Alpha King of Ruin and Desire

Chapter 18

Ch. 18 / 150 Dec 30, 2025

Kian carried Amelia the final few feet, depositing her gently onto the vast, silk-draped bed. The sheets were cool beneath her, a stark contrast to the burning heat radiating off Kian's bare chest. He stood over her, breathing heavily, his wolf's gold gaze sweeping over her supine form, a magnificent, scarred warrior finally in possession of his prize.

The moment stretched, heavy with expectation. Amelia, the Queen who had just commanded an empire, felt her strategic mind utterly fail her. She was a tangled mess of white silk and crushing vulnerability. She lifted her arms, instinctively covering herself where the gown had slipped, a purely human gesture of shyness.

Pathetic, her wolf, usually a fierce engine of vengeance, sneered in the quiet chamber of her mind. You are the True Luna. Take him. He is yours, and he is perfect.

Easy for you to say, Amelia thought back, her heart hammering a wild rhythm against her ribs. You haven’t been here before. I have no data on this operation.

You’ve commanded armies, yet you fear a bed? The wolf scoffed, a mixture of mockery and impatience. He smells like victory and home. Stop trembling and submit to the bond.

Kian sat on the edge of the bed, his presence immediately grounding. He didn't try to strip the rest of the silk from her; instead, his large, calloused hand cupped her cheek, his thumb gently stroking her skin. The touch was impossibly tender, cutting through her panic.

"You're shaking, Luna," Kian observed, his voice a low, melodic rumble, his gold eyes filled with concern, not dominance. "I did not earn your trust today only to frighten you now. Tell me what is wrong."

Amelia swallowed, trying to find her voice. Her lips felt swollen from their previous kisses. "Nothing is 'wrong,' Alpha. It's just... the finality of it. The bond, the completion... It’s overwhelming."

Kian smiled, a genuine, heartbreakingly beautiful expression that softened the harsh lines of his face. He leaned down and pressed a slow, reverent kiss to her forehead, a mark of devotion rather than possession.

"It is only overwhelming because we waited a decade for this," he murmured, pulling back slightly. "We have the rest of the night, Amelia. We have a lifetime. We will move at your pace."

He started to trace the diamond vine woven into her hair. As he did, his hand brushed the delicate skin at the nape of her neck, sending a fresh wave of primal desire through her. The gown, caught on her hips, felt heavy and restrictive.

"The silk must go," Kian decided, his voice growing deeper. He reached for the gown's remaining fasteners. He was slow and deliberate, treating the expensive fabric like a sacred artifact. As the final layer pooled at her waist, exposing her fully to his gaze, Amelia squeezed her eyes shut, unable to bear the intensity of his scrutiny.

He made a sound—a soft, surprised intake of breath. He didn't move for a long moment. Amelia felt his immense hand settle gently on her hip, completely still.

"Amelia," Kian whispered, a note of shock entering his voice. "Your bond marker… it is unmarred."

Amelia’s breath hitched. She knew what he meant. Her inner wrist, just beneath the pulse point—the traditional spot for a Morvane mate’s first, non-binding physical claim—was untouched. Morvanes traditionally claimed their mates with a light bite or pressure mark long before a public wedding, often immediately after the engagement was finalized.

And more importantly, there was the ultimate sign of virginity, the untouched physical barrier that indicated the True Mate bond had never been fully, physically initiated.

Kian looked up, his emerald eyes now wide with disbelief. "Zoran Vane claimed you publicly, you were engaged for years. You were supposed to be his Luna. You mean to tell me... you're a virgin?"

Amelia felt the blush burn across her chest and neck. The Queen, the strategist, was suddenly a deeply embarrassed girl. "The engagement was a political farce, Kian. A negotiation. Zoran wouldn't touch me. He said I was 'too cold,' too 'unresponsive,' that I was better left pure for the diplomatic photo ops. He was waiting for the perfect moment to consummate the bond and make the claim absolute, but he never took it. He never truly claimed me." Amelia’s voice was heavy.

See? Virgin! Unclaimed! An absolute insult to the Luna power! Her wolf howled, torn between mocking her past and demanding his present.

Kian’s expression transformed. The surprise vanished, replaced by a devastating mix of reverence and fierce, possessive anger directed at Zoran. The idea that his fated Luna had been left untouched, yet publicly shamed, ignited a volcanic need to claim her properly.

"He called you cold?" Kian scoffed, his voice vibrating with disbelief. He bent down, his lips brushing the shell of her ear. "You are fire, Amelia. You are pure, unclaimed fire. And I will burn for you slowly, until there is nothing left but us."

He moved his attention to her collarbone, pressing a string of soft, lingering kisses along the delicate skin, worshipping her purity. His hand traced the curve of her hip, his touch light, respectful, yet brimming with the promise of future dominance. Amelia’s entire body started to cover with goosebumps

"The political claim is complete," Kian murmured against her skin, his breath sending delicious shivers through her. "But tonight, I claim your heart, Amelia Thorne. I claim what should have always been mine." Amelia covered herself with the soft sheet, and Kian gently held her palm, stopping her in the mid way.

“Do not cover yourself for me, Amelia. We have come a long way. My wolf and I were desperate for our mate. Let us take care of you. I promise I’ll be gentle, “ Amelia was surprised to hear the gentle and calm tone of Kian. She couldn’t believe this was the ruthless Alpha king everyone feared.

He moved closer, his weight settling over her, not crushing, but enveloping, warm, and utterly protective. The tension of the last decade, the political maneuvering, and the pain of the curse vanished, replaced by the exquisite heat of their final, inevitable fusion.
