Fatty Betty's Diary: My Bully's Crush

The Cover-Up Cracks

Ch. 138 / 251 Mar 20, 2026

Whispers around campus had reached Megan, vague comments that hinted at Betty and Brent digging into her past. She wouldn’t let them ruin the carefully curated story she’d constructed, not when she was so close to controlling everything.

Over coffee with a group of classmates, she began weaving her lies with a disarming smile. The classmates were exchanging skeptical glances, but she knew how to turn doubt into curiosity.

"Betty’s obsessed with me," she said. "She’s always been jealous. I don’t know why, but she’s been like this since high school. Now she’s dragging Brent into it too. She’s trying to make it seem like I’m the bad guy. I guess some people just can’t handle seeing others happy."

Meanwhile, in the quiet corner of the campus library, Brent and Betty huddled over an old laptop. The screen displayed scanned town records that had taken days to track down, but their persistence had paid off.

"Here it is," Brent pointed at the screen, his voice shaky but triumphant. "This proves it wasn’t just rumors."

Betty leaned closer, her eyes narrowing as she read the file.

The document was a scanned church complaint form from their hometown. The youth pastor’s name was prominently listed, along with the reason for his resignation: "Violation of conduct policies."

Brent’s eyes scanned the details, his stomach twisting as he read the accompanying notes. One line stood out, stark against the formal language: Complaint filed by: Megan H. and family.

"It’s a start," Betty said carefully. "But we need more if we’re going to stop her."

Brent frowned. "What more do we need? This shows she was involved with him, that her parents tried to cover it up."

"It shows there was a complaint, but not the whole truth. If we confront her now, she’ll just twist it into another story to make herself the victim."

Brent sighed, running a hand through his hair. "So what do we do?"

Betty straightened, her jaw tightening with determination. "We keep digging. There’s more to this, Brent. There has to be."
