Fatty Betty's Diary: My Bully's Crush

Megan’s Desperation

Ch. 140 / 251 Mar 20, 2026

Megan’s paranoia grew with each passing day. To regain her footing, she turned to what she did best—twisting the narrative to suit her needs.

"Did you hear about her and Marcus?" she whispered to a group of classmates, her voice low but carrying just enough venom to grab their attention. "It’s pathetic, really. She’s so desperate, throwing herself at anyone who’ll give her the time of day."

The words spread quickly, whispers following Betty wherever she went. Megan’s lies were sharp and calculated, meant to isolate her and make her doubt herself.

But Megan didn’t count on Stacey.

Stacey found her outside the student union, leaning against the brick wall with her phone in hand, undoubtedly plotting her next move. Megan barely had time to react before Stacey stormed up to her, her heels clicking sharply against the pavement.

"Your lies are unraveling," Stacey said without preamble, her voice full of fire.

"Stacey," Megan said smoothly. "To what do I owe this lovely surprise?"

"Cut the crap. We both know what you’re doing, and it’s not going to work."

Megan tilted her head. "I don’t know what you’re talking about."

"You’re trying to turn everyone against Betty. But here’s the thing about lies—they don’t hold up forever. And yours? They’re coming apart at the seams."

"You’re so dramatic," Megan waved her hand dismissively. "Betty’s perfectly capable of ruining her own reputation without my help."

Stacey leaned in, her voice dropping to a dangerous whisper. "It’s only a matter of time before everyone sees you for who you really are."

Megan’s smirk faltered, her jaw tightening as Stacey turned and walked away without another word, her confidence unwavering.

Meanwhile, Betty’s investigation took a crucial turn.

In a quiet corner of the library, she sat across from a woman in her late twenties. The woman’s hands were clasped tightly together, her knuckles white as she spoke in a hushed tone.

"I knew Megan back then. I remember the pastor... and the scandal. They were... involved. It wasn’t just rumors. People saw them together—too often, too late at night. And then there were complaints."

"Complaints?" Betty frowned.

"From other parents. Things got messy fast. Megan’s family stepped in and made it go away. They shipped her off, and the pastor resigned. They kept it quiet, but everyone in town knew why."

"Will you speak out?" Betty asked, her voice hopeful but cautious.

The woman’s eyes widened, her hands tightening into fists. "No," she said firmly, shaking her head. "Megan’s family is powerful. They’ll come after me if I say anything."

"You’d be protected," Betty tried, but the woman wasn’t convinced.

"I’m sorry. I can’t take that risk."

As the woman left, Betty sat back in her chair, her mind racing. The pieces of the puzzle were falling into place, but without someone willing to speak publicly, they still didn’t have the leverage they needed to stop Megan.

Brent joined her a moment later, his expression tense as he sat down beside her. "How’d it go?"

"She confirmed it. But she’s too scared to come forward."

Brent nodded grimly."Megan’s family knows how to make people stay quiet."

"Then we’ll have to find someone who isn’t afraid of them."
