Bryce moved back to the guest room and Angela ended up spending the night alone. She tossed and turned in bed. Occasionally, she turns to look at Bryce's side of the bed. It was empty. In the guest room, Bryce was no different. He kept tossing and turning in bed feeling Angela's absence. They both ended up lying down facing upwards and staring at the ceiling.
Angela did not know when sleep took over, but when she opened her eyes again, it was due to the buzzing sound of her alarm. She turned it off and quickly freshened it. She dressed up and left the house in an Uber heading for the company. The moment Angela arrived, she quickly took care of her usual morning routine and went to the cafeteria to get Bryce's coffee for him. At the cafeteria, she ran into Diana.
"Good morning Angela," Diana greeted drawing Angela's attention to her.
"Good morning, how are you?" Angela replied smiling.
"I am good. Yesterday, I came by your office but I was met with your absence," Diana informed her.
"Yeah, I had some meeting in town," Angela explained. "And by the way, thank you for the drink," she appreciated.
"You liked it?" Diana asked, her eyes shining like two moons.
"It was nice," Angela appreciated.
"I am glad you like it. I brought you one," Diana said with a broad smile plastered on her face as she handed a drink she brought out of her bag to Angela.
"I am sorry I have to decline. I will be very busy today. I am not sure I can carry this around with me together with my documents," Angela said.
"Oh come on. I am your friend. So can't I buy you stuff," Diana whined.
"I am not saying that," Angela replied trying not to make Diana feel belittled.
"It's just a small box. Please, that is my way of greeting my friends," Diana said and pouted lips.
"Okay, fine," Angela said and accepted the drink from Diana.
"Thank you," Diana said squealing with happiness. "So when would you start teaching me," she asked with her bright eyes.
"Once today's premiere is done, I will have some time and we can start something," Angela replied.
"That sounds great," Diana said. "I have to head back now. Work starts soon and I have to be behind my desk," she added making weird faces.
Angela smiled and Diana left. As soon as her back was facing Angela, she rolled her eyes. She retrieved her phone from her pocket and sent a message to Susan.
Angela unaware she was holding another spiked drink, got Bryce's coffee and left for the eighth floor. She placed the coffee on Bryce's table and left for her office. Inside her office, she picked up her documents and requested an Uber. She exited her office and hurried to the elevator. Soon she was on the ground floor heading for her Uber. Her phone began to ring and it was Bryce's name that flashed on her screen. She didn't answer but sat in her Uber and left the place heading to Don Entertainment. She knew Bryce was calling to ask her to return home. She didn't want to do that. She had worked so hard on this project and she was going to finish it successfully and take the glory due her.
She arrived at Don Entertainment and after their meeting, she took the drink Diana had given her. Angela left Don Entertainment with Don for the cinema. On the ride to the cinema, Angela started feeling tired.
"Angela, are you okay?" Don asked noticing how odd Angela was.
"I am fine," Angela replied and continued going through the script for the media.
They arrived at the cinema and they went inside. A man came to meet them.
"Welcome, I am Steve Manson. I was told you were coming here today," Steve said.
"Angela Anderson," Angela introduced.
"Just call me Don," Don introduced.
"Great, let's go inside," Steve said and led the way in.
They soon entered a room where the team members were present. Angela and Don sat next to each other on the provided seat.
"Okay, you have everything here?" Steve asked after introducing the other team members.
"Yes," Angela replied and handed the evening programme to Steve.
"Okay, there will be a red carpet and we will have a little engagement with the media. There will be an interview session with the key characters," Steve informed them.
"That will be before the movie is shown on the big screen right?" Angela asked trying to remain focused.
"Yes," Steve replied.
The meeting continued and Angela struggled to remain focused. Her contribution became less and less because she kept forgetting what she wanted to say and her mind was replaced with something else. Angela intended not to go back home so she came prepared. She had taken with her an extra dress to change into for the event programme.
The time soon drew closer and Angela found a washroom. Cleaned up a little and changed into her beautiful gown. She ignored all the calls from Bryce and eventually put her phone off. It was time for the interview. Angela, Don, Caroline, and Alexander together with three supporting role cast were seated.
The interview was going all well until a question was thrown at Angela.
"We understand, you were the project lead and helped with everything. How did you achieve this success?" the host asked.
"Well, It wasn't easy but I was able to do it. I had a wonderful team and great support from my husband, who was previously distant from me but now is okay," Angela replied and everyone turned to look at Angela surprised but she was smiling.
"You are married?" the host asked.
"Yes, it is kind of strange but yes. I am married," Angela replied still smiling.
"Wow, that is a revelation. We will dive into that later," the host said. "For now, we are doing something different today. We do have a few images from the set. This is from the selection of the cast and other activities that took place. Some will say behind the scenes, We will display them on the screen and after that, we will find out who this wonderful husband of Angela Anderson is," she said and the images started showing on the screen.
The images started with Angela meeting with the team and next was her selection of the male lead, Alexander. The next image made everyone gasp. It was an image of Angela in an intimate position with a man. The next image was still Angela with the same man kissing.
"Wait, something is wrong," the host said with a frown and tried to have the images taken off but to no avail.
Angela was just sitting there smiling to everyone's surprise like she wanted people to see those images of her. Don leaned towards Angela and in a low voice decided to understand what was going on.
"Angela, did you know about the images?" Don asked, surprised Angela was not bothered about the images showing on the screen.
"Yes, I have everything under control," Angela replied still smiling.
"But why will you put your dirty images on national TV?" Don questioned angrily while the host was trying to get the team to stop the slide show.
"Watch how you are talking to me, if not I will have you fired?" Angela yelled at Don to his surprise, and the surprise of everyone present.
The whole scene was live on TV.
Bryce was in a car annoyed Angela was not answering his calls. He met with some clients for an important business meeting. He was now heading for the cinema. In the back seat of the car, he decides to watch the ongoing interview.
He heard everything Angela said and decided it was best not to show up at the cinema but rather start preparing to address what just happened. The company was going to make headlines with what had just happened.
"Angela?" Bryce called her name under his breath while they headed for his estate.
Meanwhile, back at Susan's apartment, Susan watched the live interview with Eva and they laughed as they watched Angela disgrace herself on national TV.
"Diamond Corporation is getting its first scandal," Susan said laughing. "Now call your friend and tell him tomorrow at 6 am, he should let the other news go live," she said and Eva got on the phone immediately smiling.
"Hello, tomorrow at 6 am, let the news go live," Eva instructed and ended the call.
"Let's see how Bryce handles this. While he is busy with this, let's find out who Angela is staying with, in that estate," Susan said. "If it is Bryce, I am telling his father," she added.
