Chapter 157

Ch. 157 / 281 Apr 07, 2026

Sergio nodded and asked, "Marilyn, do you know any computer experts like hackers? I checked and found the person who sent us the message is abroad."

Marilyn was slightly surprised. She didn't know who would be helping them overseas.

She shook her head and said in puzzlement, "Sergio, I don't know any hackers. Is Mr. Lowe's friend helping him?"

Sergio shook his head with a smile. "Impossible. I know all of Malcolm's friends. As for the hacker, I am the only one. There is no one else."

Marilyn smiled, "I didn't expect that you were a handsome and capable hacker." She teased him.

Sergio rarely saw Marilyn like this. She was a little mischievous, and her pure smile could infect and delight others.

Being praised, Sergio actually blushed. He smiled and said, "I have liked computers since I was a child. And I was professionally trained.

"However, compared to the one this morning, I am much inferior. It took me half a day to find it out. Moreover, the address might be fake."

"Then who is helping us?" Marilyn was very puzzled.

Sergio glanced at her. He was also very confused right now, but they would know sooner or later.

"Forget it. You can get off work first. You will know who it is."

"Alright, I'll leave first." Marilyn smiled and walked towards the elevator.

As soon as they reached the elevator door, they met Malcolm and Julian. The elevator door had just opened.

Malcolm was a little depressed because Arturo didn't want to eat with him and wanted to go back to the ravioli made by Marilyn.

He came back to pack up his things and planned to eat with them later. He had already made up his mind.

He looked up and saw Marilyn outside the elevator.

"Lynn, it's time to get off work." His gloomy and handsome face instantly lit up.

"Yes. Mr. Lowe, Mr. Munoz, goodbye!" After Marilyn finished speaking, she entered the elevator.

"Goodbye, Lynn!" Julian smiled and explained.

"Thank you!" Marilyn smiled at him.

After the elevator door closed, Malcolm slapped Julian on the head.

"Are you crazy? Why did you hit me? I'm not the one who refused to have dinner with you. Why are you angry at me?" Julian looked at Malcolm angrily.

Malcolm's facial features were clear. His dark eyes were sharp and stern as he looked at Julian. He looked aggressive as he said angrily, "Julian, how can you call her Lynn?"

Julian was stunned as he thought, "This bastard was actually jealous over a name."

He roared in dissatisfaction, "Malcolm, isn't it just a name? It is not exclusive! She isn't your personal belonging."

Julian straightened his back and shouted at Malcolm, "Can you not be so overbearing?"

Malcolm's handsome face clouded over as he warned, "You are not allowed to call her that in the future. Otherwise, I will tear your mouth apart."

After he finished speaking, he strode into his office. He didn't even pay attention to Sergio who was standing at the side.

Sergio looked at Julian and asked, "What's wrong with him? Is he serious?"

Julian understood what he meant. He nodded and said slowly, "Yes, more serious than ever. He may get into a relationship soon."

Moreover, he would even become a father.

Sergio narrowed his eyes and did not speak.

There were complicated emotions in his eyes.

He thought, "Does Malcolm really care about Marilyn?"

Julian glanced at the silent Sergio and smiled mysteriously, "Sergio, I'm leaving too."

"Aren't you going with Malcolm? I don't have time to drive him back." Sergio said, looking at Julian's back.

Julian said without looking back, "You don't need to drive him. You can get off work too!"

With that, he walked into the elevator and waved at Sergio. He was going to chase after his woman.

Before the age of thirty, he had to get married, and he would marry someone who liked him and could attract him.

If he went down now, he would meet Jeannie!

Sergio looked at Julian's smile, puzzled. "He seems to be in love."

He did not ponder and turned to pack his things, preparing to leave.

He glanced at Malcolm's office and did not walk in. He picked up his laptop and left. What he was most interested in now was finding the hacker.

Marilyn and Jeannie planned to meet downstairs. When Marilyn arrived downstairs, she didn't see Jeannie and Arturo. Instead, she saw Sandy being pulled away by a middle-aged man.

Marilyn looked at them in puzzlement and followed.

She tiptoed there. When she reached the corner by the company, she heard a man's voice.

"Ms. Chambers, I was expelled by the Lowe Group today for getting you in here."

"What? How did they know?" Sandy looked at Mike in shock.

Mike said with a bitter smile, "The Lowe Group is well connected. It's easy for them to know about this."

"Mr. Barnett, I'm sorry. You lost your job because of me." Sandy did not expect that Malcolm would be so decisive and dismiss Mr. Barnett.

"So, Ms. Chambers, I have lost my job. My son is still in high school. I have to work. I have helped your family a lot over the years. I have even persuaded Mr. Hamilton about the plot against your sister, Marilyn.

"I helped your family to make a lot of money. I think it wouldn't be difficult for your family to give me a job!"

Hearing this, Marilyn was surprised.

Mike had also participated in it back then.

"Mr. Barnett, are you threatening me?" Sandy's angry voice was very loud.

Mike sneered and said, "Ms. Chambers, I don't dare to threaten you, but what I said is the truth. Marilyn of the Lowe Group looks very similar to your sister, and her ability is excellent..."

"Don't say any more. I will tell my mother when I go back and ask her to arrange a position for you in the Chambers Enterprise, but our Chambers Enterprise is a small company, and the treatment will not be as good as that of the Lowe Group.

"It can be your temporary work. When you find a better one, just leave." Sandy angrily interrupted him. She hated hearing others praise Marilyn.

Marilyn was her natural enemy that covered her aura.

Marilyn was a nightmare to her. Fortunately, her family hated Marilyn too.

Mike smiled with satisfaction. "Thank you, Ms. Chambers. I will go back and wait for your good news."
