Alpha's Caged Love

Meeting the girls

Ch. 9 / 159 May 05, 2026

It was the first time in Selena's life that she had tried anything that tasted as amazing as the eggs and bacon, and she couldn't help but feel like she was on the verge of having an orgasmic experience. She subsisted on the leftovers, as well as the canned items and instant noodles that were in her father's pack. And Gerald was such a miser he just gave her enough to keep her alive. The flavour that she was experiencing at that moment was so different from anything else in her life that it prompted her to ask a question. Why was he acting so cordial towards her? Was he putting on weight on the sheep before they were slaughtered?

Cayden made the astute decision to remain silent while he consumed his own lunch, and she did not talk again until she had completely cleaned her plate. After what seemed like an eternity, she put down her fork when she had the distinct impression that her stomach was about to explode.

"Thank you very much for the food. That was the most delicious thing I've ever had." She spoke.

He appeared to be enjoying himself as he relaxed farther into the sofa.

"It was simply a regular breakfast, but I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed it."

"Why are you treating me with such kindness?" She inquired, unsure of why she had the courage to ask these questions, but reasoning that she had nothing to lose by doing so because she had nothing to gain.

His expression lacked any trace of amusement, and he moved closer. "You would rather have me behave badly, wouldn't you?"

"No! I was just taken aback by the food, and you haven't yelled at me."

"Oh! I am very well aware of the inappropriate things you have done. How you tried to fight off Martha and wound one of my men in the process? Your misbehaviour will not go unnoticed and unpunished."

When Selena saw the haunted and ferocious look in his eyes, she knew it was essential to keep as much distance as possible between herself and the evils he was harbouring.

"Tonight you will become my personal sex toy, while remaining attached to a leash." He said it casually while he was examining her figure and leaning in closer to her.

His eyes narrowed and focussed intently on hers. Despite her best efforts, a hint of moisture could be felt on her labia lips as she attempted, but failed, to conceal the fact that she was aroused. Why was it she found his insulting statements to be so provocative?

"Come on, little wolf, you won't be kept waiting for too long." As he stood up from his seat, he said.

Selena followed him in complete silence. To her astonishment, they exited the building that appeared to be a mansion and entered a quaint courtyard instead. After being greeted by the sun, she paused for a moment to catch her breath. While she was with Gerald, she was restricted to staying close to home, so even a stroll in the garden was a special privilege. She inhaled deeply of the refreshingly chilly air, which was a welcome change from the muggy, hot, and perspiration-filled air of her previous residence.

When she knew Cayden was staring at her, she opened her eyes.

"What?" she inquired.

He gave her a head shake as if to disabuse her of a thought. "Nothing"

Selena spotted many guards strapped down with machine guns standing about, studying their surroundings intently as they continued to stroll through the nicely groomed garden. It appeared an attack may happen at any moment.

"What did you say you did again?" As he hurried forwards, she asked him the question.

He answered with a sinister cackle. "I don't believe I said anything."

He was trying to be obscure on purpose.

"There were a great number of firearms in the area. Do you expect an attack on you?"

He explained his cool demeanour by stating, "I have enemies; therefore, it is always wise to be prepared."

She watched as the massive metal gate in the wall withdrew, revealing a nicely paved cobblestone street lined by sandstone-coloured buildings on either side. She could get a glimpse of what appeared to be a big courtyard area, with people undertaking various training exercises judged by the faint sound of someone yelling orders just beyond the row of houses. Most of the people wandering around in the streets were soldiers.

Cayden received polite glances from the troops that passed, but no one stayed to talk to them. This was apparently what he wanted since he hurried down the street. Selena could make out in the distance what appeared to be barracks designed for the military; the white building that emerged in front of them diverted her attention almost immediately.

As they neared a white building with multiple stories, people continued to ignore them, as usual. When the wolves caught sight of Cayden, their panic caused them to run away quickly. They proceeded down the hallway until they reached what appeared to be a lobby or a common space. In the large lounge area, there were several young wolves that were hanging about.

"Selena!" As Nancy bounced her way over to her, she exclaimed. A handful of the other ladies of her pack approached with caution. As soon as they spotted Cayden, the wolves did what they always do and fled away.

Selena broke her silence and said, "Hello."

The person who was sitting closest to her responded timidly with, "Hi."

"How are all of you doing?" Selena mumbled while trying to make sense of the chaos in her thoughts.

"Everything is going well for us; we have been provided with food, clothing, and additional responsibilities." Nancy stated.

Selena's gaze went straight to her neck, where she noticed Nancy was missing her collar. She responded almost immediately.

"They took it away." Nancy exuded joy and was in good health.

Selena shifted her focus to Cayden as she turned.

"It wasn't enchanted." He shrugged.

Nancy explained, "5 of our girls found their mates, and they have moved in with them."

Had Cayden... ended up saving them in the end? Selena thought Selena experienced a glimmer of something that could be described as a glimmer of optimism. Until she was struck by a gloomy notion. Had he simply set them aside so that he could make use of them later? They may be in a much worse situation. Her heart just didn't buy into the idea. Despite his harshness, the women seemed happy and well taken care of. Maybe he just hated her.

She finally mumbled, with a raspy voice, "I'm pleased you're okay," while touching the painful spot on her forehead and being at a loss for what else to say.

"Soon, I will come over to meet you. I have been designated to work in the Alpha mansion." Nancy said.

Once more, Selena shifted her attention to Cayden.

"I had the impression that you would receive reassurance from someone who is close to you. However, that does not imply that you are free."

"Of course." The caustic response came from Selena.

"You will all be taken in the pack in the next full moon ceremony. Unless you plan to die or go rogue, you can't escape." He insisted, looking at the women who fidgeted nervously.

Cayden started walking away from Selena while looking back over his shoulder and arching his eyebrow that subtly dared her to approach him. The moment she laid eyes on him, she was barraged by mental pictures of him ripping apart her pack. He was still a monster, and she was still his captive.

He took a firm grip on her arm and started guiding her back to the Alpha mansion as they climbed down the stairs. So he had reverted to his old pattern of being a possessive jerk. That was good to know.
