I can’t believe dad just said that.
Okay so let’s start from the beginning.
It has been one month since I and Logan got married and the twins were born in my family and we have decided to go on our honeymoon after a year when the twins and Sofia grow up and can leave without us with my parents-in-law for a few months.
The next morning we get fresh and meet others in the dining room for breakfast. Then suddenly dad said.
“Erika I and everyone have decided to make you and Logan the next king and queen of vampires,” he said giving me the greatest shock ever. Don’t take me wrong it’s not that I complain but I mean isn’t the eldest child and his or her spouse take the crown after their parent. I and Logan am the second kid.
" Isn’t the eldest child and his or her spouse take the crown after their parent. I and Logan am the second kid. And basically, it’s Alex’s right to take thrown after you. What did Aana say about it? ” I asked
with wide eyes. I look at Logan to see if he has the same reaction as me.
“I agreed with Erika, traditionally it’s Alex and Aana's right to take thrown after you, and let’s assume if I and Erika take it what will people say about it, infect leaves the people what will council think about it? ” Logan asks.
“Oh, don’t you worry about the council Logan I and Alex have already talked about it with the council and they are very happy about our decision. They said if you and Erika take the throne after me and your mother then our kingdom will be in a more safe hand then it will in Alex and Aana’s hand.” Dad said with a smile.
“What do you think about it Aana?” I ask her while looking at her.
“I agreed with others and if the council thought it’s a good idea then I have no problem with it,” she said with a smile on her face.
“So you have no problem with it?” I ask.
“Yes, I have no problem with it, infect take this as a birthday gift from all of us,” she said and I just shake my head at her.
“Oh, I also have one or two news to share with you all,” Avis said while smiling and looking at Ankho.
“News no 1 is I and Ankho are dating,” Avis said while looking at Ankho, we all turn and look at her to see her blushing.
“On reception, Mr. Ellwood asks me to join the council and after thinking for some time I have decided that I will join the council as a representative of the council and move here to my house with
Ankho,” Avis said.
“That's a good news Avis, congregation Avis,” I said and hugged him tightly.
“Thanks, sis,” he said hugging me back.
“Too much for slow ha,” I tease looking at Ankho and wiggling my eyebrow at her making her blush.
“What are you going to do with your old house near the beach?” Loga ask.
“I will keep it to myself and arrange a caretaker for it. So if any of us decide to go to the beach and want to stay the night we can stay at my house. Besides, I don’t want to sell it because it is the first gift my sis gives to me and it is a vase of our first son, ” Avis said and I look at him with awe and a big smile on my face.
“So, when we are going to organize the crowning ceremony?” Logan ask.
“On Erika and Avis’s birthday which is next month on 7 March, we were thinking to organize them a birthday party and crown her in front of all and on the same day introduce Avis as a council representative,” dad said.
“Good idea dad,” Logan said smiling at him.
“So are you okay with it little brother,” Alex asked.
“Okay with what,” Logan asked back.
“Being a king of the vampire,” Alex said and he nodded at him. We all finished our breakfast and goes to mine and Logan’s room to open the gift.
After that, we have our lunch boys go to their office to do their work, mom goes to look after the servants and guide them to start the preparation for our birthday party. I, Aana, and Ankho go to our room and played with the kids while talking about random things.
Then suddenly Aana gets sick and runs to the washroom while putting her hand at her mouth to stop the breakfast from coming out. I and Ankho run after her to see her puking her guts out. I got closer to her and hold her hair with one hand while running my other hand on her back to make her feel better.
After she is done she walks to think and fash her mouth and face.
“Are you feeling okay now?” I ask her and she shakes her head.
“I don’t know why I am not feeling well for some days,” she said walking to my bed.
“Did you tell Alex about it?” I ask her and she just shakes her head as an answer
“How are you feeling for some days tell me maybe I can help you,” I said.
“I feel light-headed and I puke my guts out some time while I eat like a crazy woman and from some days not to forgot mood swing, ” she said while chuckling.
“Are you pregnant Aana?” I ask with a gasp.
“I don’t know guys but I guess so,” she said, a small smile coming to her face.
“Let’s get sure about it,” I said.
“How?” Ankho ask.
“I have some pregnancy tests you can go and check Aana,” I said while going toward my draw and taking out some tests. I give it to her and push her towards the washroom. She enters the washroom and closes the door while I and Ankho were sitting and waiting for her to come out with the results excitedly.
She comes after some time with a huge smile on her face and a test on her hand. She looks at us and nodded happily while blushing at the same time. I run to her and engulf her in a hug. We congratulate her when a servant comes to my room and knock on the door.
“Yes?” I ask looking at her.
“Lunch is ready my lady,” she said.
“We will be there soon,” I said and she walks away after bowing her head in respect.
“How are you going to tell others about it?” I ask her.
“I don’t know. Do you have any idea?” she asked me.
“I have one idea but I will tell you later about it. First, let’s go and have some lunch and until then let’s keep it a secret between us, “I said while helping Aana get up from the bed.
After lunch, we come back to our room.
“So here is the idea first let’s go to the hospital and have a picture of sonography or ultrasound. I have a small white color shoe. Aana do you still have a test with you?” I ask her and she nodded her head.
“Good, so we put the test on the shoe, and we wrap the pic of baby and the shoe in the gift wrapper with an envelope say I love you daddy and give it as a gift to him when you are alone,” I said.
“Nice idea Erika, thank you, thank you so much,” so we did as we planned and wrapped it all in the gift wrapper and give it to Aana to give to Alex. It was dinner time when we have done with it. So we walk to the dining room to have dinner. After that, we walk to our room to go to sleep.
I walk to the washroom to take a shower and get in comfortable table clothes. After that, I walk to my bed and get under the cover.
“Logan I want to talk about something important to you,” I said while looking at him.
“About what love?” he asked getting under the cover and pulling me closer to him in his arms.
“About Alisha,” I said getting closer to him undercover.
“What about her?” he asks while looking at me.
“I am thinking to get her admission in the school, not any school but a supernatural school,” I said while looking up at him.
“You mean where all the supernatural kids like a werewolf, vampire, demon, etc are going to study,” he asks and I nodded at him while yawning getting sleepy.
“But do you think she will fit between them what if they bully her because of her being human,” he asks the last sentence with a growl being the overprotective father he is.
“No one is going to bully her, because of me a queen of all the creatures and her mother, and if they do they will see my warmth. No one bullies my princess whether adopted or not. I will tell her before sending her to school that if someone bullies her because of her being a human then come to us and tell us and we will talk to her or his parents to punish them okay.” I said while running my hand up and down his arms trying to calm him with my touch.
“Huh, I will talk to the principal and teachers to make sure she didn’t get bullied,” he said.
“Good decision is made then,” I ask and he nodded.
“So when will we go to school?” I ask.
“Tomorrow,” he said and I nodded at him.
“Anyway tell me one thing why did you want to admit her to that school,” he said.
“Because she is a member of a royal family now, so she has to learn to get mixed up with them for her benefit so what is a good start than to join the royal people's school,” I explain.
“Infect I’m thinking to tell mom to appoint a lady to teach her about royalty and the way royal people behave is that ok to you,” I ask.
“Do as you wish baby,” he said kissing my forehead.
“Thank you, Logan, good night,” I said kissing his cheek.
“Good night love,” he said and both of us falls asleep.
*Better talk to mom about it* was the last thought in my mind before I fall asleep.
(At night Aana P.O.V)
When we go to our room after dinner I got to the washroom to take a shower and get in comfortable clothes. I walk out of the washroom and to see him talking on the phone discussing new business
strategies with someone. I tiptoe to Alex and hug him from behind. After completing the call he turns in my arm and holds me close to himself.
“What’s up with you Aana you looking too much happy after spending some girl time with Erika and Ankho?” he asks putting his forehead on mine.
“I have a gift for you, but to receive it you have to take a seat and close your eyes,” I said with a big smile on my face.
“Gift for me but today is nothing special as long as I remember,” he mused.
“Why can’t I give my hubby a gift without any occasion?” I asked pouting.
“No love that’s not what I mean?” he said.
“Then what do you mean?” I ask while folding my hand on my chest and raising my eyebrow.
“I...I...I” he shuttered.
“Just shut up and do as I said,” I said playfully pushing him on the bed.
“Okay,” he said and closed his eyes.
I get out of his arms to walk to my drawer and take out the gift that we have prepared today for him and put it in his hand.
He opens the small box. And another small box appeared from it. As he opens the second box another small box appeared from it and he gives me a ′ are you kidding me ′ look.
“Just open it already,” I tell him annoyingly.
*God this mood swim is getting to me.* I thought. He opened it which is stuffed with cotton. He takes out the cotton from the boxes to see newborn baby shoes with a pregnancy result.
He puts it aside and looks at the ultrasound and he flips it away. He takes the envelope and the card out of it and reads it and his face light up with a million-watt smile.
“You’re pregnant?” he asks and I nodded at him with my own smile.
He swept me away from the ground and spin me around. I laugh at his antics while putting my hands around his arms making sure that I didn’t fall down.
“When did you find out about it?” he asks me while putting me down gently.
“Today afternoon,” I said while recovering from the spin.
“You made me the happiest person in the world, let’s go and tell everyone,” he said taking my hand and walking towards the door. But I stop him in the midway.
“Wait,” I said
“What’s wrong are you okay? Is the baby okay?” he asked getting worried about us.
“Yes we were okay don’t worry about us, it’s 11 in the night everybody must have fallen asleep by now. We should go to sleep too. We will tell them the good news in the morning okay.”
“Okay,” he said and we walk back to our room and go to sleep after snuggling closer to each other.
