“You want Angela's permission?” Lia asked with a questioning brow, her magic ward pointing at Angela. “I know why, she's the Queen!” Liya gasped. “Isn’t the king superior to the queen?” Her sister whispered back. “That's true”. Liya agreed. Antonio eyes were on Angela, trying to lead her body language, but it wasn't clear whether she wanted him to stay or not. He wondered if she was still angry, she didn't give him a reply. Then Angela said slowly and stood up to her feet. “I will go make lunch”. Angela tried not to meet his eyes. “Can you please stay with the twins while I make lunch, Mr. Antonio?” Antonio felt more uncertain after that statement. He was too busy calculating, so he didn't reply as soon as she asked. “I think it will be more encouraging if you don't use his name, he is your fiancé, be more sweet”. Lia said cutely, hugging her magic ward as an expression. Angela was stunned by that statement and extremely embarrassed, while Antonio was trying not to laugh out loud. “Well…?” Liya added supporting her twin. Angela swallowed and clenched her fists. She has been doing this all the time, but why is it suddenly this hard? Could it be because it's real…she is actually going to call him romantically because she is attracted to him? “We are waiting…” Lia replied impatiently. Angela bit her lower lip and turned boldly to meet Antonio's gaze. “Can you please stay with the twins while I make lunch, babe?” The twins looked back at Antonio. He bowed like royalty, still wearing his crown. “Aww!” The girls chorused and looked back at Angela. Angela's cheek was so hot she knew she was all pink, without saying a word she dashed into the kitchen and locked the door. She turned around with her back leaning in the door. “That was close! I hope they didn't see how hard I was blushing”. She said to herself, panting heavily with a hand on her chest. “He is so handsome, sexy and cute altogether”. She gushed and slapped her cheeks with her eyes now open. “Get your stuff together, Angela”. With a deep hot exhale, she turned and opened the door slightly just to peek at Antonio playing with the twins, she couldn't help but smile sheepishly. “Wow, since when?” A voice sounded in her ear. It gave Angela a jump start, and she screamed out in panic. “Jace? How…what.When did you get here”? Jace folded his hands. “I was in here all the time, you were so into whatever made you all potato, that you don't notice my presence”. Angela covered her face with her palms. “Oh my gosh, this is so embarrassing”. Jace looked at Antonio and the twins through the slightly opened kitchen door, then back to Angela. “Is there anything I should know?” Angela looked up and alerted. “What…why… Something like what?” Jace shook his head with a little smile. “I see you're admiring Antonio with the twins,” Jace said, a smirk playing on his lips. “He's really something, isn't he?” “He really is,” Angela said, looking away and pretending to be searching for something in the cupboards. “He always knows just what to do with the twins, keep them busy and stiff. It's like he's got a sixth sense or something,” Jace said. “I don't know how he does it; those two are exhausting, but I don't see him looking so tired of them, good parenting skills there.” “It's like he has a way of connecting with them,” Angela said, smiling with her cheeks stained. Jace laughed out. “What?” Angela asked, confused. “Oh, come on. Angela you can't hide it, you look at him differently now, you are even blushing by just talking to him. It seems like you've fallen for the idol, just like Kerry”. “I'm not falling in love with him!” Angela protested, her face flushing red. “I just admire the way he is with the twins, that's all.” She started washing the vegetables. “If you say so,” Jace said, still grinning. “But I'm telling you, I can see the way you look at him. You're smitten.” “Shut up,” Angela said, punching her brother playfully. “You've got to admit, it's a little funny,” Jace said. “You two started off hating each other, and AEK contract whatever, and now you're practically smitten by him. Who knows where this could lead?” “It's not funny,” Angela said, rolling her eyes. “And it's not like that. We're just getting along. That's all.” “Sure, sure,” Jace said, winking at her. “Whatever you say. Just don't forget that I called it first.” Angela groaned and threw a utensil at her brother, but she couldn't help but laugh. “I have to confess,” Angela said, her face flushed with embarrassment. “You are right, I think I have fallen with him and I don't care anymore. I am willing to make him see that…maybe it can change him to a better man.” Jace's jaw dropped. “You're serious?” he asked, his eyes wide. “You do actually have feelings for Antonio?” Angela nodded, looking down at the vegetable bowl, blushing. “Wow,” Jace said, still in disbelief. "I never thought I'd see the day when you'd be interested in someone like Antonio and preaching about changing a man, you don't believe in those things, it's something Kerry would say. Except that Kerry will say an explicit version of it”. Angela chuckled. “What about him, what are his feelings for you? I don't want you to get hurt in the end. Antonio is a well-known playboy”. Jace said with a concerned expression on his face. Angela paused what she was doing thoughtfully. She forced a smile. It was fear that was suddenly unlocked in her.
