Bruno stepped out of his car, his usually composed face showing signs of exhaustion.
His night had been spent tending to a drunk employee, a task he hadn’t anticipated but felt obligated to handle.
Also, for some reason, he was glad it was him who was there to help her, not some other guy from the company.
As he walked towards his family mansion, he exchanged polite greetings with the security guards and the servants.
He was their favorite person, and they couldn’t help it as their faces lit up in delight at seeing him back at the mansion.
Bruno lazily walked towards the entrance, only to be intercepted by his sister, Abigail, who was on her way out.
Her face was buried in her phone, a habit she had formed since forever.
As always, she was dressed to kill.
Well, no need to expect less from a famous model and a fashion freak who spends every penny on designers.
Abigail wore a form-fitting designer dress in deep emerald green, accentuating her hourglass figure, with an elegant slit that hinted at her long, toned legs.
Her stiletto heels, glossy and red, were unmistakably Louboutin, and her diamond-studded earrings caught the light with every movement.
She was the picture of refined beauty, her flawless skin glowing under the morning sun, her dark hair falling in soft waves over her shoulders.
Bruno could tell why the big brands fought over her to be their brand ambassador; she fit their standards.
To him, however, his sister was not very attractive.
Maybe it’s a sibling thing.
Abigail looked up from her phone just in time to notice Bruno.
Her eyes narrowed in suspicion, a playful smirk curling her lips.
“Well, well, well, look who’s sneaking back in after a night out,” she teased, her voice laced with amusement. “Bruno, do you have a girlfriend you’re hiding from us? You never sleep outside, and now you’re back after leaving the house last night.”
Bruno had had enough of female drama last night that he had no reserved energy for another drama now.
Abigail’s male assistant, by the name of Raymond, hovered close by, holding her handbag. It’s still a mystery to Bruno why she chose a man to be her assistant.
However, he ignored his sister and continued walking with his two hands tucked into his ash sweatpants.
“Don’t ignore me!” Abigail snapped.
“It was an emergency from the company,” Bruno forced himself to reply, only because he did not want her to start nagging him and asking more questions.
He quickened his pace, heading towards his room.
“You are not good at lying, you know,” Abigail replied, not buying it for a second. “Also, one of my friends, Bianca. She has been dying to meet you. She’s a top model and gorgeous, sexy. It won’t hurt to give her a chance and let her blow you. She seems to be that much into you, and she said she can let you hit on the first date.”
Abigail winked.
“Wow! I am disgusted!” Bruno snapped sarcastically and walked up the staircase leading to his room.
“I was paid big to convince you, so you better do something about it and not mess things up! You are a guy; you’re supposed to love this kind of stuff! If you are gay, just say so! We will accept your boyfriend!”
She yelled out loud.
However, Bruno only replied with a loud bang of his door.
“He must have someone, and I will definitely find out. Male or female,” Abigail said to herself and walked out of the building.
Her assistant followed her immediately.
As Bruno entered his room, he collapsed onto his bed, letting out a deep sigh.
“Dear God, I never asked for a sister!” he groaned with his palms over his face.
He closed his eyes; the scenes from last night came flooding back into his thoughts.
Images of Beauty’s body, her cries and laughter, her drunk songs and twerks, her vulnerable gaze before she threw up on him.
He tossed and turned, trying to shake off those visions, but they only intensified.
He saw himself tracing the curves of her hips, the softness of her skin he had felt back then.
He wondered what would happen if she had kissed him.
He definitely would have lost it.
Glad she didn’t.
She caused enough trouble giving him a boner.
Bruno groaned, frustrated with his own dirty desires.
“What the heck is wrong with my mind?”
He had been focused on work and work since he could remember. As a child, he went to only boys’ schools until college.
He was always at the top of his class, even in college.
Despite being from a rich family, he loved succeeding on his own.
And now his brain, which was only filled with creative ideas, for some reason, was giving him images of a woman—not just any woman.
A very attractive one!
He rubbed his tired eyes, trying to shake off the memories of Beauty’s curves, her soft skin, and her red lingerie.
“How on earth can any man dump such a…”
He paused abruptly.
“This is so weird. I need to stop thinking about her… in that way. It’s disrespectful.”
His eyes snapped open, then he sat up in bed, his mind racing.
He remembered Beauty craving her favorite foods while crying, and a plan formed in his mind.
He threw off the duvet and got out of bed, determination written all over his face and rushing through his veins.
He quickly took his phone and opened the food delivery app, his fingers flying across the screen as he searched for the perfect dishes.
He recalled the exact items she mentioned.
“I love sausages, cheesecakes, and burgers, and ice cream too, but I can’t have them, or I won’t be slim. I promise I am not eating them anymore, Tim.”
He frowned at the name Tim and wondered why she seemed to mention him more than the others.
He was about to fill in the information on the food site when he realized that he didn’t know her house address.
“What a waste…”
He murmured disappointedly.
Just when he was about to leave the food website, he had an idea to check Beauty’s profile on their company’s website, which might likely have her contact information, including her home address.
“Why didn’t I think of this yesternight instead of lodging in a hotel?”
