Pregnant After Being Marked By The Dangerous Alpha

Chapter 52

Ch. 52 / 113 Apr 24, 2026

Caitlyn's POV

"Damn it, round them up! If we let them go, we'll be dead for sure!"

Naafiri shook his head with indignation and commanded the other wolves to surround us. The wolves froze in place for a moment, looking at each other. No one dared to take the lead in making a move.

Obviously, the strength Zed displayed just now could not be underestimated, and no one was willing to be the first to act.

"Bunch of losers! No matter how powerful he is, he's just one person. There are so many of us, let's go together!"

Seeing that the situation was turning unfavorable, Naafiri cursed in a low voice.

Then, he reshaped into the form of a giant wolf and pounced towards Zed. Naafiri's move immediately attracted the attention of everyone present, and people stared intently at the battlefield, waiting for Zed's reaction.

Zed still had a breezy smile on his face, seemingly unconcerned about Naafiri's attack. His action completely annoyed Naafiri.

"Go to hell!"

Naafiri opened his mouth and cursed angrily. The hairs on his body stood up, a low growl emanated from his throat, and he revealed his sharp fangs in the blink of an eye, reaching Zed's face.

"Hmph."

Zed stared at the pouncing Naafiri and let out a cold snort, standing still without any intention of avoiding the attack. His five fingers were clenched into a fist, ruthlessly slamming into Naafiri's body.

Boom!

As a low sound spread out, the two attacks clashed together, stirring up dust on the ground. The figures of the two combatants trembled, and Naafiri took a few steps backward.

"Damn!"

Naafiri's face darkened. The man in front of him had actually resisted his attack in a human state, causing his heart to sink violently.

His feet slammed on the ground, and his entire body transformed into a black shadow, sweeping out and rushing towards Zed's belly. Just as his sharp claws were about to make contact with Zed, Zed revealed a trace of an undetectable smile.

"Roar!"

Accompanied by a loud hissing sound, a huge greenish-gray wolf suddenly appeared on the field. Its massive body dodged strangely towards the side, narrowly avoiding yet another of Naafiri's attacks.

A trace of panic flashed across Naafiri's face, and he was about to retreat backward, but it was evidently a bit too late.

Zed had stood still earlier, waiting for Naafiri's melee attack. It was only now that Zed transformed into a giant wolf, indicating that all of this was within his calculations.

Zed's body erupted with a burst of intense power, directly penetrating Naafiri's defense and landing hard on top of his chest.

"Pfft!"

As that powerful force unfolded, it shook Naafiri out, and under the gaze of many onlookers, he fell heavily to the ground. A mouthful of blood couldn't help but spurt out immediately.

The battle was short-lived; within a few breaths, Naafiri was completely defeated. This result also made the other werewolves hesitant to act rashly again. They glanced at Zed in horror before fleeing outward without looking back.

I was a bit shocked as I watched what was happening in front of me. Just at that moment, Kaisa furrowed her brows violently, suddenly thinking of something, and shouted towards Zed.

"Don't let them go; if you let them leave, they will definitely plot the next time..."

"It's fine. Don't worry."

A confident smile appeared on Zed's face as he nodded towards Kaisa. Just as Zed finished speaking, there was an uproar of screams from the outskirts of the forest.

I looked at the man with the harmless smile in front of me, and for the first time, I felt a bit of panic inside.

"Thank you."

I didn't know if it was because of the injury or being frightened by the scene in front of me, but Kaisa's face was a bit pale, and her voice was slightly trembling as she speaks.

"It's okay."

Zed smiled and waved his hand, then slowly walked over to me. Seemingly sensing something, Zed frowned.

I was a bit uneasy under Zed's gaze and was about to speak when suddenly the little white fox burrowed out of my arms.

It poked its head out, sniffed around for a few moments, then looked towards Zed in front of it. After a short hesitation, it jumped from my arms to Zed's and rubbed against his arm in a pouty manner.

"Little white fox!"

Seeing this scene, I couldn't help but shout. But the little white fox was somewhat unmoved, even squinting and rolling up its belly in Zed's arms, waiting for his caress.

"I didn't realize that this little gadget really exists and that it likes us."

Zed ran his hand over the little white fox's head as it purred in comfort.

"Us?" Zed's words made me wonder for a moment if I'd misheard him.

"Did you tame it very easily?" Zed's words made me freeze for a moment, then nod blankly.

"Did you grow up feeling that creatures were drawn to you, even those around you, unconsciously attracted to you?"

"Well... it seems so." A confident smile spread across Zed's face as he watched me nod obediently.

"What do you mean?"

"Nothing. I'm just checking to make sure you're the one I'm looking for." Zed finished twisting around and waved his hand in the distance. I looked sideways and noticed a few people standing on the edge not far away. They were wearing uniform clothing and were obviously from the same pack as Zed.

"Here you are. It looks like you won this hunting contest. Can I ask what you would ask the king for?" Zed handed the little white fox back to me, while it twisted its body in the air, seemingly a bit reluctant to let go.

"You didn't finish answering my question. What the hell did you just say? What exactly is your agenda?" I looked at Zed warily, waiting for his answer.

"Now is not the time to tell you, but I can assure you that I will ensure your safety. Even if the king wants to touch you, I'm afraid he'll have to consider the consequences first." Zed responded with a smile, a hint of sarcasm in his tone when he spoke of the king.

"You're from the Fullmoon pack?" Kaisa, who hadn't said anything for a long time, suddenly spoke up and asked.

Zed visibly froze for a moment, his eyes revealing a hint of surprise before he smiled and nodded. "You're very smart. I didn't think you could even guess this."

"It's nothing. I don't think there are many packs that can speak about the king with such confidence, not to mention the obvious markings on your clothes. It's just that..." Kaisa's face was calm as she stared at the pack crest on Zed's chest and said softly.

"What?" Zed raised an eyebrow, a little curious about Kaisa's next words.

"I'm just a little curious as to the reason you came to the hunting tournament. I'm afraid it was not just for a promise from the king, right?"

"Of course not, but allow me to keep that a secret." Zed narrowed his eyes and didn't answer Kaisa's words head-on, but his last look rested on mine, making me twist my face aside in some discomfort.
