Sophie (two weeks later)
We were getting closer to Christmas. During the weekend, Logan and Nate helped decorate the whole house, and we decorated the Christmas tree with Kenzie's help. The place looked beautiful, every detail was exactly how I imagined it.
I woke up feeling like the luckiest girl in the world. Logan stirred in his sleep as I moved his hand away from my waist. I turned, kissing him on his lips getting a smile in return.
"I love you, dork," I said kissing him again and going straight to the restroom. I went for a quick shower, brushed my teeth, placed on comfy clothes, and began my day. It was still a bit of a struggle because of my cast, but little by little I began to adjust.
I made breakfast for my two favorite men, woke up Nate, and got him ready for his last week of school before we went off to Christmas and New Year's break. By the time I came down to finish breakfast, Logan was sitting down enjoying his breakfast coffee, dressed in a tie and suit. "Good morning, baby," I say as I wrap my arms around him from behind, kiss him on his neck, and grab his coffee, taking a sip from it.
"There's my girl. Hey buddy! Good morning." he replies and smiles at Nate.
"Good morning," Nate replies, still groggy. He's usually a morning person, but I guess he was still tired from last night.
"Mom, it's snowing outside, do I really have to go to school?" he complaints giving me his pouty face. I smile, and kiss his cheek, walking towards the other side of the kitchen island and grabbing his plate. "Yes, you do. You'll be fine baby, besides, it's just one m9re week before winter break. So, unless the school says otherwise, you have to go to school." he groans, earning a ruffle on his hair by Logan.
"Cheer up bud. I got a big surprise for you guys when the week is over. Make sure you have the passports in hand babe, we'll need them at the gate if we don't want to be held back." Logan says as he takes a sip from his coffee and grabs a fork full of pancakes.
Logan and I decided to make good use of those tickets he earned at the auction and buy an extra ticket for Nate. We were going to spend New Year's in Dubai, leaving the day after Christmas.
We sat together, and had breakfast as we both talked about the weekend., and how fun it was to put up all the decorations. Logan laughed when he reminisced about the time he almost fell off the roof hanging up the lights. Thankfully, my brother Jason was up there with him and pulled him up.
I can't help but think about Kenzie and Kaitlyn's situation though.
I truly hope Michael comes through for Amber and Kenzie in the near future. Kenzie really needs him, and I know he'll love having her in his life.
I know Amber and I didn't see eye to eye in high school, but I mean the best for her and her daughter. Everyone deserves the chance to change and become a better version of themselves, hell, even Roxanne deserves a chance to redeem herself and change her toxic ways.
We finished breakfast and drove Nate to school. I was working from home for the most part and only went to the studio if needed. I had hired more photographers and both Lexie and Nancy were managing the studio on their own.
"Have a good day at school baby. I love you." I said as I kiss Nate on his cheek and lead him to the entrance to the school.
"Bye, mom you too. I love you. Bye, Dad." he calls out to Logan who is waiting for me in the car. Just as I was going to turn, I see a cute little girl with big brown eyes and dark hair made into a messy bun. She looked so adorable.
"Hi, Mia," Nate says getting blushed. She smiles back and looks down, "Hi, Nate." she responded, and it hit me, this was the Mia that Nate had told Logan he had a crush on.
I smiled, feeling a ping in my heart from how cute they looked walking together.
I got back in the car and smiled, Logan looked at me with a smile, reaching over and kissing my lips.
"Hey, so... I was hoping we could have dinner together, just you know...the two of us. What do you say?" he suggests, making me think back to the words he said last night.
"Umm, but it's a school night, baby. What about Nate?"
"We can have your dad look after him. Or my mom, whatever. What do you say?" he winks at me, giving me that signature smile of his that always makes me melt.
I smiled, biting my bottom lip and getting closer to him. "I'd love to. What did you have in mind?" I ask as I kiss his lips and then place my seatbelt on. He turns the car back on and we head out of the school parking lot.
"Oh, I have something good in mind, alright," he says with a mischievous smile and stops at the stop sign before making a turn.
"I'm sure you do." I say as I bite my lip and smile. He chuckles, and I swear I saw him blushing.
He grabs my hand, kissing the back of my hand and smiling. "I love you, you know that right?" he says in a low husky voice making me smile.
"I love you too, Logan. Always have."
He smiles, taking a long sigh and biting his lip. "I don't know what you do to me, Soph. But you make me fall in love with you more and more each day." he says making the butterflies in my stomach flutter uncontrollably. I don't know what is it about this man.
Sure, he can be a hothead sometimes. His temper can go from the sweetest guy to the beast that everyone dared not mess with in high school and more, but to me... He'll always be my Logan, my protector, my comfort zone, my one and true love.
Whatever it is that he has in mind, I'm sure I'll love it. He's not just romantic, but he's so spontaneous and never fails to surprise me. I can't wait for tonight to finally have some alone time with him.
