember what I said,” he teased.

“What did you say?” Bianca asked quickly, her voice full of confusion.

“Nothing happened between me and Skylar that night,” Dave said. “She asked me to stay and write that statement. She once saved my life, and I couldn’t just ignore her when she was devastated. So... I stayed. I slept on the couch and left early in the morning. That’s all.”

Bianca’s breath caught. His words shook her.

“I lied about who I was,” he added. “And I never told you the truth about Skylar. It’s my fault you misunderstood everything. I’m sorry.”

She didn’t expect him to suddenly tell her what really happened on the cruise during the banquet.
