Tabitha's POV
Elena, of course, wouldn't expect that I would find out who she was and lure her out through Klein.
Her face changed instantly, a mix of shock and fury washing over her. "Who are you to Mr. K?"
The anger was palpable, clearly indicating that I had fetched someone important to her away.
I had a vague idea of how she felt about Klein.
I smiled, "Guess."
Hearing my vague answer, Elena seemed even more jealous. "I knew it! You promiscuous skank! You don't get to be with Derek. You know what? I'm actually glad you're here. Saves me a lot of trouble."
While saying that, she was about to get up and come at me, but before she could do that, her body swayed.
She sat back down while supporting her head.
"You spiked the water?" she asked, a mix of realization and frustration in her voice.
I walked towards her step by step, my heart filled with determination. "I learned it from you, Elena. It is time we settle our scores."
I had Klein's bodyguard, who followed me here, take Elena away.
I had been waiting for today for ages.
In countless days and nights being controlled, I was like a fish unable to breathe, trying to free myself from the net that had enveloped me. And now, I had finally caught her, the culprit.
Elena was hanging by the sea. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the cold sea breeze stung her face.
Her body trembled lightly. She had a weak constitution to begin with, and of course, she couldn't withstand any forceful torment.
I felt no pity for her at all. Instead, my heart brimmed with deep-seated rage.
"Crystal," I whispered in my mind. "I want to shift."
Her voice, carrying a hint of worry, rang out in my mind. "It's gonna be tricky considering the residual effects of wolfsbane."
"I understand," I responded firmly. "But we have to try. I need that power to end all of this."
"Alright," Crystal said. "We'll face it together."
I began to concentrate and feel Crystal's presence in the depths of my heart.
Her power surged within me, but the suppression of the wolfsbane made it difficult for her to fully unleash her power.
I felt a tearing pain, but I wouldn't give up. I had to complete this shift, even if only partially.
I focused my mind on my palms.
The pain intensified, and I could feel my muscles contorting and my bones deforming.
Coarse hair sprouted on my hands, my nails elongated, and my fingers morphed into razor-sharp claws.
"I ought to thank you. Because of you, I get to be so cold-blooded. I won't have a trace of mercy no matter how much you're tortured," I said to Elena with a cold edge to my voice.
With that, I scratched her body with my claws, and blood gushed out instantly.
Elena's eyes were filled with pain, but she didn't utter a sound. Instead, she smiled eerily.
Then she said, "Is that so? Then I guess I should have administered the injection that night."
Her words made me even angrier, and I swung my claws again. "This is for avenging the fake Elena who died, and this is for Vilda."
The relentless surge of pain and anger in my heart drove me on. I hated Elena to the core. Over my dead body would I forgive her!
As I watched her white dress soaked in bright red blood, I felt no pleasure, only deep pain.
"You're responsible for all the suffering I've endured, Elena. Relish this agony. Soon, the scent of your blood will attract sharks. All I need to do is cut the rope, and you'll be finished."
"Who would have thought? Turns out you can be this cruel, too," Elena said. Though she gasped in pain, she kept smiling.
"I'm cruel?" I roared. "You made me this way! You think this is what I want? To become some sort of monster?"
I had no choice. Rather than live every day consumed by hatred, I chose this extreme measure to exact my revenge on Elena.
As long as Elena was dead, Dad would be safe, and those she had hurt would finally rest in peace.
"I don't have many days left anyway, so I don't mind going to hell with all my sins. But I'll drag you down together with me! See the sharks? They're getting closer and closer."
I pointed at the sharks as they swarmed toward the blood-stained sea.
"You deserve to die, Elena!" There was a look of madness on my face.
Suddenly, a cold voice rang out. "Tabitha, what are you doing?" I turned my head and saw a familiar man, his eyes filled with shock and disbelief.
