We arrived at the festival. I knew that there’s a festival here since 2 weeks ago. We started exploring there’s tons of food. I looked around me and everything looked yummy. I think I'm in the mood burgers today. I took Jayson's hand and pulled him through the sea of people.
"Can I get 2 burgers please?" I shouted because there’s a lot of people here.
"Which one?" The cashier asked.
“Classic.” I pointed and the cashier nodded and gestured me to pay. Before I could get my wallet, Jayson for it. I thanked the cashier and he gave me a number.
"You usually eat here?"
"No, this food festival started 2 weeks ago.”
"Oh.. I never been to this kinda place before." He said as he looked around completely fascinated by .
"Fun, isn’t it? Even though there’s a lot of people but.. Festivals are fun!" I kept looking at the numbers it’s pretty close to ours.
“Two hundred and five!” They called
“Here!” I raised my number and grabbed the burgers.
When I brought the food to him, Jayson looked at it skeptically. Not only because the burger patties so wide but there’s no place to sit. I gestured him to take a bite and he raised his eyebrows.
“Let me try first..” I said and I took a bite. I squealed for how good it is. Jayson quickly took a bite and I waiting for his reaction.
"Delicious?" I asked and he nodded. He ate it all in 4 bites and I can’t help but proud of myself getting him try. We went to the next stall and it’s churros, I like it but not into sweets. Jayson, on the other hand, 3 more and he added a chocolate dipping sauce. I went to buy tacos and again, he ate most of it.
I was going to buy crepes but I’m full already. We decided to close it with ice creams. We walked out from festival completely full.
“How was it?”
“Good, it was so good.” He said and I checked the time. My eyes widen because it’s almost 12.30. I need go to class and thank god the uni is 10 minutes away.
“I have to go! Bye!” With that, I ditched Jayson.
I ran to my class and study. I'm not late! After class, I went home and getting ready to go to Jayson's house. I took a shower and got out. I dried my hair put a little bit of makeup and curled my hair , I took my dark blue dress and wear an ankle strap heels. I took a mini blue bag and put my , cards and some cash in there.
"What should I get him?" I asked myself. "Will he like it if I buy him a tie?" My phone rings and it's Jayson.
"I'm right outside." He said, I got down from my apartment and walked outside. He opened his car , I got into his car.
"Let's go to the mall." I said as I put on my seatbelt.
"Wha-"
"Please let’s go to the mall, it’ll be quick.” I told him and he nodded. He drove us to the nearest mall.
"Wait here." I told him to wait in the car and I ran to the department store and picked a beautiful pattern . I picked a beautiful red and gold tie with lines and it looked so good. I bought it and ran back to
Jayson’s car.
"What did you buy?" He asked.
"You'll see." with that he drive to his parents house.
"There's a party?" I asked because there’s a lot of people inside.
"Yeah, all of my families and friends are in there.”
"What? I'm going home!" I’m freaking out because it’s getting too much.
"Just act along will you?"
"Jayson, I don't want this. I don’t want to be involved in your life! Please.. I will get this thing off as soon as
I can!" I pointed at the ring.
"I don't give shit about the ring anymore!" What? We got out and before I could runaway, he took my hand pulled me inside. I'm nervous. Jayson slid his arm around my waist. It's like he's securing me to show that I'm his. We walked in and thank god, Martin was near the door.
"Happybirthday, Martin." I walked to him and gave him a hug.
"Thankyou, Elsa."
"I have a present for you!" I gave him the black box and he opened it. He looked at me surprised and he to his wife.
"Thankyou so much, I love it." He took out the tie and showed me. Martin showed it to Jayson and Sarah.
"I'm glad you love it!" I smiled, Jayson's grip tightened.
"Martin!" Suddenly a tall handsome guy walked to us and gave Martin a big hug. He then turned to me Jayson.
"Sam meet Elsa, Jayson's fiancee." Martin introduced me to him. Sam put his hand in front of me.
"Elsa." I shook his hand.
"Samuel." He smiled.
"Okay enough." Jayson pulled my hand away. I looked at him and he looked at Sam coldly. Sam chuckled excused himself.
“Elsa!” I turned to see Sarah walking towards me. She opened her arms and pulled me into a hug.
"My Elsa.." She greeted me and Jayson walked away to talk to someone else. I talked to Sarah for and then I walked outside to get some fresh air. There’s a lot of people in there.
I walked to garden at the back of Jayson’s parents house. I felt the cold breeze run through my skin. I but it felt nice. I rather stay here than go back inside. Suddenly someone put his jacket on me I turned to see Jayson standing behind me.
"It's cold here." He said.
"Hmm.." I nodded
"Jayson!" Suddenly someone called him and I gestured him to go inside and I smiled. He left and I sat on big bench and looked at the stars.
"Nice job." Suddenly a new voice, I turned to see Sam walking towards me. He sat next to me and I at him confused.
"For what?"
"Knocking his cold heart." He said and I turned my attention back to the stars.
"So how did you meet my cousin?" He asked.
"We met at a cafe and he asked my numbe-"
"Bullshit.” He said making me turn to him.
"I know Jayson, he won’t just randomly ask a girl out." He chuckled.
"What-”
"Stay away from my fiancee, Sam." Jayson walked to me and he was already looking at him coldly.
"Getting over protective now huh?" Sam stood up and chuckled. After that he left, Jayson sat beside me.
"Let's just get inside it's cold here.." He put his arms around me. I nodded and we walked inside.
"My favorite nephew, Jayson, and who is this?"
"Meet my fiancee, Elsa." He introduced me.
"Hi, I’m Elsa."
"You're so beautiful. I heard a lot about you!"
"Thankyou.”
"What a lucky guy.." She turned to Jayson and Jayson smiled.
"I am." Jayson turned to me.
"Okay, I’ll talk to you again later, your uncle wants this." She showed a cheesecake and she walked away.
"Can we talk?" I asked him but before he can answer, he was pulled away.
My phone rang and I looked at the caller ID. I went outside to pick up the call.
"Hey Chance..”
"You didn’t reply my text, I was wondering if you’re okay..” He said and I closed my eyes because I forgot it.
"Sorry! I'm currently at a party, let's go on a dinner tomorrow!"
"Okay great! I'll pick you on 7 and text me your address."
"Okay.” I ended the call and texted him my address.
"Who is it?" Jayson stood beside me.
"Nothing. "
"Chance?" He asked and I looked at him nodding. He took a deep breath and let it out slowly.
"What do you want to talk about?"
"Let's end this, it’s going too far. I'll make sure to get the ring out tomorrow!" I looked at him and he looked he wanted to say something but he can't. I gave his jacket back and we entered the house again.
Suddenly Jayson slid his arm to my waist and tightened the grip. I was confused as he led me to the of the room. He grabbed a glass of champagne and random spoon on the table. He grabbed ’s attention.
"Everyone, I have an announcement to make."
