The Alpha Triplets and the Rogue

466 Depths Of Betrayal

Ch. 466 / 580 Jan 28, 2026

Edward POV

Macy didn't return last night, and neither did Winston. I couldn't bring myself to go after them, not after the lies that I told. Macy will never forgive me when she finds out what I have done. I have officially driven her into the arms of someone who is better for her than me. He clearly loves her. He saw all the parts of her I couldn't see until it was far too late. I should let her go, but I know I won't. I need her too badly. She makes me better.

I am pacing the floor when the door creaks open. Macy slips inside silently, dragging her massive wings behind her. She freezes when she sees me. "I wasn't expecting you to be awake."

"I couldn't sleep," I reply. "I am sorry about yesterday."

"It is going to take more than that to make up for yesterday. What has gotten into you?" She crosses her arms over her chest, waiting for an answer.

"It has been longer for us than it has for you," I remind her. "When I saw you with another man, I felt a rage I have never felt before. I let my jealousy blind me."

Her eyes are bluer than I remember, and her hair is darker. It has lost the gentle curl that it used to have and hangs straight down her back. The black wings are a new addition, making her look fierce. Her skin has lost every freckle and blemish, and her lips are bright red. Cocking my head to the side, I look closely at her nose. The spray of freckles I loved so much is gone, too.

She moves past me in the room, stripping off the other man's shirt. She drops it to the floor and disappears behind a door in the corner of the room. She didn't bother to acknowledge what I said to her. The sound of running water fills the room, and my feet carry me into the bathroom.

Steam has already filled the small room, but I can see her outline in the shower. She is perfection. I have to come clean. She deserves to know the truth.

"Macy," I call out to her. "We need to talk."

"What is there to talk about?" She replies. "We have both made mistakes. If we truly love each other, we should be able to move past it."

A lump forms in my throat, and I can't swallow it down. The guilt of what I promised the Moon Goddess is suffocating me. She claims she loves me, but will she still do so after she finds out just how deep my betrayal goes?

"Where is Winston?" I quickly change the subject.

"How should I know?" she replies.

"If you weren't with him all night, where were you?" I demand to know.

"With Destin," she doesn't even try to skate around the truth.

I bite back the hateful words I want to say to her. I want to call her a whore and tell her she is a disgrace of a mate, but those are only words of anger. She is none of those things. If she had betrayed the bond, I would have felt it. I don't need to accuse her of cheating when I know she is innocent.

"I don't like him," I say instead.

"I am sorry you feel that way," she replies. "He is a nice guy."

Macy steps from the shower, and my cock springs to life. Every inch of her is dripping with water, and I want to lick each droplet off her skin. She doesn't seem to notice my stare, or she doesn't care. I can bring myself to go to her knowing I am keeping an awful secret from her. The longer I keep it from her, the worse the fallout will be.

"I gave something to the Moon Goddess to get through the portal," I say quickly.

Macy's eyes narrow, and she waits for me to tell her what I gave up.

"I was desperate," I begin. "We had already been apart from you for so long. I was willing to do anything to get to you."

"What did you do?" She asks. Her voice is trembling. She already knows I have betrayed her.

"We will find a way around this," I tell her. "There has to be a way to undo what I have done."

"Edward," she snaps. "Tell me what you gave her."

"Our firstborn," I whisper.

Her eyes widen, and she braces herself against the wall. I take a single step in her direction, and she immediately steps back. "Get out," she mumbles.

"No," I protest. "We can work through this. You said it yourself. We have both made mistakes."

"I was wrong. This isn't a mistake that can be forgiven," she responds flatly.

"Don't say that, Crazy," I beg her. "I only did it so we could be together."

"Did Winston agree to this?" She asks.

I could lie. I could tell her that Winston is on my side. He wouldn't be able to defend himself. I could take him down with me, but I don't. He has already sacrificed so much to be with Macy. I can't ruin him along with me.

"Selene had already taken his voice," I confess. "This was my choice alone."

"Leave," she says coldly.

"Crazy, please."

"Don't call me that," she hisses at me.

My chest feels heavy, and it is difficult to breathe. She is angrier than I expected her to be. I honestly thought she would understand my urgency to get to her.

"What would you have done differently?" I growl in anger. I know my anger is misdirected, but I cannot control it.

"You gave away our child before it breathes its first breath. Before it has even been conceived. How would you ever think that is something I would be okay with?" She shouts.

"I thought you would understand just how desperate I was to get to you," I shout.

"You were thinking of yourself!"

"That isn't fair. I love you," I whimper.

"No," she wraps her wings around her bare body. "You only love yourself."

Her head is held high, and she doesn't look away from me. She is going to stand her ground on this.

"What can I do to make this right?" I plead.

"We are back at square one," Macy says coldly. "You have lost my trust."

"What about Winston?" I ask.

She throws her head back and laughs. "What about him? He hasn't betrayed me like you have, Edward. He is still in my good graces."
