Curtis looked at Annette.
Annette said with displeasure, "Thea, I'm telling you. I didn't speak ill of you, nor did I seduce any man in the company. You better mind your words."
Annette pulled her hand out and shook off Thea's hand.
She looked at Curtis and said, "Curtis, thank you."
Curtis waved at her and said, "Go back to the office first."
Annette cast a cold glance at Catherine and turned to leave, ignoring Thea while she was still shouting behind her.
She walked quickly. She squeezed out of the crowd and left the cafeteria.
When she was waiting for the elevator, Catherine caught up to her.
She stood beside Annette and said guiltily, "Annette, I'm sorry. I didn't do it on purpose. There were so many people just now. I had no choice."
"You had no choice? Then, you think it's fine just to slander others and tell a lie?" Annette hated this kind of person the most.
Catherine explained, "Annette, I know that you will leave in a month. I am different. I want to stay in the company, so my reputation is important. Otherwise, in future assessments, they may not let me stay. It has always been my dream to work in the Norman Group, so..."
Annette sneered. "It doesn't matter how others look at you if you've done nothing wrong. Otherwise, do you think you can hide it from people?"
Catherine frowned, "What do you mean?"
"Catherine, I'm not the only part-time lecturer. Why did you choose to get close to me? You are clear about the reason. I didn't expose you because I thought your private life had nothing to do with me. Also, as you said, I will leave in a month. However, you used me again and again, and I can't bear it."
Annette added in a loud voice, "I know why Thea is targeting me. She thought I was the one!"
"I don't know what you're talking about." Catherine shouted unhappily, "Are you crazy?"

Annette entered the elevator and pressed the button, leaving Catherine standing there.
After she returned to the office, Catherine came back in a few minutes.
She glanced at Annette and returned to her seat without saying anything.
Someone came back from the cafeteria and told Amanda about what had happened.
Amanda walked to Annette, then Thea came over.
Thea walked to Annette and swept all the documents on the desk to the ground.
Annette stood up and looked at Thea angrily. "Are you crazy?"
Amanda stood in front of Annette and said to Thea, "You better stop messing around immediately."
"I'm messing around? Amanda, do you think you can tell me what to do just because you got a promotion? Let me tell you, you don't have the final say in the Training Department. I'll get Mr. Horton to come back now."
Thea took out her phone and dialed Melvin's number.
As soon as the call was connected, she began to cry. "Mr. Horton, when are you coming back? I was bullied by Amanda and Annette. I need your help... Okay, I'll wait for you."
After hanging up the phone, Thea put the phone into her pocket.
She looked at Amanda and said proudly, "As the manager of the Training Department, you are partial to Annette without even asking the truth. You want to get me out of this office, right? It is impossible! Today, I will let Mr. Horton see your true color. I wonder if you can still keep your position."
Amanda looked at Thea coldly and said, "Even Mr. Horton can't help you. I won't go easy on you."

Amanda walked back to her desk. She picked up her phone and walked out. She dialed a number and said, "Hello, I'm Amanda from the Training Department. I have something important to report to the boss."
As soon as Amanda finished the call, Melvin rushed back from outside.

"Mr. Horton, everyone in the Training Department knows whether Thea has worked hard or not. With her performance, she is not qualified to be the team leader," Amanda said.
"Enough! What are you talking about? Stop the nonsense." Melvin walked into the office after he finished his words.
Thea cried and followed behind him.
"Mr. Horton, I heard Annette and Catherine speak ill of me while they were having lunch. I went up and questioned them. As a result, Curtis spoke up for Annette because he had a crush on her. And Amanda bullied me because she was a manager."
Melvin looked at Annette with displeasure and said, "You again?"
Annette looked calm. "Mr. Horton, you have wronged me. Just now, Thea said clearly that Catherine was with me."
Melvin looked at Catherine and said, "Did you speak ill of Thea?"
