The Chosen Luna: Alpha’s Unwanted Daughter

Chapter 790

Ch. 780 / 790 May 05, 2026

The lively atmosphere of the celebration vanished in an instant. The room fell silent as the doors slammed open, revealing a tall, imposing man silhouetted by the moonlight. His presence was magnetic and terrifying, his aura so intense that even the strongest wolves instinctively lowered their heads.

Rosalie froze, her hand still resting in Alec’s as her heart pounded against her ribcage. The man stepped forward, his movements deliberate and commanding. His sharp, dark eyes swept across the crowd, assessing them like they were insignificant obstacles in his path. The tension in the air was suffocating.

Kael was the first to recover. He stepped forward, his Alpha presence flaring to protect his pack. “Who are you?” Kael demanded, his voice sharp and unyielding.

The man’s lips curved into a cold smirk, but he didn’t answer Kael. Instead, his piercing gaze locked onto Rosalie, and something flickered in his expression—something possessive, almost primal.

Alec immediately moved in front of Rosalie, his shoulders squared and his body rigid with tension. “If you’ve come to threaten her, you’ll have to go through me first,” Alec growled, his voice firm.

The man didn’t even spare Alec a glance. He took another step forward, his focus entirely on Rosalie. His presence seemed to drown out everything else in the room.

“Rosalie,” he said, his voice low but carrying a weight that made her breath hitch. “I’ve come to take what rightfully belongs to me.”

The crowd erupted in murmurs, confusion rippling through the pack like wildfire. Who was this man? What did he mean?

Kael’s eyes burned with fury as he stepped beside Alec, his stance protective. “If you think you can walk into my packhouse and lay claim to my daughter, you’ve made a grave mistake.”

The man finally turned his attention to Kael, his expression one of mild amusement. “You must be Kael. The Alpha of Crescent Howl,” he said, his tone calm but laced with condescension. “I expected more from someone of your reputation.”

Kael bristled, his claws extending slightly. Bella moved to his side, her hand resting on his arm in a silent plea for restraint.

“Who are you?” Bella asked, her voice firm but measured. “And what do you want with our daughter?”

The man’s eyes flicked to Bella, and for a moment, his expression softened. “I owe you thanks,” he said, inclining his head slightly. “You’ve done well raising her. But Rosalie was never yours to keep.”

Rosalie’s blood ran cold at his words. She stepped out from behind Alec, her voice trembling but defiant. “What are you talking about? Who are you?”

The man’s gaze softened as he looked at her, a strange mixture of affection and authority in his eyes. “You’ve grown into exactly what I hoped you would be,” he said, his voice almost reverent. “Strong. Resilient. A queen worthy of her throne.”

Rosalie shook her head, taking a step back. “You’re not making any sense. Who are you, and why are you saying these things?”

He smiled, though it didn’t reach his eyes. “You’ll remember in time,” he said cryptically. “But for now, all you need to know is that I’m here to take you home.”

Alec growled, stepping forward. “She’s not going anywhere with you.”

The man’s expression darkened, and a powerful surge of energy rippled through the room, silencing everyone. Even Kael faltered under the sheer weight of the man’s presence.

“I did not come here to negotiate,” the man said, his voice colder now. “I came to reclaim what is mine.”

Rosalie’s heart raced as she stared at him, a strange sensation tugging at the edges of her mind. There was something eerily familiar about him, something that made her both fearful and curious.

“You can’t just walk in here and make demands,” Kael said, regaining his composure. His voice was firm, but even he couldn’t deny the unease that had settled over him. “Rosalie is my daughter, and she’s under my protection.”

The man chuckled darkly. “Your daughter?” he repeated, his tone mocking. “Do you truly believe that?”

Kael’s growl reverberated through the room, but before he could respond, the man turned back to Rosalie.

“You’ve felt it, haven’t you?” he asked her, his tone softening again. “The pull. The whispers in your dreams. You’ve always known you were meant for more than this.”

Rosalie’s breath hitched. The dreams. The whispers. The strange, magnetic pull she’d felt for weeks. How could he know about those?

She took another step back, shaking her head. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

“You will,” he replied, his gaze unwavering.

The room was deathly silent as he closed the distance between them. Kael and Alec both tensed, ready to intervene, but the man’s sheer presence seemed to root them in place.

He stopped just in front of her, his towering frame making her feel small yet oddly captivated. He reached out, his hand hovering near her cheek but not touching her.

“You are mine, Rosalie,” he said, his voice low and commanding. “My wife. My queen. I’ve come to take you home.”
