I packed my things as soon as I got to my apartment. We will be staying for two nights so I enough clothes for 3 days. I took a shower again because my whole body smells after in a kitchen.
My hair smells like steak and cream.
I looked at myself in the mirror. I'm wearing black skinny jeans, white tee with blue checkered and a black vans. I'm going for the comfortable look. I put on my make up and sprayed perfume.
Ares texted me that he's already downstairs.
I went down bringing my small luggage with me. There's two cars in front of the lobby and Ares out from his car. He put my luggage into the trunk.
"What a gentleman.." I said sarcasticaly.
"You'll be in my car with my grandma." He said and I nodded.
"What about the other car?"
"My parents, sister and her fiance." Ares said and he gestured me to get in.
"Okay." I nodded and got into the car passenger seat. Lily was sitting at the back.
"Athena! How are you?" Lily squealed and I chuckled.
"I'm good, Lily. How about you?"
"I'm good too. So excited for this trip and how's the restaurant?" She asked.
"It will open in 3 days."
"Oh! I'm so excited.." She said as she patted my back.
"Ready?" Ares asked.
"Let's go!" Lily said and Ares started driving.
"I'm sorry that I can't visit you these days, babe." Ares said.
"It's okay, I understand that you're busy."
"If I were you, I'll break up with him already. How come he can't even spare time for you." Lily . "If you keep being an asshole, for sure you'll lose her, Ares."
"It's okay, Lily. He's a hard working man."
"Chill grandma, we still call each other even I'm busy. I always make time for her." He said as he my hand and looked at me with a big smile on his face.
Someone give him an Oscar.
"That's so sweet.. you know I always know thay you will get a good girlfriend someday. I hate playboy ways." Lily said and I laughed.
"True" Ares said.
"So.. can you tell me more about this house?" I asked.
"It's in Vegas. Aaron bought it last year and it's a really beautiful house. I bet you'll love it,
Athena." Lily said.
"Can't wait!"
"It will be a 6 to 7 hours drive." Ares said.
"Okay." After three hours of driving, we stopped at a rest area to grab some snacks.
"Athena!" I turned to see Viola running towards me. She hugged me and I chuckled.
"How are you?"
"I've been good, I want you to meet my fiance, Killian. Babe, this is Ares' girlfriend, Athena." We each others hands. I turned to see Aaron and Rachel. We greeted each other.
"How are you, Athena?" Rachel asked.
"I'm good, how about you?"
"Excited. How was the ride? Did my mom keep telling stories?" She asked and I chuckled.
"It was fun, her stories were funny."
"Let's buy some snacks." Lily said as she grabbed my hand. We got into the convenience store bought some snacks.
"You should buy more.." Ares said as he wrapped his arm around my waist.
"It's okay." I said. "What did you buy?"
"Drinks and some chocolate bars." He said showing me his snacks. We both walked to the and he paid for all the snacks.
"Let's go.. we still have 3 hours more to go." Aaron said and we all walked towards the car.
"You want to switch? I can drive." I said and Ares looked at me skeptical.
"I'm a good driver, babe. You forgot?" I smirked and grabbed the car key from him. I got into the seat and started the car.
"I'm excited.." Lily said as she closed the door. I drove the car out from the rest area and started follow the GPS. After an hour, Ares fell asleep. I guess he's tired and Lily fell asleep too.
I kept driving until we arrived at the house. I turned to Ares.
"Ares.. we're here.." I whispered.
"Ares.." I called and he opened his eyes slowly.
"Oh.." He looked around and took off his seatbelt. I turned to Lily.
"Lily.. we're here.." I said whispering because I don't want to scare her. She woke up instantly she turned to see the house.
"Oh God, Athena.. thank you. You drove all the way here?" She asked as she held my hand.
"It's okay, let's go." I smiled and she nodded. We both got out from the car and I was greeted by beautiful house. Ares waited for me and he held my hand as we walked inside.
"There's only 4 rooms in here. You and Ares can take the guest bedroom on the first floor."
Rachel said and Ares led me to the bedroom. There's only one bed here.
"Uhmmm.." I looked around as I closed the door.
"There's no way we're sharing a bed right?" I asked.
"Why not? We can share a bed just fine.." He said like it's nothing.
"Ares, I'm not your real girlfriend and I'm very uncomfortable.."
"Athena, it's only 2 nights. How about I sleep after you sleep?" He asked and I shook my head.
"Nope."
"Athena." I got called by Lily. I got out from the room and she was already waiting for me.
"Yes?"
"I want to tour your around the house." Right. I was too focused about the bedroom that I forgot beautiful the house is. The house is beautiful, it's a mix between wood and white interior I like.
There's two floors and each floors have 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. There's a beautiful pool faces the desert. The sunset will be so awesome here.
After Lily toured around, I went back to the bedroom to freshen up. I took a shower and changed a casual white dress. I tied my hair up into a ponytail.
"Are we going somewhere?" I asked as Ares entered the room.
"We're going to get dinner in 30 minutes." I put on my make up and put on my shoes. I sat on sofa in the living room waiting for everyone. Ares plopped beside me.
"Why didn't you wake me up? You must be tired after driving.." He said and I shook my head.
"I love driving so.. I don't mind." I said and he smiled. He leaned to me and gave me a kiss on cheek. Our eyes glued to each other for a split second.
"Don't even think about having sex here.." We both turned to see Viola and Ares glared at her.
"Let's go!" Killian said and we both got up. We got into the car. We went to town and decided to steak.
"After this.. do you mind if me and Ares go to the market? I would like to cook breakfast and tomorrow." I said.
"Oh.. that would be great!" Rache said.
"Thankyou.. I can't wait!" Lily said.
"Did you like her because she cooks?" Viola asked Ares.
"One of the reasons, yes.." He never even tasted my food. After we ate steak, Ares and I went the market. Lily joined the other car to go back.
"I should give you an oscar." Ares said.
"I can say the same thing.." I said to him and he put his hand to my head caressing it.
"Your family is so lovely, you should have find a real girlfriend." I said as I grabbed some sauces.
"Nah.. I don't think I want to have a serious relationship." He said.
"They'll hate me."
"They will understand that some relationship won't work, Athena. You worry too much."
"Easy for you to say.." I hissed as I walked past him to grab some bread.
"Why are you so grumpy?" Ares asked as he wrapped his arm around my waist.
"I'm not grumpy." I hissed.
"Yes, you are grumpy monkey."
