Angela's twin nieces, Liya and Lia, were standing in the front yard when their car pulled up. They looked a little confused and scared because of the unrecognized car until Angela got down from the car. "Angela!" Liya cried, her eyes bright with excitement. "I'm so glad you're home!" Lia cried out loudly. They hugged her legs, nearly knocking her off balance. Angela bent down and scooped them up in her arms, squeezing them tight. "I've missed you so much, my bunnies," she said, her heart overflowing with love. "We've missed you too," they replied, nuzzling into her neck. "I've been lonely without you guys." Angela smiled, her eyes shining with tears. Their screams attracted Jace's attention he came out of the house and going them hugging Angela. "You look so different," Liya added, her eyes taking in Angela's pale face and body. "What happened?" Lia asked desperately. Angela laughed. "It's a long story," she said, "but I'll tell you all about it later. Right now, I just want to enjoy being home." Jace walked over to her. "Welcome home what a relief". He smiled. Angela pulled him into a tight hug. "Angela you can do that with the little twins but not me, I am too big". He snapped trying to escape from her hug. "You are my big..big baby." Jace frowned and the twins chuckled at his annoyed face. Damon decided to step out of the car, his bodyguard opened the door for him. The twins saw him and stare at him curiously. "Who is that?" Liya said in a whisper. "He is my friend, he is Damon Montero". Angela smiled releasing Jace, who looked very confused about the introduction. That guy.. he is Damon Montero, he looks nothing like Antonio Montero. "Damon, this is my younger brother Jace and my sister's babies. They are twins. Liya and Lia." "Hi" Liya waved while Lia was shy to say anything. He squatted to their heights. "They are adorable, it's nice to meet you". Then straightened up to meet Jace's gaze, he offered a handshake. Jace accepted awkwardly. "It's nice to meet you too Mr Damon". "Come on, let's go inside," Angela said, carrying Liya and Lia, struggling to get into the house. Jace followed eager to hear all about Angela had to say about Damon, he was sure he is a Montero and the way they looked at each other, he is not just any friend. Is she involved with two brothers now? It's obvious she is in love with him.. and she feels a lot comfortable with him than Antonio. They got to the living room and sat down in the living room. "Did you bring us presents?" Lia asked, looking up at Angela expectantly. "Of course I brought you presents," she chuckled. "But they're not as important as being able to see your beautiful faces again." "Awwww," Lia said, a look of adoration on her face. "That's the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me!" Liya giggled, her eyes sparkling. "Me too! You're the sweetest aunt in the whole wide world!" Lia said, giving Angela another hug. Angela's heart swelled with love for her family. She had missed them so much while she was in the hospital, and it felt amazing to be back with them again. Then she looked around the house. "How about Kerry, is she back yet?" She asked Jace. The twins shook their head sadly. "Who is Kerry?" Damon whispered to her. "My younger sister, the twins' mom". She replied then look up to cheer the twins up. "So babies, tell me all about school." "We had lots of fun!" Liya started. "Is he your boyfriend?" Lia asked pointing at Damon, ignoring Angela's question about school. Angela felt her face grow hot, and she glanced at Damon, who was watching her with amusement. "Well," she said, choosing her words carefully, "we're very close. But we're not officially dating." Damon's face fell, and he looked up at Angela with disappointment. They kissed minutes ago! "But I thought you loved your husband, prince charming!" Lia said, her voice full of confusion. "Prince charming?" Angela asked in surprise. "That's what Antonio told them his name was, he even convince them that he was the idea of Cinderella's prince charming". Jace replied. Angela never thought he could be that childish to discuss Cinderella with the kids. "That pervert, he wanted them to start fangirling over him, pedophile!" Angela replied. "What's pervert?" "What's Peyofil?" The twins asked simultaneously.
“They are useless words don't think of it..also Prince charming or whatever, he is not my husband..okay?” “I am not happy about this”. Liya said folding her hand with a frown. “Me too! I want Prince charming”. Lia snapped and fdef her hands with a frown copying her twin. Angela mad Damon exchanged awkward glances. “They have grown fond of him in such a little time”. Jace added. “Well! Who is hungry? I will make your favorite”. Angela shouted trying to change the topic. “I am! I am!” The twins suddenly throw away their moods and started jumping in excitement,their hands in the air. Angela winked at Damon and left for the kitchen. “Jace! Please can you get me the paper bag in the car,the food stuffs is there”. “On it!” Jace replied. He went to the car and swallowed hard seeing an armed security. He struggled to explain himself when Damon came out and instructed the bodyguard to get the bags from the car. Jace returned to the house and muttered thanks to Damon who simply smiled back. He gave the bags to Angela and went back to the living room. Angela was chopping vegetables when Jace came into the kitchen. He dropped the bags on the table and hopped up on a stool at the counter, watching her with interest. “Thank you”. Angela smiled. She was wearing apron, her long silky brunette hair tied into a pony. She was smiling and humming visibly glowing and Jace could tell why. Angela in return found herself relaxing more and more. It was as if the stress and worry are things of the past. "So, is Damon really your friend?" Jace asked, his voice curious. Angela paused, the knife hovering over the cutting board. "I suppose he is," she said, her voice thoughtful. "I feel like I can tell him anything, and he'll always be there for me. And I feel like I can trust him with anything." “You love him don't you? Are you guys... are you serious? I mean, like... do you really love him?"He asked. "I do have feelings for Damon," she said, choosing her words carefully. "I care about him very much. And he's been such a good friend to me, especially when I've been feeling scared or stressed in the Monteros mansion”. Jace nodded, seeming to understand. "I'm glad you're happy," he said. "And him does he feel same way about you?” Angela nodded. “We are in love with each other but because of my contract with Antonio it was a little complicated”. Jace nodded again. “So that means you are never going to be a thing with Antonio?” “Never ever!” She laughed. “And he won't come back here anymore?” Jace asked. Angela shook her head then she realized. "I know you were close to Antonio," she, said, her voice gentle. "I know how bad it feel, knowing that you won't be spending as much time with him anymore?" “We are not close!” Jace snapped, cheeks red with embrassment. “He is a jerk for treating you badly..although he came to my aid when the twins were suck, he confronted my bully, gave me money for upkeep then he took us shopping out of town..” “He did? You didn't mention it last time I called”. She frowned. “I knew you would scold me that's why”. Jace replied. “Antonio is a dangerous man..it's not safe going that far with him,he is a secret mafia”. She replied in a whisper. Jace sighed. “He was very kind to us though..he even played childish games with the twins..they looked so happy with him like they had a father figure,he would carry them in his arms..”. “Still he is a creep”. Angela blunted. “You are right,he kept asking me if I am interested in men”. He looked away in embrassment. “That pervert..you are an underage what is wrong with him!” Angela hit the table with the kitchen knife in anger. “I think he is bisexual”. “Who cares! Whatever he is he should keep it to himself and not influence you!” Angela snapped angrily pointing the knife at him. “I am not influenced”. Jace replied. “You blushed because of him”. She said suspiciously “I am just embarrassed that a man could say that to me,never had a man approach me before,I love girls you know”. Jace snapped. Angela sighed. “It's your choice,if you…”. “Angela, I love girls!” He snapped in annoyance. “I heard you right, don't be offended”. She surrendered with a chuckle and smiled at him. After a few minutes of awkward silence, Angela started another conversation. “We will move out of the town”. “What…when?” “After this meal, Damon's own a penthouse in a nearby city ”. “Today?!” Jace yelled out loud enough to attract the twins attention.
