Alpha's Wife Hunt

Chapter 243

Ch. 243 / 840 May 06, 2026

Tabitha's POV

I listened quietly to Jasper's words, my hatred towards Elena deepening a notch.

This bitch had not only wrecked my happiness but also hurt the innocent.

I made up my mind to leave with Jasper for the island to see John. But before that, I had something major I needed to do.

The car pulled up by the beach, and Jasper, seeing the expression on my face, got a bit puzzled. "Tabitha, what's up?"

"Nothing. I just need to settle the score with someone." With that, I got out of the car and slammed the door shut.

"Wait, you're not going after Elena, are you? No, please don't do that. She's a devil.

"Tabitha, you're risking your neck! Come back!" he yelled as he pounded on the window, but I didn't go back.

I knew this was my only shot at killing Elena.

After today, I was out of Seattle for good. Even if I died because of wolfsbane, I wouldn't call Derek or meet him ever again.

Thus, I gotta wreak vengeance on Elena today!

Derek's POV

The heavy meeting room door closed behind me. I wearily rubbed my forehead and asked my assistant, "What time is it?"

"It's almost 5 PM, Alpha. Do you want to go home for dinner today?" the assistant asked respectfully.

Upon hearing his words, I thought of Tabitha.

A wave of remorse surged up inside me.

Lately, every time I thought about Tabitha, guilt gnawed at me. I had no clue how to face her.

"No," I replied briefly.

Just then, my phone buzzed. I picked up, and Rolf's voice came from the other end of the line.

"Alpha Derek, Tabitha went to the mall today and suddenly disappeared.

"Did she run off again?" His voice carried a hint of anxiety.

I thought, 'Run off? But where could she even go?

She has no family now, and she has to stay in Seattle to find the truth. She won't just leave like that.'

"Get people to look for her. I don't think she's gonna flee," I instructed sternly.

"Got it," Rolf replied.

I was about to head out to find Tabitha when I got a call from the pack guards. "Alpha Derek, Elena's left the castle."

"Follow her. I'll be right there," I immediately ordered.

I'd been looking for a chance to get close to Elena for a while, and finally, it came up.

I gotta go take her back now.

Then I rang Rolf up, commanding, "Search carefully. Don't let anything happen to Tabitha."

"Got it, Alpha Derek," he replied.

I hung up the phone, feeling torn inside.

Sure, Tabitha's safety was crucial, but it might be my only chance to bring Elena back.

Tabitha's POV

Today, I threw on a sleek black outfit.

Elena, who used to treat me as a plaything, was now my prey.

I hid around the corner, watching her stepping inside the beachside restaurant.

She was wearing a white long-sleeved dress, cleverly hiding the scars on her arms, looking as innocent and beautiful as a gardenia.

I had Klein ask her out, for I knew in her heart, Klein was like a hero who pulled her out of the darkness and enabled her to start afresh.

As expected, she arrived on time.

The waiter served her with appetizers and lemonade.

She glanced around, looking for Klein, but of course, he would never show up. It was just a trap of mine.

She started gulping down her lemonade, perhaps trying to ease her nerves.

After waiting for a while, I walked into the restaurant step by step.

Then I stopped in front of her, saying in a calm and indifferent voice, "Sorry for having kept you waiting."

Elena looked up, a look of surprise appearing on her face as she saw me.

"What are you doing here?" she exclaimed.

I glared at her, finally feeling like I was in control.

"It's really not easy to meet you in person. I've been waiting forever," I hissed.
