I woke up in the morning to find Megan sleeping very close to me, her arm was on my body. I gently raised her arm and got off the bed, letting it rest on the bed. Staring at her for a few seconds, I turned around and headed for the bathroom to brush my teeth.
My first day in Botswana was not that bad, aside from the stress of the day and the drama of the evening, everything went smoothly. I had met this African lady who worked at one of the bars, she was nice to me. I had learnt that she was of both Nigeria and South African descent, and I think she inherited the best of both sides.
Her name was Ugochi and even after several attempts at pronouncing it correctly, I still suck. She wouldn’t stop laughing each time I pronounced it, perhaps something to do with my accent. With them, the pronunciations were just deeper.
For some reason, I was glad that MB had left me behind, else I would have never gone down to that bar nor met my new friend. I caused quite a stare last night, I had at least three guys approach me. They were all handsome guys. I didn’t expect them to be bold enough to approach me given the difference in skin color, but I was really mistaken.
The men in this continent, judging from the few I had encountered, are an entirely different breed. Their intentions I doubt, but their boldness is not to be debated.
After brushing my teeth and washing my face, I looked at the mirror for a few more minutes, lost in my thoughts, and then after regaining consciousness of my environment, I walked back to the bedroom.
Megan was just getting up from the bed when I walked in, I put up a smile, trying not to make things awkward due to what happened last night.
“Hi, you are up.”
“Hey… Good morning,” she replied with a small smile.
“How are you feeling?” I asked, not sure if I should have furthered that conversation or left it at the good morning. Maybe things could just go back to the way it used to be between us and I wouldn’t have to deal with all this awkwardness.
“I am okay, thank you for last night.”
“Oh,” I huffed with a smile. “It was no big deal,” I quickly waved it off.
“Yes it was, I know we didn’t start on the right foot and I hated you for taking a job I badly yawned for, but last night I was down and you catered for me, that means a lot to me, and I am sorry for the way I have treated you in the past.”
“Tsk… It is no biggy, get off it.” I smiled.
She nodded, the look on her face expressing her sincere appreciation. I guess the unnecessary animosity between us was over, it didn’t even have to exist in the first place. I have a feeling that this would lead to bigger things, and the two of us working together can achieve bigger things for certain.
“Yeah… so what is the plan for today? Any update from the big boss?” she teased with a bit of sarcasm in her tone.
I smiled at her humor and shook my head. She had no idea what plans Mr. Blackwood had for the day, so I guess things are back to normal in the world again. I am kinda glad that they blew up this shit they had going in the past three days.
“I really have no idea, the Big Boss didn’t give any instructions. Although, I doubt he has any plans for us today, it is Sunday and I happen to have plans of my own.” I announced.
“You do?” Megan asked with curious eyes, and a bit of surprise
“Yeah, I do. So last night while you two were awa…” I suddenly paused as I realized that I had reminded her of the date.
“It's okay, I have moved past that,.” She smiled, as if realizing why I had stopped.
“Okay, so last night, I went to one of the bars in the hotel and I made a friend there, a sweet young lady, she works in the bar and is off duty today, she invited me to her church and I would to give it a try, you know… I am not really religious but for the experience.” I narrated.
“Wow, you made a friend already? At least one of us got to enjoy their night.” She laughed.
“Why does everyone seem surprised to hear that?” I asked and squinted my eyes, expectant of a response.
Megan laughed; did I mention that she has a beautiful voice?
“Well, it has barely been two days since we got here, and it would take me much longer to be able to do that.” She chuckled.
“Oh, It is really not a big deal for me, I just judge your character and decide if we can roll.”
“Come on, you don’t have to remind me that my attitude towards you sucked.” She giggled.
I laughed at her words. “I didn’t mean to, but yeah, I won't lie that it didn’t suck.”
“Haha! Girl, you are such a vibe, I am glad I don’t have to pretend otherwise. Anyways, if you trust this new friend of yours and wish to attend her church service, then I am coming with you.” Megan declared.
“Really?” I asked and squinted my eyes in surprise.
“Yeah, as much as I wouldn’t want to be left all alone here, I also would like to experience the African church, I mean, my ancestors come from this continent, I could feel a bit of connection to them while outside.” She joked.
I laughed and shook my head. “Okay then, but you need to pick an outfit that covers you up, Ugochi wouldn’t stop emphasizing on that.”
“Sorry, what?” Megan muttered and burst into laughter. I guess it was the pronunciation of the name at it again, I couldn’t help but laugh too.
“I am not saying it again, we should get ready, we are already late for the service.” I said amidst laughter.
“Then we should probably bathe together, you okay with that?”
I swallowed hard the moment she asked that, I have only bathed with Jennifer and I didn’t know how it would feel being naked with another lady.
“I could wait if you are not comfortable…” Megan added immediately she saw my reaction.
“Of course not, it is totally fine, I just needed a few seconds to process your word.” I laughed.
Moments later, we were in the shower together, completely unclad. I couldn’t help but steal glances at her, she had dropping boobs with long nipples and I was amazed how she was able to keep her tummy flat with all that. Maybe she does work out, am I the only one who doesn’t?
I wasn’t the only one guilty of staring, I think I noticed Megan’s eyes on my Titties and I tried not to look her way again. Good Lord, this is weird!

Maxwell Blackwood stood by his side window as he watched the ladies giggle excitedly as they walked into the taxi. He growled inwards, mad that he had no idea where they were going, but from their dressing, he could guess that it was going to be a church service.
He sighed and turned his back to the window, wondering when they became gist mates. Thinking back to Anna’s words, he wondered if he was really in the wrong. He never said he loved Megan or expressed his desire to date her, so why should he be blamed for her own thoughts?
She was the one who made up the whole thing in her head. It could have been a friendly gesture from him and she chose to misunderstand. Why should he be held accountable for her own thoughts and delusion? Why should he apologize when he has done no wrong?
