CHAPTER 41 - HEINRICH HYACINTH COMES TO VISITIt was after noon.
Harriet's arms that were holding onto the headboard were shaking, and so were her thighs and knees that were resting on the bed.
“Milord, I beg you–”
"Just a little more, Madam," whispered Liam who was still pounding her waist, thrusting from behind.
“You have… said that… five times alread–aah–angh–”
“Uhm–” Liam finished and spilled the remnants of his seed inside. "Hm-"
"Oh..." it was warm. This was the last warmth Liam gave her today.
Liam lifted her up, giving her a soft kiss from the side.
"Done?" asked Harriet weakly.
"Done," Liam kissed her cheek again, laying her on the bed. At the same time, Harriet was writhing and her legs felt limp, soft shivers running down her body.
The man caught his breath and stood up, intending to get a towel. He thought that his aching body this morning would stop him from torturing his wife's body, but oh how wrong he was. And now he felt surprisingly refreshed.
"Milord?" Harriet called out to him in a small voice.
"Mm, I'm here," replied Liam, who was rummaging through Harriet's drawer, while trying to put his trousers back on.
"The towels are in that drawer over there," said Harriet, forcing herself to get up. The woman moaned softly, feeling her sore and red waist. Liam gripped her waist too tightly, as usual.
"Okay," Liam found some towels and brought them closer for Harriet. The man patiently wiped Harriet's body. Between her thighs, back and waist, and down again to her calves.
"Milord, I'm tired now..." Harriet said realizing Liam was looking at her with lust in his eyes again.
"I know," Liam blinked and looked at Harriet innocently. He also knew that if Harriet wasn't physically fit, she must have had a hard time getting out of bed for a few days because of his treatment.
Moreover, Harriet was not his mate.
"I can help you bathe," Liam said softly.
Harriet who heard his sincere words blushed slowly.
“If we go out and bathe now, everyone will know what we just did…” whispered Harriet.
"Everyone knows," Liam gently massaged Harriet's waist, slightly trying to help his wife ease the pain.
Harriet furrowed her brows sharply at Liam's words.
Seeing that, Liam smiled helplessly and explained to Harriet. Several times, he had heard some maids passing by in front of their room running away after hearing the sounds of their lovemaking from inside.
Not only the maid, but Daniel, who was approaching a few meters from the door immediately turned away because his Lycan sense of hearing was sharper than that of an ordinary human.
Amelia had appeared and Daniel prevented her from approaching. Even Heath immediately turned away from a few dozen meters away because he was an Alpha and could hear and smell them doing the–
"Stop, just stop," Harriet raised one hand. Her face reddened at Liam's explanation. She wanted to dig a hole and dive into it right now, and buried herself in it.
Meanwhile, Liam just laughed blankly with a guilty look on his face. He knew he had gone too far this time. This was because Harriet had called his name once the first time he climaxed.
He wanted to hear Harriet call his name again, but she didn't do it again until the end. Liam didn't ask for it either because he felt…
Well… he felt like he would go crazy if Harriet did it again.
Harriet blamed herself for falling for Liam's temptation. It was daytime, and they had been doing it for quite a while–
Harriet realized when she looked at the longcase clock on the side of the room. They had been doing it for almost three hours. Gosh!
“Uhm… aren't you tired?” Harriet looked at Liam worriedly, which made Liam chuckle.
"Would Madam like to do more until I'm tired?" Liam teased.
Harriet blushed and got under the covers. She turned away from Liam in annoyance.
“Looks like your stamina is really boundless,” she muttered in irritation.
Liam felt that she was too cute, and his cheeks began to blush slightly. The man hugged his wife from behind.
"Can Madam please start talking more casually to me?" Liam asked softly.
Harriet blushed even more. She remembered that she called Liam's name in the middle of her climax earlier. She couldn't believe she did it. “Milord wants me to speak more casually?”
Liam nodded.
"Okay, I'll talk to you more casually, Milord," said Harriet softly.
Liam secretly smiled.
The two of them enjoyed the silence for a moment, and Liam slowly started kissing Harriet's nape again.
"Milord," Harriet warned him again.
"Aww, alright. I'll call the maids to ask them to prepare warm water," the man said, getting out of bed and about to leave when Harriet suddenly grabbed his arm.
Harriet kissed Liam's lips softly.
"I love you, Milord."
Liam looked deeply at Harriet and furrowed his brows.
“Madam, just once again… okay?” he whispered and leaned back against Harriet on the bed.
Harriet looked at Liam incredulously, but the man was really serious.
"But…"
"I promise this is the last one.”
“...” Harriet narrowed her eyes in distrust. "...you lied."
***
Ezekiel walked down the steps of the palace's main front door. He saw a man with black hair sitting on a red horse and dismounted when he saw Ezekiel appear.
Ezekiel put a hand on his chest and nodded respectfully.
"Crown Prince, Heinrich Hyacinth," he greeted.
The black-haired man bowed his body respectfully.
“Imperial Crown Prince, Ezekiel Euclase,” the man greeted back, with a perfectly warm smile.
Ezekiel's brows twitched at the man's smile. The way he smiled… it reminded him of someone.
“Welcome to the Euclase Empire,” said Ezekiel.
“Thank you for welcoming me here,” Heinrich replied. The man turned his head towards the horse carriage that had stopped behind him. With one movement of his hand, he asked a servant to open the carriage door.
A young man with short black hair, and a face similar to Heinrich's, but a different color to his brother's eyes, appeared and got off the carriage.
Everyone could see that his right arm had been severed and was tightly bandaged. However, the arm was also hidden under the robe after the young man straightened himself.
"Where should I take my brother to serve his sentence?" asked Heinrich as a matter-of-factly.
Ezekiel felt increasingly uncomfortable with the atmosphere Heinrich created around him. This man kept reminding him of that woman. The way they could look so composed under any situation and still show a perfect smile... he didn't like it.
“You have to drive north. I'll take you there," replied Ezekiel. The man advised Heinrich to rest for a while at the Imperial Castle before leaving for the North, and Heinrich agreed.
“Oh, right. I must greet His Majesty the Emperor, Axias,” Heinrich said politely.
"No need," said Ezekiel. “I've been assigned to take care of all your needs here, and the Emperor has decided not to see you, out of respect to our agreement with the Goldlane, Almandine, and Amaryllis Families.”
Heinrich raised his eyebrows. He didn’t understand what Ezekiel meant by his words just now. "Out of respect?"
Ezekiel nodded. He explained, "We handed over full responsibility for this matter into the hands of the Northern Lords and their families.”
"So we can't even greet the Emperor?" Heinrich asked.
“Correct,” Ezekiel nodded and said firmly, “Because we don't want people to misunderstand and think that you might persuade and make a deal with the Emperor to save your brother from the punishment of the Northern Lords.”
In that second, Heinrich could understand many things.
“The Northern Lords, huh?” he muttered with a gentle smile.
