Fatty Betty's Diary: My Bully's Crush

The Big Night Begins

Ch. 157 / 251 Mar 20, 2026

The gym buzzed with energy, every seat packed, the crowd a sea of school colors. Cheers ricocheted off the walls as the championship game roared to life. The air felt alive, charged with excitement that hung so thick it was almost suffocating.

The first half sped by in a blur—Brent at the center of it all, barking commands and driving plays with razor-sharp focus. He was relentless, his intensity radiating across the court. But even from the sidelines, it was clear the game was weighing on him.

By halftime, the tension was palpable. Now, it was The Unseen’s moment.

The cheer team stormed the court, Sasha’s voice snapping commands as they fell into perfect formation. The routine was seamless—flawless stunts, perfect timing. Betty climbed to the top of the final pyramid, arms stretched wide, the crowd roaring as if the roof might blow off.

As they filed off, breathless and flushed, Betty spotted Marcus on the sidelines. He grinned, mouthing, Killed it.

Her cheeks warmed as she smiled back, pride swelling in her chest.

The second half kicked off with renewed ferocity. Brent was everywhere—calling plays, driving the ball, holding the team together with sheer willpower. The crowd roared with every move, but his clenched jaw and rigid shoulders betrayed the strain.

In the bleachers, Stacey leaned forward, gripping the railing. “He’s pushing too hard,” she muttered, her voice tight.

“Yeah,” Betty murmured, eyes locked on the court. “But he won’t stop.”

Stacey exhaled sharply, worry etched across her face. “He just needs to hold it together a little longer.”

Betty nodded, but her stomach churned.

The clock ticked down, the final five minutes stretching into eternity. Brent was a force of nature, driving the ball with a singular focus that bordered on reckless.

He caught a pass near the three-point line and cut through the opposing defense like a knife. He sprinted toward the hoop, jumping for a layup just as a defender crashed into him mid-air.

The collision was brutal.

Brent’s body twisted as he fell, his leg caught beneath him. The sickening sound of bone and muscle colliding with the hardwood echoed through the gym, followed by Brent’s scream of pain.
