I was standing there like a nervous wreck. I couldn’t control my hand and legs from shaking. I was so tense yet very excited at the same time. I’ve been waiting for this day to happen. To officially make her mine.
I dug my hand inside my pocket and took my handkerchief out. I wipe my forehead and my neck again. I was sweating profusely. I couldn’t control my nerves which are getting high from my nervousness. The lump in my throat is getting worse. I took a deep breath and tried to relax.
I was afraid that I couldn’t be able to express my feeling for her in words. That Iwouldstartt shuttering in front of all our guests and make fun of myself.
OH GOD...HELP ME PLEASE!
I was a very confident man and always in control of myself. I mastered talking and giving a long speech in a crowd. I often speak in the vampire council, global business conference, mixed species conference, entrepreneur discussion and even debates in many different languages.
BUT when it comes to Erika......... I shutters. My tongue gets twisted and my words get jumbled whenever I talk about my feeling to her. Maybe because of her cheery blossom smell that I lost my control over myself and just to make love with her o maybe her eyes...I get lost whenever I stared at her green emerald eyes.
“Relax teme, you are going to marry not going on war with that snake monster again” Jay my best man said.
“Shut up dobe,” I said hitting his head.
I look everywhere to see people sitting in the table while talking with each other waiting for Erika to come so that the father can begin our wedding ceremony.
My eyes suddenly focused on Alisha, who was walking down the aisle, carrying the ring bearer pillow. She looks so adorable wearing her small white dress. She is the only person Erika let to wear a white dress in their group expect her. I was sure many boys will fight each other to get her attention when she grows up. Then suddenly the feeling of protectiveness overwhelmed me. There will be no way I will ever let any boy or man come near to my girls.
When she almost reached the altar, I scope her in my arms and hugged her. I kissed her forehead before placing her on her assigned seat. The music suddenly stopped. Everyone stood up and get excited- smiling, giggling and looked at the back door of the resort.
My heartbeat raced faster, getting so excited to see Erika and at the same time nervous. The intro song Take my hand started playing and the back door of the resort open.
The moment I see Erika I see my inside melted.
She looks so beautiful, standing there in a white dress. I was speechless. How the hell I become so lucky to have her as my bride and wife is the only question running in my mind.
Avis gives her hand in my hand, all guest started clapping and then take their seat. I take her hand to my lips and give her hand a lingering kiss.
“We are gathered here today for holy matrimony on this holy and beautiful spring morning to join to gather these two souls, Logan Ellwood, and Erika Black. Before we begin with the wedding ceremony, I have been informed that we have a very beautiful song selection by none other than the bride’s brother Avis himself. ” The priest said.
Avis walk to the music stage takes a guitar from one of the musicians and takes a seat.
“I dedicate this song to my sister and brother in law and someone very special. ” He said the last two words looking at Anko with a big smile.
Between the song, Avis sings apart looking at me with a smile and I nodded at him with a smile because I can understand his condition very well. I look at Erika to see her raising her eyebrow at me and I just smile at her which she returns with her own smile.
When Avis completes the song everyone cheered for him, applauded him and patted his back. After that, we got back to us to the main event.
“Now we should go back to the ceremony, ” The priest said and started the ceremony.
“To the dear couple here today, you are surrounded by your friends and family, all of whom gathered here to witness your marriage and to share your joy of this special occasion. Today as you join yourself in the marriage, there is a vast and unknown future stretching out before you. The possibilities and potentials of your married life are great, and now fell upon the shoulders, the task of choosing your values and making your dreams come true. Through your commitment to each other, may you grow and nature the love that makes both of you better people. A love that continues to give you greater joy, and also the passion for living that provides you and energies and patience to face the responsibilities of life.” He said and I look at him puzzled. I guess Erika find my uneasiness so she answered the question in a whisper.
“I know what you are thinking why did n’t father directly going towards the vows. In real life, it is a long prosses but to complete it in short in movies they directly go to vows and in real life we can’t do that so you have to wait for some time” she said with a sweet time.
“Oh” is the only word I manage to take out of my mouth. Damn it! Why can’t they directly go to the vows I can’t wait for it to finish and take her in my arms and kissed her.
I was about to say father to go directly when Erika lightly jerk my hand to have my attention and shake her head at me like she knows what was I about to do. Oh, she knows me too well. I giver an apologetic smile which she returns with her own smile.
“When you love someone you don’t love them all the time, in exactly the same way, from the moment and moment. Such is an impossibility, and even a lie to pretend to. “In the wedding ceremony couple exchange the ring as a promise to love, cherish, protect and support each other in good and the bad time. The wedding ring is to be placed in the fourth finger in the left hand because it's connected to your heart directly. When they place the ring on that finger after taking their vows, it connects the heart of the couple with each other ” The priest said.
“Did anyone had any objection regarding their wedding if yes then have then come forward now or keep peace in for the rest of their life. ” The priest asks them and nobody comes forward.
“Do you want me to make you take vows or you want to do it by yourself.” He asks us.
“We want to do it by ourselves self” I and Erika both said together. I take both of her hands in my hands and look in her eyes intently.
“Erika my love. I have fallen in love with you when I saw you the first time since then I can’t able to take you out of my mind. You are and you will be the only girl for me. You are the one who brings light in my life since the day you come into my life. I love then, now and forever to the square of infinity. I promise you to try my best to become a good husband to you.
I promise you to love you, protect you, cherish you, support you in your every decision, catch you when you fall, comfort you when you cry, to help you to accomplish your dream and stay by your side in any and every condition. I promise you to be yours always. From now on you are my only priority. Everything I am and everything I have is yours, from this moment forth and for eternity. Till the death do us apart.”
“Logan you are the only one for me and for eternity. I love you and will love to the moon and back. My love for you will never fade away but it will always get brighter and brighter with the passage of time.
I promise to love you, cherish you, support you, respect you, encourage you, and comfort you in the good and the bad time. I promise you to stand by your side and face every problem that the world throws at us with you and grow old with you. Alisha walks to us with our ring and we both exchange the ring.
“In the presence of all the people here and the god, with authority provided to me by God, I officially announce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride.” The priest said and that is all I need to do what I want.
