***BEAUTY'S POV**
I went home that day, moody. I didn't even answer Jessie's at first.
Tonight I had a blind date, not sure if I will be able to focus on the date. All that was in my head was a picture of Bruno asking my name. Why am I even disturbed, not like I am someone special to him?
I am just so pathetic. I looked in a mirror and applied a lip gloss, unsure what to do with the brow pencil and other makeup items. I sighed, I rarely put on makeup, and tonight I decided to give it a try for the blind date.
My parents traveled else I would've asked my mother for help. My phone rang the next minute.
I glanced at it. It was Jessie.
I sighed and picked it up. “How is the date going?” She asked in excitement.
"I am not yet done with my makeup”. I replied, applying blush with struggle.
“For 2 hours!” Jessie snapped.
“You said I need to apply makeup and enhance my looks for the date!” I replied angrily.
“Yes I did, you hardly put on makeup or feminine outfits, most men don't like women who aren't feminine enough to their taste, but I didn't know you are that bad at makeup”.
“I am done. I won't waste any more time applying makeup. If I keep my date waiting for long, I am sure he will get upset and leave”. I replied.
“Well, I wish you luck, send me pictures later okay?”
“Sure”. I replied with a smile then I looked at my reflection in the mirror.
"Not too good, but I tried. I wish whosoever that date is going be he will appreciate I did this for him, Lord, please let this work this time, Amen”. I prayed shortly and picked up my purse, before heading out.

I got to the venue, not sure why every passerby was staring at me like I am some sort of alien.
Could it be my makeup? I took my phone out of my pocket and chatted my date up.
“Hello…”
“Where are you? I have been waiting!”
“I am so sorry I am outside Yummy chips, right now”.
“Well, come in, I am right inside”. I looked towards the eatery, I said a little prayer and wished myself luck.
I got into the place and murmurs filled the air. All heads were turned to me, except the man by the end, facing the other way. My supposed date, exactly the seat he described. He looked handsome, my heart raced faster. I tried not to trip due to the glances from the people inside the restaurant.
I walked slowly towards the table.
“Eric?” He turned around.
“Beau (paused a bit)….uty". His eyes widened and he looked around embarrassed.
Some people in the restaurant were stealing glances and laughing.
“You are Beauty?” I nodded with an awkward smile, his face read disappointment. He didn't say anything, so I decided to sit down, I was expecting a romantic welcome treatment but didn't ask why he ignored me.
After a few minutes of silence, I had to voice out. “Is … .there a problem, Eric? You look …disturbed.” I said softly
“You didn't mention you are fat”. He said loud enough for anyone close by to hear.
“I thought looks don't matter to you, you said so”. I said shamefully.
“Are you kidding me, of course it doesn't matter unless it's your case, ever heard of anything like exercise?”
“I am on diet actually, and I visit the gym regularly”. I replied, trying to conceal my stirred up emotions.
"Then it's worse than I thought”. He replied.
A waiter came to us. “What should I get for you, ma'am”.
I was about to reply when Eric cut me out. "Don't ask her, she is likely to eat the whole restaurant and us in it. I mean look at her”. The waiter was speechless at his reply. I have never felt so embarrassed in my entire life. I lost it and decided to be that foodie weirdo he judged me to be.
“Excuse me, can you get me 5 Hamburgers please, extra meaty, turkey wings, big bowl family size…oh and pizza lots of cheese! Emmmm …oh and potato chips too, a lot of chips, thank you”. I smiled at the stunned Waiter then looked back at Eric. His expression could only interpret miserable, he was shocked, and I loved it.
"What about you, sir?" The waiter asked him.
Eric blinked and swallowed hard, looking around awkwardly. “Any drink is okay”. Eric replied.
I immediately snapped. "Oh yeah, drink! Get me one of your best, I will love to have it too”. I told the overwhelmed Waiter and winked.
Eric wiped his face shamefully with his sweating palm. “What is wrong with you! Don't tell me you are serious with those things you ordered, are you a cow!”
“I am hungry, do you want me to stay hungry? I could have ordered more, but I was afraid you would be offended.” I made a sad face to piss him off even more.
“Well, as long as I am not paying”. Eric replied.
"No need to worry, I can pay for it”. I smiled at him.
Hell yeah! I am the one who needs to worry! What the hell am I thinking? This is an expensive place. I can't afford it!
The orders arrived faster than I expected, and the table was filled with food. “Thank you”. I replied softly and clapped my chubby hands tiny in excitement.
Then I dived into the burger like I have been starved for years, the meat juices dripped down the sides of my mouth.
Eric almost puked. Loving the reaction, I raised my head and smiled at him.
“You can join me if you want”. Eric didn't say a word but kept staring at me in disgust, hoping to get out of the place soon as possible.
I continued eating in a very embarrassing way, making him uncomfortable. Eric took a sip from his wine glass and secretly delivered a message to the waiter close by.
I was eating angrily. I have been dieting for years now and don't eat that much so I forced myself to swallow the foods. I had flashbacks of how much I had tried to lose weight, how I was bullied by everyone I came across.
A tear dropped my cheeks, the chips in my hand were falling off due to my emotions and body shaking. I forced myself and swallowed the handful of chips.
“Don't cry, you idiot”. I took the wine and drank it from the bottle.
