It was a crisp winter's morning, and the world was covered in a fresh layer of snow. Although the air was cold, the sun shed a warm, golden glow over the landscape. A wonderful event was unfolding in a hospital room deep in the heart of the woods.
Kristine Charlotte Greymark made her big debut in the world as the first snowflakes of the season fell from the heavens. The newborn's cries filled the hospital, her arrival as eagerly as expected as the snow outside. Her small fingers curled and uncurled, as if she wanted to touch the world around her.
Cayden, the proud father, stood in awe, his heart bursting with joy. His face softened as he gazed at the beautiful baby girl in his arms. "Selena, she's perfect," he whispered, his voice filled with emotion.
Selena, her eyes brimming with tears of happiness, smiled tenderly at Cayden. "Yes, she is," she replied, her voice filled with love. She reached out to touch Kristine's blonde hair, her fingers brushing against the baby's delicate skin. "Our little miracle."
The news of Kristine's birth spread like wildfire through the pack. Soon, members of the pack arrived at the hospital, their faces alight with excitement and joy. They gathered around the new family, their happiness radiating through the room. The hospital quickly transformed into a hub of celebration.
"This is a moment to celebrate!" said Max. He gave Kylie, his friend, a wink while she stood next to him. "Kylie, when do you think we should plan for our little one?"
Kylie rolled her eyes and gave Max a fake scolding look as a joke. "Oh, Max, don't be so quick!" She responded, "Let's start by celebrating Kristine's arrival," her voice full of loving amusement.
As is their habit, the pack threw a party without planning to. They all howled, and their joyful sounds echoed through the forest and up into the sky. In a careless show of their happiness, some of them even changed into wolves and ran through the snowy woods.
The smell of a barbeque wafted through the air as pack members lit a fire and began grilling delicious meats. The scent mingled with the crisp, wintry aroma, creating an irresistible combination. Plates were piled high with food, and laughter filled the air as the pack indulged in their feast.
As the festivities reached a peak, Cayden, still holding Kristine, had to raise his voice to be heard over the revelry. "Alright, everyone, let's not get too carried away!" he chuckled. "We don't want to overwhelm our little snowflake."

The day after Kristine's birth dawned with the promise of a brighter and warmer world. The snowfall from the previous day had given way to a crisp, cloudless morning, and the sun streamed through the cabin's windows, casting a gentle, golden glow over everything it touched. The woods, once again, were wrapped in the serene beauty of nature, as if celebrating the newest member of the Spirit Walker Pack.
When Jennifer visited the pack to see her granddaughter, her eyes sparkled with delight as she took in the sight before her. Selena, the new mother, looked radiant despite the weariness that clung to her. She was cradling baby Kristine, her eyes filled with a mixture of awe and love as she stared down at her daughter.
Jennifer approached Selena with a beaming smile, her heart overflowing with happiness. "Selena, my dear," she said, her voice filled with warmth, "she is absolutely perfect. She looks just like you when you were a baby. Except she is blonde! like me!"
Selena's eyes shimmered with tears of gratitude as she accepted her mother's praise. "Thank you, Mum," she replied softly. "I can't believe she's finally here."
Just then, as if sensing her grandmother, Kristine stirred in Selena's arms. Her bright green eyes, a reflection of Cayden's, fluttered open, and she let out a small, plaintive cry.
Jennifer let out a soft laugh. "Oh, she's already letting us know she's there," she said, her happiness clear. "May I hold her, Selena?"
Selena carefully gave Kristine to her mother with a soft smile. Jennifer held the baby in her arms and felt so much love for him or her. She was amazed at her granddaughter's tiny, perfect features. She looked at each one carefully, as if she wanted to burn the memory into her soul.
When Kristine became more fussy, Selena realised it was time to feed her. She fed Kristine, who eagerly latched on to her nipple, her tiny fingers curling around Selena's hand. Mother and daughter shared a tender moment together, filled with understanding that went beyond words.
"How are Rose and David's mum?" Selena asked her mother.
"They are fine; they have sent their congratulations. Rose wanted to visit as well. But she is pregnant right now. I advised her not to stress herself."
Jennifer's mother replied with a hint of concern in her voice.
"I'm glad they're doing well. It's wise of Rose to prioritise her health and the baby's well-being. We can always plan a visit once she's feeling more comfortable." Selena said.
David and Rose were still living in the Silver River Pack, though not as Alpha and Luna. The council had rebuilt itself, with Ruben and Thalia leading it. Under their leadership, they imposed stricter rules and implemented new policies to ensure the safety and stability of the packs. Any Alpha who was disobedient to the Council's rules was quickly dealt with. This created a sense of order and unity among the packs, as everyone understood the consequences of going against the council. Everyone was grateful for the peace and security that had been established.
The baby suckled greedily, making squeaky noises. Jennifer smiled.
"You've brought so much joy into our lives, my dear."
Selena's eyes twinkled mischievously as she teased her mother. "Speaking of joy, Mum, are you planning to visit Dr. Colin today?"
Jennifer chuckled and raised an eyebrow. "Well, I have an appointment with him later," she admitted. "But it's just a check-up, Selena, nothing more."
Selena couldn't resist a teasing grin. "Oh, come on, Mum! You and Dr. Colin, spending so much time together—it's like a plot straight out of a romance novel!"
Jennifer laughed, her cheeks turning a faint shade of pink. "Selena, you're reading too much into it. We're just friends, and he's been a great support."
Selena winked playfully. "Uh-huh, just friends, I see. Well, you never know what might happen in the future."
Jennifer playfully rolled her eyes. "You're impossible, Selena. But really, I'm not ready for any kind of relationship right now. Let's focus on you, Cayden, and this little angel."
With a knowing smile, Jennifer left the room, leaving Selena to enjoy her breakfast and some much-needed rest. However, as soon as the door closed, Selena couldn't help but let out a frustrated sigh.
Turning to Cayden, who had been quietly observing the exchange, Selena asked with a hint of exasperation, "Do you think there's something going on between Mum and Dr. Colin?"
Cayden couldn't help but laugh heartily at Selena's question. He shook his head and replied, "Selena, it seems like motherhood has made you nosy."
Selena sighed. "I guess I was just being silly. It's just that, well, with all the chaos of having a baby, my mind sometimes wanders into strange territories."
Cayden reached over and gently squeezed Selena's hand. "I understand, love. But for now, let's not worry about it. We have our hands full with this little one, and that's enough to keep us busy."
Selena grinned. "You're right. I should focus on our family and enjoy these moments with Kristine. Mum can handle her own romantic life."
Cayden chuckled. "Exactly. Once she is fed, I'll take care of Kristine for a little while so you can get some well-deserved rest."
As Selena nodded in agreement, she couldn't help but feel a surge of gratitude for the support of her mate.
As Kristine sucked, Cayden couldn't contain his emotions any longer. His eyes glistened with unshed tears.
"Selena," he began, his voice trembling with emotion, "I never thought I would find happiness like this. You and Kristine... you've given me a life I never imagined possible."
Selena looked up at Cayden, her own eyes brimming with love. "Cayden," she replied softly, "we've both been through so much, but we've found our way to each other, and now we have Kristine. We've found our happiness together, and I wouldn't change a thing."
Cayden gently placed a hand on Selena's shoulder, his touch conveying a depth of emotion that words could not express. "I love you," he whispered, his voice filled with sincerity.
Selena smiled through her tears, her heart overflowing with love. "And I love you," she replied, her voice filled with the same depth of feeling.
At that tender moment, surrounded by the warmth and affection of family. Selena and Cayden realised that their journey together had brought them to a place of immense joy and contentment.
