Ethan's POV
Corey's words stunned me. His harshness wounded me. But at the same time, I was aware of how he felt. He was angry, and he was hurt. I never knew how much my actions affected him until now.
Even though harsh words were coming out of his mouth, his eyes said things differently. They looked more sad than angry, and I was to be blamed for it. But that doesn't mean I'm going to listen to him and give up! Quite the contrary. I'll work even harder to be with him. I know he doesn't need me. He was happier without me, but I needed him. Especially after last night...
That night, I went home feeling a mixture of excitement and confusion. I couldn't recognize myself anymore. The old Ethan would've never touched another man so carelessly as he knew his family and so-called friends would never accept him. Acceptance was a big deal to me. I didn't care what anyone thought of me anymore. And I also was selfish enough not to leave him alone.
He squirmed in my arms as I hugged him from behind. I smirked and tightened my hug. You aren't getting away this easily, little mouse.
"Ethan, let go of me! What the hell are you doing?" Corey gasped as I leaned over and bit his ear.
"I heard your little speech and decided I'm okay with you hating me and using me. Let's keep using each other," I growled and pushed him toward the wall, then pressed my body against him.
"What the...are you crazy?" he cried.
"A little, but you already knew that." I pulled down his collar and bit the skin on the crook of his neck. Hard enough to bruise but not enough to break the skin.
"Stop that, you asshole, this isn't funny. You're making my shirt wrinkle," Corey whined, but I kept a firm grip on him. I clumsily put my hand between his legs and smiled to myself as I felt his hard-on. It looks like Mr. Price wasn't completely honest with me.
"I didn't get to properly fuck you last night. Let's do it here," I whispered seductively. I had no intention to force him to have sex with me in the office, but it was fun to tease him.
"Fuck...me...? Not in a million years!" Corey shouted.
"Shh...are you trying to alert the whole office?" I whispered and untucked his shirt, then slipped my hand underneath. I got a hold of his nipples and lightly pinched them, making him groan.
"Hmm...interesting. I've never imagined a man's nipples can get this erected. Is it sensitive to my touch, Mr. Price?" I chuckled softly. He is probably going to hate me even more now, but I was having too much fun.
"Ethan, I mean Mr. Miller. Let me turn around," he croaked out.
"Why? I like this position," I said and continued to bite and nibble his neck, marking him.
"Please? I wanna see your face," he pleaded.
Could it be that he changed his mind and giving himself to me? Only one way to find out. I gripped his shoulder and turned him around slowly. Corey's hazel eyes met mine, and he smiled.
"Your face is all flustered, indicating that you like-..."
I yelped as I felt intense pain between my legs. Corey's eyes were smiling as he watched me crouch down with my hands on my crouch. My eyes started to water.
"Did you...did you just slap my balls?" My voice came out hoarse and squeaky.
"Sure did. That'll teach you not to mess with me, asshat," Corey declared.
"Well played. This fucking hurts. You didn't have to hit me so hard," I groaned and made a pained expression.
His eyes softened. "Sorry, are you okay? I hope I didn't cause any permanent damage. Do I need to take you to the hospital?" he asked.
"Thanks for your concern, but I'll be okay. You may go back to work," I waved my hands. I needed some time to recover.
"So...I am not fired?" Corey smiled guiltily.
I smirked. "No. I am not done playing with you yet," I said smugly.
"You..." Corey stopped as we both heard a knock on the door. He quickly straightened up his clothes.
"Ethan? Ms. Melissa is here to see you," Sally spoke from the other side of the door. She opened the door slowly and peeked inside.
Now? She couldn't have picked a worse time. I looked at Corey, who narrowed his eyes at me. Must be wondering who Melissa was.
"Tell her I'm in an important meeting," I said irritably.
"She said it's important," Sally insisted.
"ETHAN! What the hell are you doing in there? I'm coming in," Melissa's shrill voice echoed across the hallway. I heard her heels clucking their way to my office. That girl sure was heavy-footed.
She pushed past Sally and barged inside. Her eyes landed on Corey right away, and her lips curled into a smile. "And who are you?"
"Corey Price," he said.
"You must be the new guy. I am Melissa Stevenson, Ethan's fiancée," she said.
I looked at Corey to see how he reacts as Melissa dropped the bombshell. And his reaction was better than I hoped. His eyes turned dark and a scowl formed on his face. He did not look happy.
"Fiancée?" he looked at me and raised his eyebrows.
"Eh, it's complicated," I shrugged.
"Nothing complicated about that. Manwhore..." he grumbled under his breath and walked out of the office.
Sally gave me a puzzled look and went back to her desk, leaving Melissa and me alone in the office.
"What was that all about?" she demanded to know.
"I should ask you! Why did you tell him you were my fiancée?" I asked angrily.
"Huh? Why wouldn't I? We got engaged and all that. Don't you remember going to our engagement party, Sugarplum?" Melissa smirked.
"Don't call me that," I barked.
"Jeez...someone is bitter this morning. Who was that anyway? You two looked awfully chummy. Are you like that with all your employees?" she asked.
"I need to tell you something," I said.
"Oh boy...here we go. Don't tell me you are chickening out of this marriage, dipshit," Melissa groaned.
"I think I might be gay," I said and waited for her to get angry.
"Oh, that's it?" she rolled her eyes.
"What do you mean that's it? I just gave you a piece of shocking news. What's with that underwhelming reaction?" I said irritably.
"I thought you were gonna say we were through," Melissa said.
"I mean, of course, we are through! I like men," I slapped my forehead in frustration.
"I don't think so. We have a deal," she said with a tight jaw. "I don't care if you have a boyfriend, but you aren't breaking up with me."
"Mel..." I started to say, but she shushed me.
"Why are you arguing with me? Did you meet someone?" she asked, then suddenly, her eyes turned wide. "Wait a minute! It's him! You like that employee of yours!" she exclaimed.
I sighed. How does she always figure things out so easily?
