I tried my best to avoid Ethan at work the next day. I half expected him to call me in his office to tease me, but he never did. We crossed paths during lunch break. He looked at me and smirked at me obnoxiously, but I avoided his eyes. Jerk.
I hurried home after I was done working.
"Hey, you have a letter. I put it on the kitchen counter," Ally said as soon as I came in.
"A letter? From who?" I looked at her.
She picked it up and looked at it, "It looks like the same one I got. From our high school. There is gonna be a high school reunion!"
I ripped it open, and rest assured, it was an invitation to the reunion.
"Are you going?" Ally asked.
"I don't know. The last thing I want is to see people who tormented me for years. I think I'm going to skip it," I shrugged.
"Oh, come on! It wasn't all that bad. You had some good memories and met some good people, didn't you?" Ally said.
"Sure, but the bad outweighs the good. I bet Ethan's loser friends will be there. You know the once acted all high and mighty? I am not going. If I see their ugly faces again, I'm gonna puke," I said.
"Look Corey. I get why you'd be like this but, I think this is your chance to show them no matter what they did, you came out stronger. You have a great job, and you look great! They'll be jealous of you. And I'll be there with you for moral support. Who cares what they think anyway?" Ally said.
"Fine, I'll go with you. But I can't promise I'll have fun," I said dismissively.
Ally laughed. "We will have fun," she placed a hand on my shoulder and smiled. "By the way, did you have fun with Ethan last night," she smirked.
Shit...how much did she hear?
"I don't know what you mean," I said.
"Oh please...don't play coy with me. You weren't exactly quiet as a mouse," Ally giggled as my face turned red. Busted!
"It meant nothing. He practically forced himself on me. Bastard," I said quietly.
"Oh, he did? Should I call the cops?" Ally teased me.
"Fuck off, Ally. You aren't helping," I barked.
"Come on, Corey. I can clearly see you're attracted to him, and he likes you too. I could see it in his eyes last night. Why don't you try and give him a chance?" Ally asked.
"I just...you don't understand what I've been through. He expects me to forgive and forget, but I can't do it. It's too soon," I said. I know it has been years, but it still felt like he broke my heart just yesterday. "Besides, he is engaged."
"Engaged?" Ally exclaimed.
"Yup, he tried to explain to me last night, but I blew him off," I said.
"More like he blew you off," Ally joked.
"ALLY!"
"Okay, sorry, I'm just kidding. But seriously, I say you try to give him a chance. Even if he is engaged, he came after you," Ally said. "But don't force yourself. Do it when you're ready.
"Thanks, Allycat. What would I do without your wisdom?" I smirked.
I looked at the letter again. It was two weeks from now. Enough time for me to mentally prepare myself to face some of the people there. I wondered Ethan was going. He was the most popular kid there, and he was also the Prom king, so I'm sure people expected him to show up.
I looked at my phone and saw there was an unread message, so I opened it.
'Hey Corey, wanna go to a party this Saturday?' The text said. It was from Jacob.
Jacob! I forgot about him.
'Hey, whose party is it?' I replied. My phone lit up right away. He texts fast!
'My dad's. He said I could invite anyone I wanted, so I wanted to invite you,' Jacob texted.
I thought about it. I did tell Ethan I'd go out with Jacob. At the time, I didn't really mean it but now comes the opportunity to actually show him I was serious. Kiss my ass, Ethan!
'I'll go with you,' I wrote.
'Great! I'll come pick you up Saturday,' Jacob replied.
I looked forward to it. Hanging out with Jacob is just what I needed. I was still mad at myself for letting Ethan do that to me last night. I felt guilty because instead of feeling disgusted, I felt pleasured by him. He was clumsy and bad at certain parts, but he made me feel so good in the end. Fuck...why did I have to be so attracted to my enemy?
My phone rang all of a sudden. I looked at the phone and gulped. Why was Ethan calling me now? Why won't he leave me alone?
"What is it?" I barked.
"Is this how you talk to someone you love?" Ethan let out a low chuckle.
"Love? That's the funniest thing I've ever heard. What do you want?" I asked.
"You," his voice sounded low and husky.
Fuck...he was messing with me again.
"You are just trying to waste my time now. I'm hanging up," I said.
"Don't. I mean it. I can't stop thinking about you. Why don't you come over to my penthouse tonight, and I'll make you feel even better than last night?" Ethan asked.
"N...no thank you," I stammered. His offer was too tempting as I was already turned on. Maybe I could use his body? No! Stop it, Corey. What are you thinking? I scolded myself in my mind.
"Are you sure you don't want me touching you all over and kissing your body? I could already imagine your hard cock in my hands while I massage it gently," he said quietly.
What the hell? That asshole was trying to rile me up. I thought as I felt my body heating up.
"Shut up! Stop talking like that!" I breathed heavily into the phone.
"Why? Am I turning you on?" he chuckled.
"Not a chance in hell!" I protested.
"Liar, I bet you are hard already. Why don't you touch yourself? I want to hear your sexy moans," Ethan urged me.
"Fuck off! I'm hanging up!" I cried and clicked off the phone. Whatever that bastard was trying to do, it worked. I was aroused beyond belief.
