The news of Accalia and Ethan's engagement was received well by everyone. The town wasn't exactly surprised because they had expected it, seeing how much Ethan loved Accalia. The couple had decided to make their wedding a very simple one attended by only close friends and family.
Ethan still had his quiet personality but since he and Accalia got together,he was less of an introvert.
When the news got to Helen in her kingdom,she was elated. She made Accalia promise to allow her to make her gown for the day. Accalia didn't want the loud and large gown,but a unique gracious gown,fit for her.
Accalia was going to move out of the house,soon to live with Ethan in his bigger house,so they decided to have a simple wedding by the side of the brook by Accalia's house,while the wedding dinner would take place at Ethan's home.
With their decision to have a smaller wedding, Accalia and Ethan had few things to do. They had chosen their outfits and food for friends,so all that was left was the cake. Rachel had insisted that they go together to the bakery shop to choose the type of cake they wanted.
"You know I miss having Helen around. Speaking of which,she would be arriving in town with your dress tomorrow!",Rachel announced excitedly.
"That is wonderful news! Oh my Luna! I can't wait to try my dress on. I bet it'll look beautiful on me!" Accalia gushed dreamily and they laughed.
"I'm so blessed to have you both by my side. You all have become family to me", Accalia added emotionally.
"It's okay darling. We're blessed to have you too", Rachel said hugging Accalia.
After they had chosen their preferred cake,the ladies decided to get some coffee by the coffee shop closeby. Immediately,they found their seat at the corner of the room, Rachel excused herself to use the bathroom, leaving Accalia to order their food.
"Are you okay? You look gloomy. Oh my! I hope I haven't stressed you with this whole wedding thing", Accalia asked with concern.
"No..not at all. I just feel tired. Maybe it's because I've been busy with Max with the administrative work", Rachel said convincingly.
"Okay. Well then,I'll advise we hurry up with our food, so you can get some rest", Accalia suggested.
"No problem", Rachel said and smiled weakly.
Accalia walked Rachel home before passing on her way. "You sure, you don't need me to do anything for you?", Accalia asked.
"I'm fine. Just need adequate rest,, especially cause we have a big day ahead of us", Rachel said and winked at Accalia knowingly.
"Of course I know that. Do get some rest, okay?", Accalia said with a smile.
Accalia walked on her way and Rachel went into her home. Accalia had a dinner date with Ethan that evening,so she needed to freshen up and meet up with him soon. She was still in her thoughts when she heard someone call her name.
She turned at the sound of her name to meet the caller. She had presumed it'll be one of the townspeople, calling to congratulate her on her marriage to Ethan. Accalia had been used to receiving congratulatory messages, whenever she stepped out.
But not this time, Accalia's face froze in shock as she saw the caller. It was Penney. She made to move hastily but Penney stopped her again.
"Accalia! Please! Wait! I beg you!", Penney cried out.
"Please, I'm in no mood for your games and outbursts. I have no need to talk or listen to you", Accalia reprimanded.
"I know..I don't mean to throw tantrums. I just want to talk,that's all",she pleaded.
"Talk? About what exactly if I may ask? Is it about humiliation? Hate? Or even pain you caused me?", Accalia said enraged.
"I'm sorry..so sorry about everything I said to you. I was just hurt that Ethan wouldn't look at me the way I wanted and it got worse when you both started going out together", Penney explained.
"So because of that, you took it out on me. An innocent woman that had no bad intentions towards you. You barely even knew me!", Accalia screamed at the top of her lungs.
"I'm sorry..I was jealous"Penney said and broke into tears.
"Bravo! Miss I-want-to-have-it-all ! So because of jealousy, you plotted with them to destroy me? Let me ask you,do you know how it feels to lose your family before your eyes, your once peaceful town ravaged and you serve as a slave and sex toy for a rogue werewolf and his kind?", Accalia asked fiercely.
"No..no.. please..no",was all Penney said as she knelt on the road crying. She held onto the hem of Accalia's dress, pleading.
"Please forgive me",she pleaded. Accalia looked at her sympathetically and nodded at her. "It's okay, Penney. I hold nothing against you", Accalia said finally,then walked out.
Accalia got dressed in a tight knee-length skirt and wore a matching top to match with low heels for her dinner date with Ethan. The date was scheduled to be in one of the fancy restaurants out of town.
As Ethan led her in,she couldn't help but smile at the beautiful setting of the restaurant. Ethan had booked their booth, obviously because it was decorated with red roses and they had the corner to themselves with soft music playing in the background.
The view outside was splendid and Accalia enjoyed how the breeze played with her hair, lightly. Ethan took her hands and smiled lovingly at her, before calling the attention of the waiter, for their order.
They ordered some seafood and pasta with red wine. The ambience was just soothing and Accalia couldn't express how loved she felt. As they ate their meal and chatted randomly, Accalia was reminded of Penney's approach earlier in the day. She decided to let Ethan know what had transpired.
"Penney approached me today", Accalia said nonchalantly.
"Okay? What did she want?",he asked, cutting the barbecued prawn in half.
"That she was sorry? And she only did it because she was jealous of us together. She said she loved you", Accalia said and looked up at Ethan to catch his facial expression.
"Penney likes any one,she considers her type or any strong werewolf. So she didn't like me",he refuted.
"She had also tried to come visit you when you were.. you know? But..em..I declined", Ethan confessed.
"I'm happy you did somehow because you were the only one I wanted to be close to me, especially in my weakest moment", Accalia thanked, surprised about his confession.
"Well,she asked me to forgive her and I told her I had nothing against her. I mean, I'm grateful for everything I have now, including you so there's no point holding grudges", Accalia said, genuinely.
"That's why I love you. You have a kind spirit and you're generous to a fault, irrespective of how hurt you feel and that's what differentiates you from the other females. I'm always thankful that fate destined us together because you are the link my heart and soul needed", Ethan professed to her.
"Thank you baby! But forgiving her doesn't change a thing. I still want only the close people in my circle that I feel safe with to be in my wedding", Accalia said, sipping her wine.
"Same here baby", Ethan agreed and they laughed. It was a beautiful night,so they enjoyed every bit of it.
