Dimple's POV
It was the third time that I was going to marry, my whole life's memory was running in a flash in front of my eyes that how my life fell to hell. How happy I used to be in schools and colleges, my parents were not like this, running after money and fake royalty. And when I came after completing my education, I gave up everything to lighten the burden of my father, but in the end, I, myself became a burden to everyone.
A wedding pavilion was set up, I and that old man were sitting in the pavilion surrounded by my parents and two of his guards, no more people were invited, it was a secret ceremony as my parents wanted to get rid of me as soon as possible and also they didn't want to show others what they were doing to me, so the ceremony was happening in our home to avoid any kind of news.
Although I have agreed to marry him, for the sake of my sister and her child's life, I was still a girl, I also had feelings, I also had emotions, I'm not a doll but a living human, how couldn't I be scared of what was happening to me?
The way that man was looking at me while bitting the corner of his lips, was giving me goosebumps. He was looking like a hungry wolf who was impatiently waiting for his prey. I was literally shivering, my body was chilled, but I was continued sitting beside him while the priest was reciting the hymn.
Just when I thought that there was no hope left for me and that I was helpless, abandoned, and ill-fated, the door pushed open with a 'bang' sound. No one could help to turn in the direction of the sound including me.
A man in navy blue shirt and black pant with a pair of cold eyes was standing at the door, my father frowned and called
“ A, Arav what are you doing here? ” My father asked while stuttering, he must have hidden it from him, and to my guess, it would be Twinkle's idea.
“ The question should be asked by me, what the hell is going here? ” he yelled while clenching his fists.
“ Ah, we will tell you later, if you have already come here then join the wedding of your sister-in-law and.. ” my father hesitated to say anything after receiving a cold glare from him, while he walked up to us in just three steps and pulled up the man sitting beside me just to look at his face. As expected, his eyes opened up widely in shock after seeing the man, he clenched his fists and threw him aside.
“ Ah... ” that old man moaned, I guess his two or three bones would have cracked by him, soon after his guards rushed towards Arav, but he kicked at one of them and gave a punch to the other one whereas his eyes were continued gazing at me. When he was done with them, he removed the veil from me and asked with cold eyes, “ You are marrying this old bastard, just what did you see in him? ”
As if I had any option, but I chose to not reply.
“ Hey, young man, don't brainwash my bride, ah, it hurts ” the old man yelled while holding his waist whereas Arav glared at him with cold eyes, then again looked at me.
“ Get up,” he said while I skipped a beat.
“ Hey, Arav, what are you doing, don't forget that you are only her brother-in-law.. ”
“ Get up, Dimple ”
he cut off my father's word and said while holding my hands. I was still in dilemma, it's not that I didn't want to run off from the marriage but if I did so, then it meant that I was destroying my sister's marriage life that I didn't want to do, so I continued sitting there, however, my body was shivering out of fear. But, I was stubbornly rejecting his kind gesture towards me. He then glared at me with cold eyes and picked me up in his arm while I continued struggling
“ Put me down, ”
“ What are you doing? ”
“ Let go of me ”
But he had no effect on my words while my father was enraged.
“ What are you doing Arav, don't forget that we are her parents, and she had no objection with the marriage, then who are you to call off the marriage, huh, what right you have on her? Put her down, Now ”
my father yelled at him while he looked up at him coldly, saying “ You guys are calling yourselves her parents, but it seems like you are her dealers, and what did you say, what right I have on her? Then let me tell you, out of all the people present here, I have the most right on her, she is my women, ”
My parents exchanged a glance with each other and then looked back at him with confused eyes while he smiled sarcastically and said, “ It seems like your daughter didn't tell you, I was the man in that pictures, and now I'm taking what is mine and you people can't stop me ”
he said coldly and then looked gently at me. I don't know what was in his gaze that subconsciously I stopped struggling in his arms. If the truth came out in front of my parents on some other days, I would feel ashamed of myself but after seeing what they were doing with me, I wasn't ashamed at all, however, felt guilty for Twinkle who was standing beside my mother, almost expressionless, whereas my father's eyes were red out of anger.
‘ Sorry Twinkle, I failed you ’
I said in my mind as I tried so much to be calm and marry that old man, but the truth was I was scared to death and after seeing Arav to my rescue, I couldn't help running away from this unwanted marriage, moreover, his gentle gaze, his tenderness while holding me in his arm, was making me feel safe in his arms and I wanted to stay there, even if it was for a little time, but I wanted to calm myself.
