Unwanted Mate

Chapter 108

Ch. 108 / 165 Jun 23, 2025

The afternoon breeze gently caressed Celeste's skin, carrying with it the soothing warmth of the sun. Nestled beneath the shade of a tree, Celeste found peace and finally surrendered to the irresistible embrace of a dream.

As her eyelids fluttered closed, the fragmented patterns of the tree's branches danced before her eyes, enveloping her in a mesmerizing play of light and darkness.

She dreamed of being in the darkness, yearning for something elusive yet profound. She kept running forward, but she wasn't sure if she was running on her two legs or on her wolf's four. All she knew was that she was chasing and pursuing something, but she didn't know what it was. With each stride, a sense of longing intensified within her.

She seemed to feel something flowing out of her body, a tremendous sense of loss. The weight of an immense loss settled upon her, a cavernous void that seemed to devour her very being. This sense of loss had been gnawing at her for many days, as if it could never be satisfied.

She yearned for something, but didn't know what it was. Perhaps she knew, but she didn't want to think about it. The chaotic dream didn't seem to give her a concrete answer, either.

However, in the darkness, she seemed to see a ray of light, not particularly bright but undoubtedly there.

Driven by an inexplicable magnetic pull, Celeste ventured towards the light. Each step carried her closer, as if the radiance had the power to fill the hollow void that haunted her spirit. The air itself bore a familiar fragrance, wrapping around her senses like a comforting embrace. It was a scent she knew intimately, one that whispered of memories and soothing tranquility, causing the violent beat of her heart to steady and find calm amidst the chaos of her dreams.

She could feel a growing pressure, pulling herself towards that beam of light, compelling her to draw nearer, inch by inch, until she merged completely with the light, never to separate again.

And so, Celeste opened her eyes. As soon as she did, she saw that handsome, familiar face, staring at her intently without turning away.

She guessed she was still in the dream. She inhaled, and the air she breathed in was filled with the familiar scent of fresh grass. It was this air that calmed her restless heart, but now, as she opened her eyes and stared at the man before her, her once-calmed heart seemed to start pounding wildly again.

Celeste blinked her eyes in disbelief. This dream was just too real, along with the man in front of her and the intoxicating scent in her nostrils.

Her parted lips hinted at an unspoken desire to vocalize, to confirm the authenticity of this experience. She needed to confirm whether she was dreaming or not. But in the next moment, she caught sight of flames ablaze in the man's piercing blue eyes, flames that burned with an untamed passion. Then, the man lowered his body, and his lips met hers.

It all happened in a blur, the sequence of events unfolding in rapid succession. Celeste was left utterly unprepared, with no time to comprehend the gravity of the situation. All she could perceive was the tender and supple sensation that touched her lips.

The soft touch of the lips had once landed on her cheek. This touch had meant to land on her lips that night, but it never happened.

  Now, the touch happened.

  They kissed.

Celeste could finally feel what it was like to have those lips on hers.

She had thought more than once about how it would feel to have those lips on hers. Every time, she tried hard to dismiss such thoughts, but they became too frequent, turning into memories buried deep in her mind. Once she let her guard down, this mixture of memory and imagination would strike her like a venomous snake, catching her off guard and leaving her defenseless again.

When Jeremy was far away from Celeste, she could try her best to keep herself and her wolf from thinking about the touch. But now, her struggles seemed to be in vain. She couldn't stop her thoughts from revisiting the tender touch of his lips upon her cheek. The ghost of that tender sensation had been haunting her, and now, it seemed much stronger and unstoppable.

The wistful fantasies paled in comparison to what she was feeling now. And it was too overwhelmingly real.

Celeste remembered the softness and warmth when Jeremy's lips landed on her cheek. But at this moment, as his lips now pressed against hers, she noticed a subtle pressure and commanding dominance. There was an untamed fervor and unspoken yearning that made her shiver.

Celeste parted her lips slightly, a subtle invitation that Jeremy exploited without a moment of hesitation.

As his lips met hers, it felt as though he was emboldened to push the boundaries further, his advances becoming increasingly aggressive and invasive. His tongue invaded Celeste's startled mouth, catching her off guard and momentarily leaving her stunned.

The suddenness of Jeremy's actions startled Celeste, and a soft whimper escaped her lips. But this small whimper seemed to only fuel the man's desire, intensifying his relentless assault. Each kiss felt like a desperate attempt to rob her of the very air she needed, leaving Celeste with no option but to succumb.

This kiss was a jarring departure from Celeste's expectations, a wild storm of passion she hadn't anticipated. She had expected a tender kiss, but the overwhelming desire and fervency displayed before she took her breath away. And yet, in the overwhelming sensations, she couldn't deny the inexplicable comfort she found.

She found herself trapped in the chair, sandwiched between its confines and the weight of the man.

He pressed her down firmly, leaving her with nowhere to go and allowing no room for escape. His lips became Celeste's sole anchor, the only source of support she could cling to.

She had to tilt her head back, trying to get more air, but it was in vain. Because to Jeremy, this seemed like another plea for intimacy, undoubtedly further stimulating him to deepen the kiss.

Just as Celeste was about to pass out from lack of oxygen, Jeremy finally released her.

Celeste was dazed. She opened her eyes and stared at the man in front of her, his lips slightly swollen, indicating the intensity of the kiss. But there was a smile at the corner of Jeremy's mouth.

Celeste couldn't help but think that this kiss felt so real. It was too real.
