Avery P.O.V.
I woke up and climbed out of bed. I started making my bed. My mom always says to make your bed before you start your day. So, that's what I am doing. After I got my bed made. I began grabbing clothes out of my closet and dresser.
I put them on my bed for a minute. But first, I wanted to ensure my phone was fully charged before I went to school today. I look down at my bedside table and see my fully charged phone. Then I put down my phone, walked over to my bed, grabbed my clothes and a towel, and went to the bathroom to shower.
After getting out of the shower, I wrap one towel around my body and another around my head. I started getting ready for school. I brushed my teeth, washed my face, and dried my face. I started putting on my make-up.
My black mascara and my black eyeliner, and my pink lip gloss. After I saw how my make-up was doing, I started taking off the towel over my head. I started combing my hair out. I didn't want to do much with my hair. I am going to let it air dry and let it down today. I usually dry my hair with an air dryer and put it in a messy bun on my head.
But today, I wanted to do something different. After being satisfied with my outcome, I wanted to look pretty today with my hair down.
I started walking into my bedroom.
I walked inside my door, walked over to my bed, grabbed my clothes, and started getting dressed. After getting dressed, I started putting on my shoes, grabbed my bag, and walked out the door. I walked towards my stairs.
Downstairs
When I hit the last steps, I walked inside the kitchen and saw my parents kissing.
I made a disgusting face staring at them. But even though I think it is gross, I am glad they have a love I have been dreaming about since I was a little girl. I walked inside the room and cleared my throat. "Uhm," I told them.
They both moved away and started fixing their clothes.
My mom got off my dad's lap and started walking over toward me with red cheeks.
"Oh, hey, honey." You are hungry, Avery" She asked me.
I shook my head and said no.
"I am good; I just grabbed myself an apple and a water bottle." I am waiting for someone to pick me up.
When I said that to my parents, I jumped up when I heard the doorbell ring.
"That's for me!" I yelled out and went to the door. I opened it, and I had a smile on my face and when I saw who it was at my door, Elijah? I said in my head. Why is he here?
I thought Jake was going to be here, not him. I didn't want to be rude, but I could not help it. My smile dropped. He saw my facial expression. I thought seen sadness and brokenness. But then he shook his head and then blinked, and his cocky smile returned on his face.
"Elijah, hi" "I mean Alpha," I said, bending my head and saying." Why are you doing here?" I asked him with nervousness in my voice.
I must be on my toes being around him. Because one minute he's friendly and gentle with me, and the next he can be angry and hurtful towards me. So yeah, I am nervous around him. I try not to flinch around him when he walks inside my house.
He saw what I did, and I saw his face look sad. That was the first I thought. There's no way Elijah Woods would feel guilty and sad. But this's a change of him. I am seen as a human and not the monster I always thought he was. I shook my head and opened my mouth, and asked him.
"Where is Jake?" Do you know if he is coming to pick me up?"
"Aren't he supposed to pick me up?" I asked him. I didn't want him to be mad at me for asking him. So, I stuck out my chest, showed him I was not scared, and stared him down. I stand there waiting for him to say something. We stand in the doorway of my house, staring into each other's eyes.
Then he opened his mouth.
"Who said Jake isn't here?" He said, putting his finger throw my hair. I flinch and move back away from him. Because he scares me, he makes me nervous because I don't know when he will flip out on me.
Elijah P.O.V.
"Elijah, hi" "I mean Alpha," she told me. Then I bend down on her neck. I can smell her. I would have to calm down before I do something foolish. She kept on talking and asking me questions. So, I am standing there in my own thoughts. I am thinking about how I am going to mate with my mate. I can feel my heart racing inside my chest. I wonder if she could feel it because I am so close.
"Why are you doing here?"
"Where is Jake?" Do you know if he is coming to pick me up?"
"Aren't he supposed to pick me up?" She kept asking question after question. I knew she was nervous because she kept on talking and talking. If she weren't my mate, I would have already been gone. Damn, she smelled good after she waited for me to say anything.
I didn't say anything just yet. We just kept on standing there and making eye contact with silence. I licked my lips, staring at her plump lips. I wanted to bite and run my tongue around her lips. I want to lick her lips and down her body.
But instead, I wake up from my daydream about what I want to do to her body. So, I open my mouth.
"Who said Jake isn't here?" I said, putting my finger throw her hair. I look at her, and her face is priceless because her eyes are big, and her mouth is hung open. What I would do with her mouth open around my coc- Stop it, or you'll get blue balls, and I don't need that right now. I chuckled and whispered into her face.
"So, come on, sweetheart, we better hurry, or we are going to be late for school," I told her, walking back outside towards Jake's jeep.
