Watching Rune being dragged from the office, I turn to look down at Tanya. She is shaking, tears in her eyes as she slowly dresses. My heart aches for her, for the woman I have fallen for.
“He won’t marry me.” She states with a whimper, shivering not from cold, but from fear.
“He will. There is a contract and he can’t back out.” I reassure her, tucking my finger under her chin and forcing her to look at me.
“Why can’t you marry me Valor. My father will understand.” Tanya begs, stepping closer to me. Her pouty lips are formed into a frown and I find myself unable to stop from lowering mine down to hers and claiming that mouth in a kiss. She moans as my tongue shoves inside, tangling with hers. Pulling away, Tanya’s eyes are filled with lust and I feel myself slowly growing hard. I want to lock the office door and bend her over once more. To hear her scream and moan my name and beg me to fuck her harder.
“The pack has already prepared the wedding for you and Rune. If we change it now, we don’t know what they will say.” I sigh out, stepping away from the she-wolf to find my own clothes. There is a party waiting to welcome her back and between our love making and the fight with Rune, the two of us are late.
“Then, I will marry Rune, but I want to keep you too.” I chuckle at her adamant words, turning to give her a sly smile before dressing.
“I can agree to that Baby.” I state, moving closer to Tanya and placing a kiss on her head.
“Now, we have a party to attend to.” With that, I lead Tanya from my office. The pack will talk about us arriving together but I can lie easily and state we were working on her paperwork that will officially make her a member of the pack.
Entering the functions room, the first thing I notice are Caspian and Jett watching us. It is not uncommon to see those two together as Caspian will be my son’s Beta in a few weeks. It’s the way their eyes are filled with suspicious that worries me. Luckily, Jett had been commanded not to spread anything about Tanya and I when he walked in on us earlier. I felt his rage and disappointment in what had happened. Had seen the way he was ready to kill me considering our past. The only reason he is still in Pine Moon is to protect Rune like my dead wife had wanted.
As long as Rune behaves himself and marries Tanya in a few days time, I won’t have to get rid of him, Jet and Caspian like I did with Clairice, Knox and Talia. No one will get in the way of me becoming powerful.
“Alpha, have you seen Rune?” Caspian is the first to approach me, a worried look for my useless son on his face.
“Yes, he fell sick and is in his room. I have some Warriors watching over him in case he needs something.” I answer with a shrug before excusing myself and pulling Tanya towards the center of the room. Tanya thanks me for escorting her to her party before she takes off to find her friends. The music begins and I find a spot for myself to sit and watch my pack enjoy a party. Unease fills the air and I can tell that not many want to be here, but they do so out of obligation. From where I sit, I am able to watch as Caspian leaves the room after speaking to Jett. My Beta makes no move to stop him, but instead comes to stand beside my chair.
“I didn’t say anything like you ordered me to.” He states emotionlessly. I scoff, already knowing as much. I would have felt the command break had he told Rune about Tanya and I. That welp just walked in on us at the wrong time on his own.
“He is confined to his room till the wedding day. Make sure that he eats something for me will you.” Jett nods before leaving the room as well. Unease begins to fill me, but I chalk it up to it being because I was caught with my son’s fiancé. Rune can’t do anything now that he is under the surveillance of my men.
I focus on the party, chatting with the elites of my pack and watching as my Tanya enjoys herself. I send images of what I want to do to her later tonight and watch as her face turns a bright pink and her eyes dart to mine. She will be a married woman soon and so I plan to enjoy the next few nights with her in my arms when the rest of the pack is asleep.
