Lisa's P.O. V.
I pushed the door open, smiling as Chris was still buried deep inside Layla. Using my best acting skills, I gasped as if this was the first I was seeing this. I placed my hand over my hand, and looked as hurt as I could. Chris didn't stop, not even when he saw his father in the doorway.
"I'll be down when I'm done, Dad," Chris told him, thrusting into Layla harder.
I couldn't believe what I had just heard. My eyes quickly locked with Daniel's, looking at him utterly dumbfounded. He looked at me guiltily as he pulled me out of the room, closing the door behind us.
"Aren't you going to do anything? He's fucking the damn maid!" I yelled, utterly outraged.
"We all fuck our maids, that's what they're there for. Don't act so surprised, Lisa. If you didn't know this already, then your father did a very good job of hiding his affairs."
His words stung as I thought back to my childhood. I remembered our maid Tonya spending a long time in Dad's office when it was time to clean it. I just thought Dad kept his office very dirty, but God was I an idiot. I couldn't hold it back anymore, running to the nearest bathroom, and emptying the juice I had just drunk in the kitchen. Daniel watched me from the doorway as I flushed the toilet and rinsed my mouth.
"I'm sorry, Lisa. I thought you knew." When his eyes next met mine they softened. "I am sure this hurt, but on the bright side you know that you can fool around, too."
I shook my head, not able to believe what he was telling me. What if I had actually loved Chris? What if he was a good guy and I had fallen for him? This would have broken me, and he would have been okay with it. He thinks it's okay because I can be unfaithful, too. What absolute crap is that?
"I'm not like that!" I shook my head, but I guess I am, seeing as I'm technically engaged to Chris, but having sex with Davis.
"We're all like that. We all have a carnal need, one we need to satisfy. Humans aren't meant to be monogamous. I think you know that, Lisa," he said, stepping into the bathroom, and closing the door behind him.
"What are you doing?" I asked him as panic rose in me when I heard the lock click.
"Satisfying my carnal need. I'm going to help you forget the pain my son just caused you. Don't worry, my dear. I know exactly what I'm doing," he said, stalking his way towards me like I was some sort of prey.
"No, I don't want that. You're his father! What's the matter with the two of you?!" I yelled at him, feeling so disgusted I could throw up again.
"Come now, Lisa. Doesn't the forbiddenness of it just call to you? Sleeping with your future husband's father. It's hot as hell." He smirked wickedly at me, undressing me with his eyes.
"If you come near me I will hurt you. I'm telling you no, so unlock that door and let me out."
"Lisa, it's okay. I am not going to tell him. Just let go and let me take over."
He was on a mission and it was one I would not let him accomplish. I took my stance, the one I used last night on Davis. I'll beat his sorry ass before he ever gets a chance to touch me. Daniel froze for a moment as he noticed my fist held in front of my face. He chuckled at the sight, probably thinking I couldn't do much.
"Lisa, I'm serious. I won't tell Chris. This isn't a test, it's just a deep desire. One I'm sure you feel too."
God, this guy is delusional.
"And I'm telling you that I don't care about that. I don't want to do this with you."
Daniel slowly continued to make his way towards me, trying to close the space between us. When his hand reached for my wrist, I punched his side, hard, the way David taught me. He winced, grabbing his side, seeming surprised by the pain I had brought him. I kicked behind his knee, using his shock to my advantage. He fell to the floor before me, letting me run past him towards the door. Just as I had managed to unlock it, he grabbed my hair, pulling me back to him. All I need to do is get him down again, then I can run out.
I was pulled by the hair into his chest. His arm wrapped around my stomach as his lips grazed my neck. My stomach twisted and I gagged as he kissed my skin.
"Get off me!" I yelled, shoving at his arm around me.
I took a breath, trying to calm my mind and find a way out. I am not used to these kinds of situations, and I could feel my mind panicking. My thoughts were jumbled and it was hard to focus as I tried to remember everything Davis had taught me so far. I pulled my arm up, elbowing Daniel hard in the stomach behind me. His grip loosened around me for a moment, allowing me to turn and face him. I punched him in the throat, not giving him time to recuperate. I then kneed him in the balls and pushed him back.
I ran out of there so fast not looking where I was going. I ran straight into Chris with tears in my eyes. Never did I think I would be happy to see Chris, but in this moment I was. He furrowed his brow as he saw my tears and panicked face. He looked back seeing his dad leave the bathroom.
"You fucking whore. That's my dad!" He yelled, striking me on the face.
I held my cheek surprised by his accusation. I don't know why I keep over estimating his intelligence. Clearly, he can't read a situation correctly to save his life. I pushed past the pain, the anger, the hurt, and ran past him down the stairs and outside. I fiddle with my phone, calling Davis' number. My feet fumbled, almost tripping down the stairs. Thankfully, I caught myself on
the rail. There was an urgent need to escape this place, and be back in Davis' arms. This is hell on earth and I can't survive it.
"Lisa?" Davis' voice echoed from my phone. "I'm coming, open the door for me."
I didn't have to say a word for him to understand that something was wrong. I rushed to the door, opening it and stepping out in the cool morning air. My eyes caught sight of Davis getting off his bike across the street.
My world came crashing down all around me as I witnessed him get hit by a car. He had been looking at me when he crossed, too focused on reaching me. I let out a gut wrenching yell as I ran towards him. Dad's chauffeur was freaking out as he stepped out of the car.
I looked down, seeing Davis bleeding onto the pavement. The tears wouldn't stop as I crouched over him. He was conscious, but just barely. Felix, the chauffeur was calling 911 beside me as I held Davis' hand.
"Lisa, what are you doing?" Dad asked as he finally got out of his car. "Do you know this man?"
I nodded my head, unable to say a word through the tears and sobs that were leaving me.
"Who is he to you?" Dad asked, suspecting something was a miss.
I couldn't answer as I continued to sob. I didn't care that Dad saw me carress Davis lovingly. My hands brushed over his face and his hair tenderly as he fought to stay conscious. I kissed his forehead, being careful not to move him. My hand gripped his tightly, refusing to ever let go.
"Lisa, get away from him before Chris sees," Dad demanded, trying to keep the contract in place. I shook my head at him.
"No!" I finally found my voice again. "You can go in there, but I'm never entering that house again. You can ask them what happened, but it'll be more lies than truth. Do what you will dad. I am not going through with this any longer."
"The hell you're not! I'm not going to lose half my company because of you. You're getting married to Chris whether I have to drag you there by gunpoint or not."
I was going to argue back, but the sound of the ambulance siren caught my ears. My eyes caught sight of it as it came up the hill towards us. The paramedics quickly hopped down, surrounding Davis. They asked me to step back so they could work, letting Dad get the chance to put his hand around my arm and hold me tightly in place. He wasn't going to let me go, but to hell with it if he thought I wouldn't fight to be by Davis' side.
"Are you riding along?" The paramedic asked.
"No," Dad said at the same time I told them "yes."
They looked at the two of us confused, but I pulled my arm out of Dad's grip, stepping forward. I jumped into the back of the ambulance, seeing Dad's red face of anger as they closed the ambulance doors. I know I'm going to pay for this, but I didn't care right now. All my thoughts and worries were solely on Davis right now.
I can't lose him.
